Was it? From where I was standing it looked like Howard flicked it on to Waghorn who slotted it in from the edge of the box. I could be wrong of course, but I was at the ground behind the goal so it seems a bit strange that I could've seen it so differently...

Gallagher has annoyed me previously, today he just damn right pissed me off. And no idea what he's doing for the handball that led to their goal. Thought Berner looked a bit poor today, for the first time this season imo. Seemed to get done easily. Brown had a bit of a shocker, hoofing was worse than ever whereas Jack Hobbs was quality, got himself under eveything that came his way. Think Yann did ok, just had nobody getting on his flick ons but he looks a clever player. I like him. But when Steve and Waggy came on they were like men possessed! The distance Steve covered just to flick the ball on for Waghorn to finish brilliantly stunned even me. And where did DJ come from?! Big fan of his first touch - spooned straight out of play. Highlights of the day - Coventry's elephant - what a guy. Plus Leon Best's fantastic effort early on. :laugh:

This in combination with the fact that they've closed that corner of their ground and put some advertising over the seats, presumably to make it seem fuller and less shit........ FAIL!

I stood up and started chanting, he grabbed me by my hood and yanked me down and told me to sit down! Told him to 'fook off' and moved up. Glad i was in a standing pocket towards the right hand side of block 11 then Stood up for the entire match except HT. Some guy behind fell down a row during the celebrations, i hope he's alright, he looked a bit shook up.

Corky Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Thought we were worthy of a point, great goal by "Wayne" Waghorn and even could've nicked it if Campbell had a bit more time to react from Dyer's pull back. Coventry were better in the first half, Weale making a good save and a superb free-kick, but Dyer had a shot over and Gallagher was unlucky with a curling effort against the woodwork. Brave, but very positive, decision to bring on three strikers at once but it paid off, with two of them combining for the goal. We're still a very good position going into this break, with two home matches coming up, I'm enjoying this season so far.

I've no idea what has brought about the reconciliation and don't really care. The subs changed the game massively, but don't think we were too bad before they came on. Could be good to see DJ back although he didn't see much of the ball. Kermo looked good, I'm growing to like him. Thought Hobbs was absolute quality in the air. Waggy and Steve .

I dont see cov as rivals, derby and forest are bigger. On the game, thought a point was a fair result although either side could of nicked it at the end.

I was embarrassed by their announcer "Welcome to everybody in the TESCO stand,etc" and then that ridiculous video, I expect things like that with massive world forces in football but not Coventry City. They are not worthy. On to the most important thing, the game of football, not a spectacular game and it was a hard earned point in the end. I thought the changes sprung some life into us because they did look a threat going forward, I actually think they're a decent team, Leon Best is a bully, I think he is a good player and that Sammy Cling-on is quality, great free kick too. Was pleasing to see us work hard for the point and it was a quality goal from Waghorn, Howard did change things as we finally had someone to win balls in the air. Why we persist with the long ball game when Howard is off the pitch is very annoying. Overall a fair result, also good to see DJ back.

I thought it was bloody brilliant at the time, fantastic how early he took it. Very rarely see Fryatt taking a shot on that early although that's obviously just his style. Ah well. Between Dyer's goal at Boro and Waghorn's today, we've had two brilliant away game goal celebrations and that's what it's all about for me. Loved that hit today, and his celebration too. Get in there Wag!
