purpleronnie Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Such a good result!!! Amazing away support singing throughout, this is it beat Watford seal the play offs and push as hard as we can to get 4th come on City!!! Those damn terraces, its not right I tell ya!
sdb Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 wo wo wo calm down people!! great win but we MUST get 3 points next week, and even then it's not certain. Boro need to lose to WB and Reading to Newcastle. On paper sounds ok but they're both in form and playing teams already up. feel so good tonight tho
Hitesh Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Can we still be relegated? Yes, if we go into administration twice
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Fooking great day! We played quite well but for long periods I thought we lowered our selves to their level, but by the end I think we had good hances to win it 3 or 4-1 but nevermind. The atmosphere in the terraces was awesome. For both goals there was a mini crush where I was straight behind the goal bt terracing is great. The atmosphere from Posh was awful they sug one song when they went and scored so it was brilliant to retake the lead straight away! Typical Leicester, we seem to love the drama! Results went for us too, so all in all a superb day, hope it was for everyone else too!
lcfc_jme Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Cracking result today us, especially seeing how the other games panned out today as well. Would still suggest we need 5 points from the remaining 3 games to be safe though, starting with a win against Watford next Saturday and a favour from the Trees on the same day. 5 points for us would mean Blackpool would have to win their remaining 3 games to join us on 72, and nobody else other than them could catch us - even Reading despite their games in hand. A win for us next weekend and a draw for Blackpool would mean that 1 point from the remaining 2 games would pretty much guarantee us a playoff place as Reading would have to win all 5 of their remaining games to reach 71 beginning with Newcastle in the week.
samjohnson Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Awesome game xD My first experience of a terraced game... And has gave me a good memory of it 2 great goals
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Just got back, EPIC day. Quality. The atmosphere was immense .. Went crazy when we scored shirt off and everything ! One more win.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 I spy FTers on the OS. AFIE, Kilworth and SUAS I salute you! Big result this, especially with other results going our way. A win against Watford next week should all but guarantee our spot in the play-offs, barring some incredible bad luck in the last two games. Howard appears to have found his scoring boots at exactly the right time and gives us another option should Fryatt fail to get fit in time for the big games. King weighs in with some vital goals as per usual. I'm gutted to have missed what could turn out to be our last ever league game on an old school terrace but other than that, brilliant day.
lovelcfc Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Just got back what a win hanging on towards the end tho
The Doctor Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 ah finally i see an away win. Made it seem very difficult though. Really annoying to see us hoof it to waghorn every time when that geohagen was beating him every time, similarly the amount of times vaughan went down - change your frigging boots man!
davieG Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 As a football spectacle it was turgid affair with very little quality from either side, but hey 3 points are not to be sniffed at and another goal from Andy fooking King, he'll soon be the season's leading goalscorer.
willchafer Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 great result today well done lads! also nice to know that we could make the play-offs with potentially 1 more win. for anyone who went to the game how did spearing cope, does he deserve to take oakleys spot?
The Doctor Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 great result today well done lads! also nice to know that we could make the play-offs with potentially 1 more win. for anyone who went to the game how did spearing cope, does he deserve to take oakleys spot? didn't think he did paticularly well in all honesty, i'd keep him in ahead of oakley but i'd rather have Dany N'Guessan out on that wing until Dyers fit again. It was all to clear today that we were missing width.
Fosse Boy Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 The following pictures describe my day adequately: (That one's for Maybes) I spy FTers on the OS. AFIE, Kilworth and SUAS I salute you! Oh FFS! The OS have been all over me like a Catholic priest on children since Blackpool away.
Fosse Boy Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 I want to know who's nicked my scarf in that photo.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 I want to know who's nicked my scarf in that photo. Which one is you ?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 A win is a win is a win is a win and we won. People complaining still (on RL at least), people who say we're not good enough, people who say we'll come straight back down, people who say we haven't got any Premiership standard players can just go and take a very short walk off a very high cliff. We can do this. We can do this at home to Watford next Sat and even if results don't go our way (and can you really see Blackpool beating the Trees (I know this might get my account banned, and I never thought I'd ever say this, but "come on Forest!" )) Fortunately a rare Saturday off work and I'll be able to go!
Corky Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 We didn't play that well, but we won the game, that's all that matters really. Peterborough were the better side early on, we scored with pretty much our first chance, then unfortunately a fabulous strike by Stevie Howard went just over. Seccond half started evenly, they equalised but heads didn't drop and we got back, Kingy with another valuable goal. Held out comfortably to be fair. Up to 5th, four point cushion from 7th, good atmosphere in the away end and lovely weather. Very good day. Fair play to Joe Lewis, joined in with the banter And good to meet you AFIE
Narborough_fox Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Great result today lads, not sure about the performance though a little iffy, still good to get the business done. Incredible support by the faithful today and respect to Joe Lewis getting involved with the wave! WE ARE GOING UP!
lildave3 Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 I want to know who's nicked my scarf in that photo. Barely in it though because of your arm. We're even.
Fosse Boy Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Barely in it though because of your arm. We're even. My watch > you.
Fox You Forest Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 It certainly wasn't pretty but at this stage of the season we'll take whatever we can get. Got to say I'm delighted Big Steve is proving me wrong, I thought he was done but ever since coming on at Cardiff he's been pretty good. Cracking day out in the sun.
