dpjfox Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 biggest concern maybe "new manager syndrome" but sooner London road than St James Park
AyewJoking Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 3-1 Leicester. Mondays win will see confidence breeze through the players and we'll be 3 up by half time. Then comes the subdued second half performance with the already relegated posh giving their fans something to cheer about.
Dylan Posted 7 April 2010 Author Posted 7 April 2010 FIFA'd the game and won 2-0, with 1st half goals from Howard and King.
Fox You Forest Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 FIFA'd the game and won 2-0, with 1st half goals from Howard and King. That's good enough for me.
Lillehamring Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 hopefully we will parallel last season, where we had a dodgy run, lost our advantage but finished the season strong and comfortable and with the other teams fading... and hopefully that final stage kicked in last weekend
lcfc"weasel" Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 3-1 to City, Gallagher,Waghorn and Howard to get the goals.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 Valerenga is hopefully the most accurate. A dodgy run until a crucial win on Easter Monday, and smooth sailing from there. London Road could well become this season's Hereford away, as we travel to a team that has struggled all season to gain a win that all but confirms our place in the play-offs. Make no mistake, the manner of the win against QPR means it could be as important as the Leeds win last year in the context of the season, but only if we can build on it. The obstacles to this are larger than we might think. Posh are already relegated, but that means the pressure is off and they may be looking to go down with heads held high. Some of their players will want to impress Gary Johnson ahead of next year's likely promotion push, while others will be looking to engineer moves to Championship sides and skip a season in League One. The number of fans they brought to us this season and last season, coupled with the fact that the game with us at LR last year has been their only sell-out for a few years, shows their fans obviously see this as a big game. In short, they won't roll over. Nevertheless, the table doesn't lie. They haven't been relegated with the thick end of a month still to go for no reason and they are likely to struggle against a side whose confidence should have been restored after dealing out a kicking against QPR. 2-0 City is my prediction with goals from Morrison and King.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 Posh now have the pressure off them. They can play their hearts out against the big guns. No more than a draw. I hope I am very wrong.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 New manager, Posh are really going to push for a win and try and impress. Definately not an easy game. Hopefully the lads still have the momentum going into the match. 2-1 win. Wellens and Waghorn
Daggers Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 They have a new manager - there's nothing else to be said.
VinceNoir Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 Agree with all. A potential banana skin, but I expect City to have a shaky 1st half and then they'll push on in the 2nd and win 2-1
Karljohn Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 Going for a 1-1 draw (Gallagher), new manager and the pressure off them. Can't remember the 2 lads that played up front at the Walkers but they ripped Brown to pieces, lets hope they don't see much of the ball this time around.
StanSP Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 2-1 win. Last minute goal by Super Steve. Gallagher to equalise just after half time..
Donut Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 A much harder game than at first glance Hoping 'new manager' syndrome doesnt come into play on saturday Im going to say 2-0, and im going for Waghorn and a defender to pop up from a set piece, maybe Morrison. we will see
Guest Bilo Posted 8 April 2010 Posted 8 April 2010 Going for a 1-1 draw (Gallagher), new manager and the pressure off them. Pretty sure one of them was George Boyd, who's now at Forest.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 8 April 2010 Posted 8 April 2010 The strikers that ripped Brown to pieces were McLean and Mackail-Smith, both very quick but have been found out at this level. McLean is out for the season and Mackail-Smith has lately only beena sub, but they have a target man now in Dickinson, who is a very clever player and is good on the ball for a big man. George Boyd is a left mid/winger, he isnt that pacy but he is at Forest now like you said.
The Doctor Posted 8 April 2010 Posted 8 April 2010 We'll doink them 5-0 goals from Howard, King, Waghorn, Wellens, Hobbs
sdb Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 with a new manager they'll be up for it and will give it a real go. there will be spells throughout the game when they're on top. however, if we ride those moments out we should still make our superiority pay. over the 90 mins. Heart says win, head says draw, rest says lose.
jonthefox Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Very tough game ahead. Nowt to play for , except impress a new manager. i think we`ll sneek a crafty 1-0 mind.
