Wednesday Post Match

Good performance today but we cant get carried away with beating a poor Wednesday team. The atmosphere was quite good from L1, especailly after the 3rd.

Howard was great in the 1st half and Wellens looked up fot it today, whilst Oakley and Morrison were great on the right side.

No complaints today at all, just pleased that 'blip' is over.

Interesting to see everyone gently easing themselves onto Wednesday fans' throbbing lengths because they decided to take the piss out of themselves and have a good sing even though they were getting battered. Quite few heads were deriding our fans' attempts to do the same thing at Forest last week as some sort of great insult.

All credit to the Shef Weds. fans who kept their spirits high... Loved the way they celebrated everytime they got a shot off

It was a much better performance from us, albeit against a team struggling for form this season. Alot more passing and movement down the wings...

agree 100%, same thing last week at forest "Are we derby in disguise?" "we're gonna win 6-5" etc and we're suddenly all dickheads.

Very pleased today, great to bounce back, good goals and a solid performance.

Have to say Wednesday fans were superb, celebrating wayward shots like they were goals, fantastic support.

Wish Fryatt would have cut back for King Hat trick instead of hitting the post but apart from that, a great 3 points.

Pleased today, we have finally beaten Sheffield Wednesday! Can't wait for college on Tuesday lol

On a real note, thought that we wasn't great but we were better than average.

Fryatt, Wellens, Oakley, King, Hobbs, Morrison, Howard all great.

McGiverns crossing is better than Berner's crossing I have to say.

Pleased that Howard got on the score sheet.

Not sure what Weale was doing, again!

Pleased overall. Next week will be a real test though.

I'm glad we finally beat Wednesday, although we didn't actually play that well.

The Wdnesday fans don't deserve the club they currently have. I hope they pull clear of the relegation spots and push on up the league.

This! Let's all wank over Wednesday.

Oakley and Morrison were the top men for me today.

We should start Morrison more often, and Oakley gave a solid captains performance after a lot of deserved stick recently. Played.

That's how it's done boys.

Good effort from everybody involved today, delighetd with the result. I had a good feeling before the game going in against a Wednesday side lacking in confidence, and I was proved right. They were dreadful in every department, making it far too easy for us.

Commendable effort from their supporters though, brilliant set of fans they've got there.

They could not sell the away end out though, Sheffield is not that far.

when they've lost 8 on the bounce are they really likely to travel in mass and sell out on one of only two remaining weekends in which to do christmas shopping, regardless of who they support?

Personally i thought Wednesday fans would have given us a better run for our money than their team.

Having said that we put in a good, professional performance ensuring we were unlikely to slip up.

Oakley and Howard looked like players reborn today while Wellens put in one of the best performances i've seen from him all season.

I felt Oakley was unlucky not to score today having brought a brilliant save out of the wednesday keeper and having a long ranger in the second half deflect just wide of the post.

Brilliant display from each of the players and the result and performance are just what we needed going into a difficult fixture next weekend.

No win in 9, 25 quid, 2 away games in a week! Would you take 2k?

Why slag off our support? we have the 4th highest average attendance in the league you made a lot of noise in your cup final but could not sell your allocation.

I doubt we'd sell our full allocation either if we had lost 8 or so on the trot. And 2k is not bad support.

Anyway, it's quality over quantity. And Wednesday have one of the best support around. Good club, exceptional fans, shame about their predicament. Hope they get out of the mess.

Well done Leicester lads and lasses. A thouroughly deserved victory for your boys today. Where we go from here I don't know. There is only positive at our club now and that's us the fans. The numbers we brought and the noise we made before Christmas and considering our recent form was fantastic. Proud of our support today. However let down yet again by the players. Roll on Saturday!

Where did he slag it off (He may have earlier in the thread as I havn't read the whole thread, but in the post you quoted he'd certainly not slagged it off), besides even if he had slagged it off he'd be correct, also what made this their "Cup Final" surely that would be v Sheff Utd?

Fair play to their support, I stormed out early and was pissed off big time on Tuesday - After our 2nd loss in a row, I'd struggle to have as much fun as they looked like they were having if we were in Sheff Wednesday position. That doesn't just say something about me, It says alot about our support because there would be people who take it alot worse than me.

Two words - Ricoh Arena.

But on the other hand I suppose you have got to have fans in the stadium to make any atmosphere.

Cheers. You always travel in numbers and are a genuinely good bunch of fans. I hope you can pull clear of the relegation zone because as I said previously, your club don't deserve you. I always thought Brian Laws was a decent manager but I guess not. What is the general feeling surrounding the problems on the pitch. Is the blame thrown at the manager, players, board, or all of them?

Good result.

Very average performance against a poor Wednesday side.

Why is the atmosphere so poor at the Walkers when we are winning? It was terrible today with the Wednesday fans out singing city for most of the game.

NP needs to be given some serious cash in Jan for us to challenge for a top 6 finish.

For gods sake I was only trying to wind him up dont be so serious they are bloody tiny compared to Leeds anyway.
