Look at the people we've actually banned. Persistent spammers, bots and those making extremely racist or bigoted posts are amongst the only people that have ever been permanently banned.

While I appreciate my bias, posters like Ashlcfc and Radovan's Caravan contribute far less than Daggers and use FT far more just to troll, Ultra (the next Lord Mayor of Leicester, by the way) has probably handed out far more genuinely threatening abuse and people like Father Ted and Uncle Monty probably annoy far more of the users here.

Daggers might be controversial and plenty of people might "widely see him as a cunt" but given some of the stuff people HAVEN'T been banned for I don't really don't think Dave should have gone by now.

I'm like that too. I put someone on ignore once, nuneatonfox or something like that, and then everytime I saw one of his post I clicked show post, making ignoring pointless.

I am usually quite shit at blocking people. At one point it was as long as my arm but I just couldn't resist clicking on Show Post for half of them. I think I only have about 4 or 5 posters on Ignore now, and they're the ones who I know will never post anything of any substance so I can't be fagged with the curiosity.

You're right Daggers is a great contributor to this forum and he's had me in stitches with many a post, but at times I think he may have gone over the top and say if Shingler had have said something similar to the "threatening abuse" that Daggers had, he'd have been banned.

You obviously think different and so do the rest of the mods et al. I just think Matt's an easy target for some people when in my eyes, I think he's a decent poster.

I've no problem with Daggers, but he's taken some cheap digs at people when it really wasn't necessary. One could say he could and should have just ignored these people, however idiotic Daggers, you, me or anyone else found those people's remarks. The 'ignore' argument really goes both ways...
