Walshy5 Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Does anyone share this opinion or im i the only one?
Dylan Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 I honestly don't know how Ryan McGivern is a professional footballer, and am futher bemused on why Man City have him
whitlock Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 McGivern isn't Roberto Carlos or Patrice Evra. He is a young player on loan, trying to learn his trade. We dont have world class players, the reason why we're in the championship. McGivern is doing what he can, he isn't no Bruno Berner, but Ryan will do well having Bruno as his mentor, the lad will only improve. Nothing is going to help him by a select few morons moanin at hime after the first 5 mins of the game. Redic thread.

whitlock Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Think he shows promise then??? Im not saying i think he is going to be the best left back in the world at all. Just people throwin the blame on him, purely un fair, its also unfair that he is under study to Bruno, maybe if we had Maybury as left back and McGivern slotted in, people might not be too harsh? Personally i dont think he's THAT bad as people make out, support the lads!!

Hope he proves me wrong but i just dont see any potential in him to get better what so ever. He get skinned everytime someone tries to take him on and it shits me up completely. He cant even do the basics. Step forward chris powell
StanSP Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Wish people would actually lay off him. Being booed in the first few minutes of a game, and probably hearing the groans before a match even starts isn't exactly gonna make him the most confident player on the pitch. Majority of you who belittle him probably wouldn't last 10 minutes on a football pitch.
The Doctor Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 i think whitlock has got the right end of the stick here. McGivern is still young, has minimal first team match experience (here and a couple of games at morcambe) and tbh looks like a centre back trying to do a job in a position he is unfamilar with. he can only benefit in the long term from having Powell & Berner there to help him but thats also caused him to come in for some critism because he's not up to their standard. Just lay off and get behind the team.

Daggers Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Geez how long is this hatefest going to run? For as long as Morrisons keep running the Five Morons For The Price Of One offer. We appear to be over-run at the moment, someone call the Twat Catcher.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Right, Yes hes not the best but hes only 20 doing his best. Poor lads got a few thousand people getting at him. How'd you feel ? encourage the lad. I want a chant in support of him at Derby, I feel embarrassed by the **** idiots that boo him.

Bang on, but have you seen the state of the common football supporter, mis-shapen head, generally ugly, crap clothes, sometimes no eye brows, spots on their necks and greasy forehands, gelled hair with little twisted bits of fringe. The intelligence level is way below zero, so you can forget about them having any empathy or common sense
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Lets have it then, The Mcgivern chant in suppory of him. Gotta make it sound like it aint takin the piddle

Gotta make it sound like it aint takin the piddle A silent tribute would be more effective. I think everyone should bleach their hair blonde in his honour. Everyone get down to boots tomorrow for a box of B-Blonde. Saw it today when I was picking up my pile cream, only a 5er
Karljohn Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Me and the Missus have never boo'd the lad, I don't rate him on what I have seen so far but he cannot be compared to Neilson on the basis that he's had 10 years in the game (albeit non league with Hearts) and McGiverns had 10 matches. I thought he was poor last night for the first hour and then got to grips with Kebe, the first goal looked really bad on his part but there's no point in battering him with boos, he'll just end up making more and more mistakes. I think if he had some help with positional sense it would help his game considerably, he doesnt stop the cross because he's in no mans land, dunno whether the lad just switches off or what. I blame the cvnt mattock anyway for dropping us in the brown stuff at left back, so its not your fault Ryan...

Koke Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Sorry, but as bad as McGivern is he is still better than Neilson. No question. Especially considering Neilson has had 10+ years in the game whereas McGivern has been a pro for 5 minutes.
Edmund Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Wish people would actually lay off him. Being booed in the first few minutes of a game, and probably hearing the groans before a match even starts isn't exactly gonna make him the most confident player on the pitch. Spot on. If we make the play offs and Berner is injured, we hardly stand a chance if our fans aren't getting behind him before a ball has even been kicked.
Salieri Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Geez how long is this hatefest going to run? Until Neilson gets a recall i guess? Seems some fans can't function unless they have a whipping boy to vent their spleens at, regardless of how well we are performing as a team.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Rip me to pieces if you like. He's shocking. Surely Chrissy Powell would be a better leftback, and he's about 30 years older than McGivern.

Yeah i agree, Mcgivern is one of the shittest footballers i've ever seen. He will end up in the non league thats for sure. Alan Rogers or John Curtis i would rather have playing then this pathetic excuse for a left back. I'm going to keep booing him and jeering him untill he's fook off back to Man City. Also to that disabled who said non of us couldn't do better, well we're not pro footballers are we ? I'm sure he's really not bother what our fans think of him because he's not our player. I hope the booing shall remain, always good to have a boo boy. Its healthy and a good part of football.
