Coventry City 1-1 Leicester City

Final score 1-1.

Pretty good result, the main talking point likely to be the unexpected return of DJ Campbell!

4 points from the last two away games sets us up nicely for 2 winnable home matches.

Was working so didnt even get to listen to much of it so looking forward to everyones reports/ratings. Im delighted with 4 points from the last 2 games.

Just mentioned on SSN weve only had 2 defeats in 17 games. Well done NP and the boys

Will take that, Coventry are putting together a decent side so a point gained I reckon. Should set us up nicely for 2 winnable home games coming up as well.

Edit: Just realised I've echoed the first post in its entireity.

A point was a fair return in the end.

Good to see the visiting contingent (the biggest away following so far for ANY league club this season) have something to celebrate.

Now let's follow it up after the break with wins against Derby and Palace.

just got home from the game (actually got home quicker than driving from the Walkers!)

Cant agree that Cov looked a good side - their front two (Best and Morrison) were pretty pedestrian - to be honest they were there for the taking today, but our game plan first half was poor - Fryatt and Kermo didnt look at all dangerous. Dyer was the only cutting edge first half. Second half, the introduction of Big Steve and the pace of Wag and DJ made all the difference and finally put Cov on the back foot. A draw was a fair result but a good Leicester side today would have beaten a very average Cov team. It was great to see so many City fans today and we did the players proud.

So the bottom line here is that we're no better than Cov

Im not being funny mate but you didnt create a chance all game, your goal was a brilliant 20 yard volley, we were comfortable at 1-0 under no pressure at all until Howard came on , he changed the game.

As for Morrison being pedestrian , yeah he was not involved hardly today that was due to him being out of position on the left hand side. But i thought Best lead the line very very well on his own up front, Brown and Hobbs who both played well won't come away from that game saying they had a comfortable afternoon. We missed some great chances in the first half that really should of been taken, on the whole though a point is fair, but for you to say that we were average is pretty contradictory as you didn't create a chance during the whole game.

By the way did your fans sing when it was 0-0/1-0 to us ?

Didn't Gallagher hit the bar before you scored?

By the way, attracting just 17k of your own fans, to a match you regard as your cup final, is pretty poor in this day and age..

Gallagher did hit the bar from a 20 yard drive, hardly a chance is it?

The last time we played you at the walkers the attendance was 22k? Your not our cup final

Birmingham>Villa>Leicester

Oh and you went a year unbeaten at home you played Pne at home the other week yet you only got 20,000 don't you think that is pretty poor ?

How can hitting the bar not be a chance?

you had 9 shots on target and we had 7 shots on target...

7 shots on target....thats hardly 'not creating a chance all game', is it?

i understand the idea of being biased.... but lol

Any Leicester fan that attended the game would admit that you hardly created anything, however on the whole pattern of the game you were worthy of a point.

I'll admit that, and i'd say you were the better side too. Looked far more likely to nick it than we did. But we did create a couple of chances.

If we hardly created anything yet were worthy of a point then that doesn't say much for Coventry's performance.

Cov and Leicester are both average Championship sides at this point in time.

Both top 10 sides, both cancelled each other out if i am being honest.

Why didn't N'guessen play ?

Draw a fair result I feel as we really had Coventry rattled after the three subs came on. DJ had a real chance to make himself a hero but took an extra touch when he should have hit it first time. Interesting to see that Nigel went straight to him after the final whistle and shook his hand.

Very little to choose between the two sides and we both look like comfortable mid-table teams.

Hopefully covlad won't show up later. He was making a complete arse of himself in a thread late last night. (which, it seems was deleted!)
