Solano, experience and Gradel Tapped

I think the signing of Norberto Solano is a good aquisition to the squad and think that he will bring a lot of experience and quality of ball delivery in the side. His experience will be useful and according to sources he is very fit and good player on the training ground and will lead on the pitch. I have always liked Solano a good proffessional, I was listening to radio other day and he is the proud owner of the most subbed player in Premiership history. He also scores great goals, the age doesnt put me off as we had Ferdinand in his prime years and he played well for us. I would rather now we are in top 7 get an old head to help us, and who knows he may be ambitious to want a contract next season, well done Nigel good signing. Does anyone know if he will play at Cardiff?

Max Gradel on the other hand, putting in a transfer request I would suggest during his loan spell he has been well and truely tapped up, we gambled sending him to Leeds for match practice its back fired on us and now we will lose him. Round pegs in round holes he should have been a starter down the right, I think the manager doesnt fancy him, and has long not been part of his plans. Disapointed to see him go, but loaning players to reasonable sized clubs can cause problems especiallly when players feel secluded. Anyone know the fee? I hope Milan allows Nigel the money from his sale and now I think is time to ship out Dickov and Campbell on permanent moves and allow the manager to perhaps bring in 3 more players to spur on the playoff assault.

I would like to see Taylor come in, hopefully Marcus Bent and then maybe another experienced player to help push us, experience will be the key to Leicester Citys season. I am not a Nielson fan nor do I like Oakley on the wing, we need to get back to basics, maybe I think Howards days are now numbered send him out to another club, and replace with Bent. Kermogrant will be ready next year and settled. Wellens in the middle with King or Oakley. Does anyone know if Clemence is fit yet?

According to Ian Stringer, he's not likely to play this season.

Fair point, but I am sure he would have got back in the side here at Leicester, Gallagher not a right winger a striker, Oakley centre Mid not a winger, then again i suppose he may have looked from afar and thought sod that he would rather play others out of position than give him a run

Or, maybe, just maybe, Gradel has enjoyed actually being on a football pitch, be it off the bench or not?

Big Nige has quoted as saying that it wasnt as if Maxi was playing every minute of every game up there!!

isn't it enough that this has been debated to death in the respective Solano and Gradel threads.?

the solano decision will be vindicated or not when he plays....

none of us know what gradel's motivations were...

let's keep this debate where it belongs.

This is getting beyond a Joke now with this guy, been out for a season and a half now can`t afford to have someone earning wages and being out for as long as he has. Mandaric needs to to have a word and offer terms of ending his contract by mutual consent! lets get someone else in to replace him, not enough competition in the centre of our midfield.

Could not agree more.

Don't think we pay his wages while he is injured, insurance?

But we spent a lot of money for him and only got about 6 months of football out of him if i remember correctly.

Gradel was more than likely forced to put in a transfer request, so City avoided a loyalty bonus.

Didn't know there was such thing as a loyalty bonus. How does that work then?

I agree I think he was told to do the request, some think I am up MM's backside but that is not the case. It seems clear to me the gradel sale was forced onto pearson.

I am also a bit dubious about the incoming player policy, I heard that we had the option to sign davies last year for 400k but milan wouldnt pay it if that is true then its a sign he isnt always backing his manager.

no we had a bid accepted for Davies but then Bolton came in for him

I think that if a player doesn't ask for a transfer he's entitled to 5% of the fee.

Unsubstantiated bollocks.
