Dylan Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Peterborough have been relegated from the division so they've got nothing to play for- could go against us. They've appointed Gary Johnson as manager today, so they'll all want to perform well for their place in the team. Their last game was at Barnsley, and they drew 2-2- their 1st point in 6 games. Our last game was an emphatic 4-0 victory against QPR. We need to win IMO- hopefully Newcastle will beat Blackpool so we should be looking to open up a 4 point lead . Surely Pearson won't change the side from Monday, same team lineup for me. This season, we have only beaten 2 of the bottom half of the table away (still to play Pboro and Preston), and they were against Palace (who would be doing decent if it weren't for a pts deduction) and QPR (who were doing well when we played them away), so we need to be killing the lower teams in the league off more effectively. Peterborough have lost their last 3 at home. Their record at home this season- P21 W6 D5 L10 Hopefully we come home with the 3 points! My prediction- Peterborough 0-2 Leicester (Waghorn, Howard) Come on City!
maddog Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Warner, Gilbert, Kisnorbo, Hobbs, Mattock, Gradel, Berner, Oakley, Dyer, Fryatt, Dickov. Such is the enormity of our epic improvement under NP, only 5 of last years starting line up at Peterborough remain at the club. Fryatt won't be playing, Oakley may still be out the side, Dyer may not start so potentially only 2 of last years starting line up at London Road will start this time round. And this was a side that contributed to a League One title winning season, yet still we take big strides forward, make a lot more changes and improve even more, which is the reason why we have been sitting in the playoff places for nearly the whole season. Peterborough were promoted with us, and the side that comfortably beat us 2-0 last season here, are already relegated this time around. How things have changed so quickly for both clubs since then. This time it's a managerial merry go round for Peterborough, and stability at LCFC. Gilbert, the man so many of us wanted here pre-season, is now in a Peterborough shirt, and we certainly wouldn't trade Mighty Morrison for anyone, i'm sure Kerrea will get some applause from the City faithful. This could be the last time we visit the terrace there in a League game, it certainly had a special atmosphere last season, lets hope the performance and result match it. Ian Holloway and Dj Campbell may not let up, so once again a win here is critical, but with the Tangerines travelling to newly promoted Newcastle who are unstoppable at home, surely they will lose and give us a chance of a 4 point cushion with just 3 games left. Posh will be playing for pride though, will be seriously going for it and the new manager effect may kick in, Gary Johnson is certainly no mug. Lets hope our players won't deliver another complacent performance, we really really need a win. With Swansea travelling to Bristol City also it could be a very profitable weekend for City. I expect the same team to be named, Steve Howard was the crucial player missing from our visit in League One, Dickov, Fryatt and Hayles fell flat, and the man who managed to score a header Monday, will be the man to claim the match ball Saturday. 3-1 Leicester, Howard hat trick and i will be tucking into my own shit  :locked:  Ey up i think i was posting this at the same time Dylan was posting his

DarkTranquillity Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 4-1 City. Waghorn with another brace, Howard and Hobbs with his first of the season. Come on City, lets get this done!!!!
Mee Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 3-0 City also. Waghorn, King, Howard. I can see it being tough though for the first 20 odd minutes. Posh will be fighting for some pride so they won't go down without giving us a good fight. I think we will get that all important first goal and then dominate from there. Come on City
Brainy Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 I always get some strange vision that Dylan is Maddog's son. and is the brother of Fox92.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Que the : My Garden shed is bigger than this, its got a door and 2 windows, my garden shed is bigger than this ! Always good to hear.
Dylan Posted 6 April 2010 Author Posted 6 April 2010 A mod can delete or merge this one then, not too bothered.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Narrow win for Leicester but this will be a tougher game than the league table suggests. We have better players though throughout the team and we need the win more than they do so there are no excuses. 0-1.
Tommeh Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Hoping this will be one of those Barnsley away style ties we always seem to get at the end of seasons, terrific atmosphere, great weather and a 1-0 win.
Dylan Posted 6 April 2010 Author Posted 6 April 2010 Hoping this will be one of those Barnsley away style ties we always seem to get at the end of seasons, terrific atmosphere, great weather and a 1-0 win. Didn't we lose to Barnsley away?
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Didn't we lose to Barnsley away? He means the 2007 and 2008 visits. Quality day out in 2008. Genuinely thought we could be saved after that match.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 People will probably expect a walk over, but it wont be easy. But one thing they cant seem to do is keep clean sheets so I think if we can score early we can get two or three. They lack the pace up front they previosuly had with CMS and McClean with the latter injured and CMS always on the bench. Need to watch out for Dickinson he is a good player. 3-1 to us. Really want to win this!
tewkesbury-fox Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Intresting stat we havent won at the posh since 1964 in the cup.... With Blackpool at Newcastle this is game on paper we should win but im going for a draw
iancognito Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Cliche as it is, Posh is never an easy game. They're always up for it and give us a good game partly due to a good number of their chavvy pock-marked virgins seeing it as being their cup final. 2-1 win, one for Kingy, equalizer by that Mackail Smith bloke & a late headed winner by Morrison to spark joyous scenes in the away end

mr whippy Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 2-0 Leicester win. Wellens to net a screamer and Howard to kill the game off.
FoxyPV Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 think this will be a tough one 1 -0 win for us (if we are lucky 2-0)
Corky Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 These games are always tough, need a far better performance than last season. 1-2 (King and Waghorn).
dimmerchant Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 May seem odd but I'd take Gilbert, Kisnorbo and Mattock back in a second. Gilbert > Neilson Kisnorbo > Brown Mattock > McGivern Just my opinion anyway.
Bugg Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 May seem odd but I'd take Gilbert, Kisnorbo and Mattock back in a second. Gilbert > Neilson Kisnorbo > Brown Mattock > McGivern Just my opinion anyway. Not being hostile or anything, but what has that got to do with Peterborough away.
CosbehFox Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Not being hostile or anything, but what has that got to do with Peterborough away. Look at the opening post. If we want to be picky, Neilson and McGivern are second choice. Morrison and Berner have performed better than either Gilbert or Mattock have this season in CCC. Brown would have been back up if for injuries this season. Either way, our defence has hardly been rocky bar that recent dodgy spell.
Ozwin Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 This has got banana skin written all over it. I've come to expect poor performances against the lower table sides this season and expect no different this Satuday. They have nothing to play for but that could mean they play more openly and with no fear. Plus they have a new man in charge and they'll be out to impress. I obviously hope I'm wrong though.

They've appointed Gary Johnson as manager today, so they'll all want to perform well for their place in the team. I hope I'm wrong but I can see an upset for those reasons above.
