carterfox90 Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 0-0 draw in a poor game they are no mugs this season & rate them very similar to us will be happy with a point
bluebeau Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 2-0 leicesterfryatt brace and gallgher to get off the mark That makes 3 doesn't it? I reckon City to win by 1 goal, 1-0, 2-1, 3-2
StanSP Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 2-0 leicesterfryatt brace and gallgher to get off the mark So 3 nil then?? I'm going for a draw.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 Tough one to call as they're in decent form and you can guarantee Cleverley will score for them. I'm going for either 1-1 with the on form Fryatt scoring for us or 2-1 with Fryatt and Wellens notching one each.
Scow Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 The only real test they've had so far was their trip to Sheffield United, which they lost 2-0. I remember reading a few comments from Sheffield United fans, and even from Blackwell himself, that we were tougher opponents. I'd rather have our team than theirs, but I can see this being a tight game nonetheless. However, I think we'll have enough to grab that first away win providing things go for us.
Thracian Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 Despite being portrayed by a few as having no faith in our players I've gone for a win - yet again. Only against Sheffield United away have I doubted that City could win if they played to their strengths. As stated Cleverley is a threat. He wasn't perfect with us but he had pace, energy, attitude and skill and I haven't seen all of those qualities together in any one of our newcomers. It will be interesting to see how we approach the job cos there's so much work to be done both on individuals, the style of play we adopt, our ability to get players forward quickly on the counter-attack and our threat from set-pieces. It's a wonder they're not complaining down at Belvoir Drive that they're training into the night with the work that's pending.
Jiggers the Fox Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 So 3 nil then??I'm going for a draw. Edit: meant 3-0
Criggers Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 Peterborough have had a not too good start and we had a 100% home record. So what happens, we draw. Watford have played nobody of particular note apart from Sheff Utd who they lost against 2-0, and who also (according to this thread) stated we were a stronger team than Watford. We are also on the same goal difference and points as them although they are above us which must mean they have scored more goals than us, and conceded more than us. What can we take from this? We can take from this that we cant score but can defend and they cant defend but can score (roughly). But, seeing as we're a "stronger team" they should struggle to score against out better defence, and we should have a chance of scoring ourselves. So this calculates to Watford 3 - 0 Leicester We're bound to get a spanking sooner or later and since Cleverley played well for us last season its written that he will put in a good performance against us this season. Edit: Lets not forget the rave reviews Cleverley will get after pulling us apart

Their 3 wins have came against the 3 worst teams in the division; Barnsley, Plymouth and Forest So we'll win 1-0
cecchini Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 Raj, I'll be there, So its gonna be eith 3 nil to us or 2 nil to them I suspect the latter. I'll be flying in this time, so no fast ride in a big red tank
Monk Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 So this calculates toWatford 3 - 0 Leicester Fuzzy logic?

Fox92 Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 I have feared this match for the past week or so, but I have a funny feeling that Leicester will nick it 1-0. Mystic Meg
savedave Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 I'm going for another away draw on this one. First game of the season for me, but i will be in the Watford end!
maddog Posted 17 September 2009 Author Posted 17 September 2009 I would be happy with a point, the result isn't as important to me as the performance. I would probably also prefer a good performance and an entertaining match as this will be my 3rd awayer of the season, equalling last seasons total already
dogadug Posted 17 September 2009 Posted 17 September 2009 I'm going for another away draw on this one. First game of the season for me, but i will be in the Watford end! I would never sit in the opposing teams end

dogadug Posted 18 September 2009 Posted 18 September 2009 Casey Shopping???WOMEN!!! Cya Sat!! Watford 1 LCFC 7 liking it
BrummieFOX Posted 18 September 2009 Posted 18 September 2009 I would never sit in the opposing teams end Nor me, couldn't bring myself to do it. If I wasn't in our end, I'd much rather sit in front of Soccer Saturday or listen on the radio. I go to away games to sing and cheer on City, enjoy a few (too many) beers in a different City and hope for 3 points! Sitting in silence in the opposing end would kill me, especially if we had a particularly good following.
