Nick Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 I think Vettel will walk the Drivers Championship this year. And Red Bull the constructors too.
Brainy Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 I think so too but only if their car doesn't keep breaking.
Nick Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 I think so too but only if their car doesn't keep breaking. Yup, reliability could be a burden on them but I think it has been isolated issues in the first couple of races. Thinking about it, it will be closer though this year as the points are much tighter and easier to get in a way. I could see somebody collecting 3rd place week in week out winning it too.
Asha Posted 6 April 2010 Author Posted 6 April 2010 Ferrari 1 Team Britain 2 i'd say. Remind me again where the Ferrari boys are in the drivers championship? And in the constructors?
Brainy Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Remind me again where the Ferrari boys are in the drivers championship? And in the constructors? Pretty much the same place they were when you seemed to accept that it was 1-1 after Melbourne.
Asha Posted 6 April 2010 Author Posted 6 April 2010 Pretty much the same place they were when you seemed to accept that it was 1-1 after Melbourne. I was basing that on race victories.
Brainy Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 alright, I kinda based it on who got more points from the weekend so.
AjcW Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Unless its Red Bull im not interested . Gutted i couldn't change my flight for the malaysian gp but it made for some good tv. I still think its going to be one of the best seasons to date. Also its nice to see a team like force india sneaking into the top ten.
isaidno Posted 12 April 2010 Posted 12 April 2010 Had a fantastic time at the Malaysian GP. Met Hamilton, Button, Vettel, Webber, Kubica, Petrov, Barichello, & Hulkenberg. Lewis Hamilton is not how he appears on TV. He's a really nice guy. He was the only one of the drivers we met to take the time to talk to us. He seemed overwhelmed that we had come from England to support him. Got a bit of Ferrari / Mclaren rivalry started in the stand on race day. The brits were supporting Mclaren & the locals Ferrari. It was fantastic when Alonso blew up in front of us
Uncle Monty Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Has anyone else seen the Buemi crash in practice? Both his wheels just flew off, crazy!
Wycombe Fox Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Has anyone else seen the Buemi crash in practice? Both his wheels just flew off, crazy! I've just seen it. I'd be very worried if I was in the other Torro Rosso. Both wheels just flew off under the stress of braking - I've not seen that before. Design or component fault or both? Alonso's in a spot of bother with his engines. I wonder if his driving style is suited to the engine. I remember a few seasons back when Raikonnen went to McLaren and he seemed to break the car quite a few times whereas his team-mate's car was fine.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 That crash was bizzare! It seemed to be the moment he put the brakes on, the suspension or something just shattered! Imagaane being in the cockpit of that car and your front wheels just come off. Harsh . Crash Link.
Uncle Monty Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 It was almost as if he had a dual wheel ejector button.
Asha Posted 16 April 2010 Author Posted 16 April 2010 Early start tomorrow then. G'won Felipe Baby. Massa 1st, Alonso 2nd and Kubica 3rd would suit me this weekend.
fatmando Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Another brilliant drive from Button. I must concede he did really well. I have never rated him until recently. Nice to see to British flags 1st and 2nd. No pole sitter has won in all 4 races! - good stuff.
sdb Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 could someone give me a race-rating out of 10 please?? I may watch it later if it was a good'un. xx
FoxyPV Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Fully deserved - made all the right calls at the right times. Hamilton was throwing his toys out of the pram as he was told to hold back and not go after Button
Asha Posted 18 April 2010 Author Posted 18 April 2010 Fantastic 4th place for Alonso - having stopped 5 times. Was as blatant a jump start as you'll ever see No chance of getting away with that one. Thought it was lucky he only got given a drive through penalty rather than a stop and go, allowed him to stay in contention. Expect to see Hamilton and Button bumped back 5 places on the grid at Catalunya for their own illegal conduct.

Are you referring to Hamilton not challenging Button - they can say that's tyres etc I very much doubt they'll get penalised as it did not alter the outcome for any other teams in any significant way.

No, not at all. I fully understood that. I'm referring to separate incidents. Hamilton's being when his team released him more or less on top of Vettel, which could have created a very dangerous situation had they made contact. And Button slowing the field down under the safety car to virtually a stop at the hairpin meaning those behind were really struggling to avoid crashing as they were all packed in the same part of the corner.
