Clarkielcfc Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 were they there??? didnt hear them once! shocking support for the amount of them best atmosphere at the walkers by us for a long long time
Ozwin Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 They were **** for the amount of them there were. They got into it towards the end but for the most part it was pretty quiet over there. Never thought I'd see the day when Leicester fans (at home) would be singing 'Shall we sing a song for you' to the Newcastle lot. Madness.
dandannieldanok Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 As bad as Cov's travelling away support and that's saying something. Most of them were pissed on the way to the ground, maybe explains their lack of engagement.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 They were noisey for about 10minutes, then died a death! Good to see their Reception for Solano. The banter when their coaches rolled in was class. Some bloke flopped his genetalia out at us, and being called willy puller's by Geordie's is hilarious.
jonthefox Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 I think they were just waiting for the goal melee to start. When it never came, they didnt have a plan b. Good to see them acknowledge nobby mind.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 It was our positive, get stuck in attitude that shut them up. They started out pretty loud but as soon as we started to get stuck in and then we all picked up, they just shrank down into their seats. Great effort from our crowd today, was a very good atmosphere and it must have helped the team on!
davieG Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Well I think that proves beyond doubt that a team gets the support they deserve and earn. It was obvious that the Leicester fans stepped upto the mark when they could see quite clearly that the team actually gave a fook.
Tommeh Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Pretty much the usual Geordie stereotyped support on show. All stood, all decked out in shirts but a very small songbook and a few topless idiots bouncing around like melons. Thought we were very good. Linked to alot more standing in the Kop possibly? Was great to see a good 3/400 stood across the back rows and throughout SK1 and a couple of thousand others up and down throughout.
Rich Fox Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Geordies were maybe a bit quiet but we made them quiet with good vocal support and a great attendance. This shows the atmosphere can be good at the walkers if more people sing.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 I was very disappointed with Newcastles away following today, I was exoecting a great atmosphere with loads of noise from both fans, but was very much wrong. All they did chant is 'we are top of the league'.

The banter when their coaches rolled in was class. Some bloke flopped his genetalia out at us, and being called willy puller's by Geordie's is hilarious. What is it with Geordies and getting their dicks out? I remain scarred for life after a peculiar experience back at Filbo years ago when I was "threatened" by teenage Toon fans on the way to the ground who thought waving their tackle and threatening to piss on my shoes was going to get them my match ticket. And the <ahem> nobs who somehow got into the sponsors box behind SK4 responded to the Kop giving them some abuse by undoing their jeans. Huh? What is that all about? Excellent atmosphere in SK3 today - some people in the second half standing even in front of us. Usually I've got a clear view over all their heads. I think it's true that the team got the crowd they deserved today, but also, the crowd got the performance we deserved too. Great stuff all round.
Jimmy Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 50 years and you've won fuck all seemed to shut them up too
lou Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 50 years and you've won fuck all seemed to shut them up too loved that chant... and What the fecking hell are seats!
markbsac Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 they caused a bloody mess in loughborough at dinner time...so that explains why they were all pissed going to the ground...w*****s
Dobson25 Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 If we made so much noise then maybe we just cudnt hear them but they are prob best fans in country and fair play for thm selling out away end every game. And I've nevr heared a reception tht good that a opposing player ever before

C-man Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 Can't really look too much in to it. Not many sets of fans make loads of noise when they're watching absolute shit. At least they didn't boo like some of our morons did at Barnsley. You know what you're going to get with Geordies - great numbers, decent football knowledge, loads of shirters, 100% standing.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 Brilliant Effort everyone !! Best atmosphere ive seen at the walkers i think !! Why cant we always be like that
Koke Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 You know what you're going to get with Geordies - great numbers, decent football knowledge, loads of shirters, 100% standing. Pretty much. Quite difficult to make much noise when you are watching your team play shit against 10 men for 60 or so minutes. And it's also hard to get excited over watching Alan Smith [joke] and Nicky Butt [shit] in your midfield. And who in their right mind gave Andy Carroll a professional contract. Decent support, great in numbers, 100% standing and having a laugh. Can't knock Newcastle's support.
Fosse Boy Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 a few topless idiots bouncing around like melons. Like my mate then. loved that chant... and What the fecking hell are seats! It's pronoonced "seeeeeeeeeeeeeeets". My mate said it was cracking banter in the away concourse at half time. Everyone smoking, singing, bouncing, tossing beer around. He reckoned our stewards were some of the best he's ever come across too.
Matt Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 Am I wrong in thinking I heard "Town full of...."? I could have sworn I heard that chant go off, but no-ones mentioned it in this thread yet so must be wrong.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 50 years and you've won f**k all and What the f**king hell are seeeeeets? were definite highlights of what was a fantastic atmosphere in L1 yesterday. I was expecting a loud and proud away following and ended up quite disappointed by them really. The nonsensical 'empty seeeeets' song was the best they could manage, strange when there's the thick end of 30k in the ground.
Jay Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 They were rubbish really the famous Toon Army eh... they got nothing on the likes of Sheff Wednesday, Huddersfield and so on who are constantly loud for 90mins
NewquayFox Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 A bit like the Cardiff Fans last week, didnt really hear them until the 2nd minute of injury time, nice Stadium crap fans, and me and my Lad spotted Pritchard wandering around the ground before the game with his Missus. ;0)
