Getting worried now

Recommended Posts

A mate at work is a Derby ST holder and he tells me that the way they're playing at the moment they'll be lucky to get 0 on Saturday. I even asked him if they had a pacy right sided player to make McGivern wet himself and apparently they've been using gangly Nicky Hunt there because of a lack of options.

Even if we lose three games, and I don't think we'll lose all of our next three, the likes of Blackpool & Sheff U would have to win all three just to get ahead of us. The pair of them have struggled to put two wins together all season.

Lighten up, and think where you'd like to be sitting in the Play Off Final.

I agree that these next three games are very hard, but we really have to remain optimistic, we are still 7 points clear after all .

If we go and win at Derby then get a point out of the next couple vs Cardiff and WBA most people would probably take that. Knowing us though we will win at those three then lose at Posh and home to Watford!

Only 8 games left!!! COME ON!!! :scarf:

Get a grip people... look at the teams below us. Now look at their form. Now look at ours. Now remind yourselves that we've only lost twice in 12 and that we're still 7 points clear of 7th with a game in hand!

The play-offs is here for us to take and I've no doubt in the team that come Saturday we'll turn this form around and then push on from there! :)

COME ON CITY!!! :D:scarf:

I'm terribly concerned by events. Somebody is going to knock a tooth out with all these knee-jerk reactions going on around here.

I wouldn't worry about it if wee get nothing from the next three

You must be bloody joking, or barking mad!

That would mean we lost four games on the trot, and get overtaken by other sides. Just as importantly, what do you think that would do for the player's moral?

We need around three wins and we are play off contenders.

So, we can beat Derby, Peterborough and Watford. Or, just win 2 draw 3. We can do it!

Can we still be relegated?

Mathmatically yes Peterborough, Plymouth cannot catch us,but Palace can still get 63 points.

Realistically not a chance.

Only in your pessimistic anti-Leicester world would that happen.

I think this is a over reaction, however I must admit, if we get hammered by Derby I will maybe stop being so sure of a play off place. We are not there yet. We don't want to leave it 'til the last minute.

Whilst i agree its mildly concerning that we've only got a point out of the last possible six lets tryand put it into context....

Cov were shit in the first half we were shit in the second..... on the balance of play a draw was a fair result?

We got beat by a last minute penalty in the Reading game..... WTF!!!!

If we had took two points out of a local derby and away game no-one would have any complaints, were seven points clear that means the chasing pack need effectively three wins to overtake us, where we lose three games.... we'll be fine it wouldn't be Leicester City if there wasn't a wobble or two before things pan out!

Alternitivly.....

Sack pearson employ holloway/taylor, execute solano, take mcgiven into the woods and leave him and sell oakley to forest.

playoffs easy 4th spot easy i still think we are sitting pritty bring on the forest in final in the words of the great micky adams

Like someone else has already stated in this thread, panicking now is only understandable in relative terms: compared to the teams around us, yes, we could be slipping out of the playoff picture, which would be disappointing.

However, look at the progress made within one single season and tell me you were expecting us to push for a second consecutive promotion in the football league.

Yes, losing to Reading was harsh, but we're bound to lose games, anyway, lol and it's very rare to maintain such a long unbeaten home record like we did (wasn't it twelve games without a loss prior to the Reading fixture?).

Let's look forward, still a game in hand, Derby away (which we should beat), still everything to play for.

Should we get to Wembley, would all moaners please do me a favour and jump off a nearby bridge (it may not cost your live, but at least give you a good bump on the head).

3 wins and a draw from the remaining games for me. That'll do. My heart pounds just thinking about it. It's boro' and Reading for me, they need to be stopped, and soon!

I seem to recall a similar overreaction towards the end of last season. We had a couple of unconvincing displays and all of a sudden we were gonna drop into the Play Off places (and lose the play offs of course) and Peterboro were going to storm past us and win the league. (or summat like that!)

We've never had a majorly bad run under Nige and we're not about to start, he ain't gonna let it happen.

3 points against the sheep today and all will be rosy once more.

Squeeky bum time. Last week I thought we'd turn it into a 10 point lead, now its 4. It's still in our own hands tho.

It's within our grasp. We need to back Nigel and the boys more than ever now - booing just isn't conducive to anything we want to achieve.

4 points is still good but confidence is dropping, our next 2 games are about as hard as it gets and if we fall out the top 6 it's gonna be a real test to get back in. 2 late goals and a goalkeeping cock up of the highest order, all in a week. no' good.

Can i scrap my last comment and jump on the 'were getting relegated' band wagon...

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL TODAY..... and whilst i'd trust NP with my newborn, team selection today was..... different???

This is such a non-entity. We are inconsistent, just like everyone else

Swansea - for all their sideway passings they are pretty toothless up front. Relying on Kuqi to get you goals is an insult to humanity. At least we have goal scores in our side.

Blackpool - hit and miss. Decent one day, gash the next. Inconsistent. Plus they got Newcastle and Forest to play as well.

Sheff Utd - See Blackpool

Middlesbrough - Left it too late. Again, hit and miss. Too inconsistent to to string 6 good results together

Reading - only team I fear currently. But there is no way they can continue and keep up this exceptional form going into the play-offs.
