Ive just got back from todays game and i have to say that was one of the worst performances ive seen from city in a long long time...

Drop Brown! Drop Oakley! Drop King! Drop Dyer!

All rubbish today and for me havent been impressed for the last few weeks ! Especially Oakley , he brings nothing to the team, loses the ball ALOT and isnt the best going forawrd or defensivly!

Give Nguessen and adams a chance !!

Brown was also VERY poor and fustrating, he thinks he can ping a ball like becks! but he CANT ! Very poor ditribution today and also crap defensively!

For me defo drop Brown and Oakley !!

Rant over! Cardiff 3 points please :)

Who are you going to play instead of Brown you mug?! He had a bad day today but has been cracking in a few games recently.

Dyer?! Wasn't even one of the worst today by a long shot, definitely wouldn't single him out. Made a couple of mistakes but contributed a lot more than others.

King?! Die.

Why don't you just suggest dropping the job lot?

I mean, come on, we're 5th in the league, comfortably above the chasing pack. It's only a matter of winning home games that will see us in the playoff positions at the end of the season.

But of course, we're terrible, we should be aiming for the top two. Yes, you're right, drop all the players who have a crap game from time to time, that will do the world of good.

While you're at it, suggest to MM who we should bring into the club on emergency loan deals before the rot really begins to set in. You could also suggest who we ought to put on the transfer market now so that they're in the shop window well before it opens again.

We can't expect to steamroller teams at the foot of the table. It won't happen. I don't expect it to happen. Get over it.

Rant over.

Drop Brown and play Morrison or Bruce centre half!

King is a steady eddie, like a crab though, sidwards sidewards and sidewards!

Dyer!! I loved that bit when Morrison gave him the ball and rolled under his leg for a throwing, a okay performance!

I cant see why you lot are defending them for todays performance?!?!?

Why shouldnt we be steamrolling teams that are at the bottom of the league?? If were aiming to be a premiership club next season we should be pissing all over these teams!

Newcastle didn't manage it when they played at Sheffield Wed and one could argue they have a premiership quality squad now as it is.

Aiming to become a premiership club does not give you a right to own teams at the bottom of this league. We're not good enough to own teams in this league. Mostly we win by the odd goal and through our ability to become hard to play against and break down. Every game is a challenge and we must get right at the opposition if we hope to get anything from games.

Today we didn't do that and up against a team scrapping for every single point at the bottom of the table we got exactly what we deserved.

Home form is the key to securing a top 6 finish and getting 3 points from each of the games against Cardiff, Coventry and M'boro will go a long way to achieving that goal.

It just frustrates me so much, going places like Wednesday and getting rolled! I know were better than that!

Honestly suprises me how fickle people are sometimes.

In case you forgot, WE GOT PROMOTED LAST SEASON!

Peterborough came up with us and look where they are, I like to use them as a bit of a reality check, it could be so different. We're overachieving and like Legend_in_blue says, we shouldn't be 'owning teams' at all, we'd be the Sheffield Wednesday of this league if it finished the way people expected it to.

And perhaps that mentality is the same as the players mentality just expecting to roll them over because it's only Sheffield Wednesday...

...Who are we, a newly promoted team to this league to 'go to places like Wednesday' and expect a win? Yes we're 5th, but who are we to disrespect them and expect to turn up and win?

It just shows how stupid this league is when we can play brilliant against Newcastle, Forest, and the teams at the top of the league and then go to teams struggling at the bottom of league (Who only have to put a run of 2 or 3 wins together and they'll be fighting up the top of the league) and play poor and lose.

Dyer was good in the first half but slowly faded. Brown was absolute shit today, as was Hobbs though, but Browns attempts to pass a ball ten yards have become laughable.

Gallagher for me is the one who should be dropped first (for N'Guessan). He did nothing again today and hasnt really done much since the Scunny game. He seems to get the ball and lose it almost straight away.

I struggle to imagine how these people lived through the dark relegation battle seasons and ultimately the relegation season, they must have been on suicide watch surly?

Why are we even bothering arguing with this fool.

I've seen enough from Pearson to know that he doesn't need me or anyone else telling him when to drop players.

Brown isn't Pele but find me a ball-playing centre back in this division. Most of them are big bastards who struggle to put one foot in front of the other. Kingy does go sideways but I seem to remember players like Steve Thompson & Garry Parker doing most of their best work with simple balls to the nearest blue shirt whilst chipping in with the odd goal.

The players you list may have been unimpressive over those few games but they're also the same ones that have helped get us back up to fifth, go 8 games unbeaten and pick up a MOM award for Pearson in the process. Losing to Wednesday at Hillsborough, no matter where they are in the table, really isn't the worst result. If we lose the next two or three fair enough, ask questions but it's one bad game, and one game doesn't make a bad team.

Brown can't pass, apart from that he's a good defender.

Oakley should be dropped for a while.

King is fine.

Dyer's been one of our best players lately, fully deserves his place in the side.

DOOM! DOOM! DOOM!

I didnt particularly enjoy the game either... but:

Yeah take out brown .. Bruce has played 1 full game this season (against us) and was rubbish... not sure he would be any better than Brown.. so move morrison to CB and bring back Nielsen at RB. that will get us promotion. lol. Brown had a bad game... but we were 8 games undefeated before and were playing against a team that are fighting for their lives... and we were away from home.

We are not defending them after todays performance we are just being realistic.

You mean the way WBA pee'd all over QPR? Take a reality check.

Man Utd are proper failures, They couldn't even beat Leeds, A League One team, and Man Utd are aiming for the Premier League and Champions League? :nono:

We can't win every game

BUT

If we're to finish in the play offs we've got to get results at out of form shit teams at the bottom of the table.

Make no mistake at the start of the season I would have taken top 12 but expectations have been raised. I don't think it's unacceptable for people to be upset at a meek defeat given recent results....

Posted

I know you don't pick and choose your results but in the coming fixtures off the top of my head we have Cardiff twice and Covscum who are arguably breathing down our necks, as I said you don't pick and choose your results and we may go on and lose to Cardiff/Covscum, but given a choice i'd rather lose to teams who are down the lower end of the table and beat the teams around us, look at it that way.

If/when (:fc:) we beat Cardiff next week today's result will be forgotten, today is disappointing, it does seem a setback but we've had this feeling a few times this season and then the following week all has been sorted and the setbacks have been forgotten.

I would dispute that... I think anyone would be a fool to think that with the coming games and our complete lack of consistency that we were comfortable in this position.

However you're spot on with everything else... not that we should be dropping players and loaning players as obviously that's in relation to the original post but that we shouldn't be expected to steamroll teams.
