scinnell Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Keep the faith lads. It is only half time. If we score a early goal on wednesday we will be back in with a great shout.
Simi Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Good thread, I can see why this needed to be put on it's own.
KFS Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 They got a goal on a Jammy free kick, they won't break our backline, got to play 4-4-2 with Vaughan and we can bag at least 3
Aeropars Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 I'm off for a post match dump. I'll start a thread and let you know all about it.
davieG Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 I hate that bloody slogan! Better Foxes Never Quit in the circumstances.
surrifox Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Cardiff 0 Leicester 2 (Howard , Dyer) Leicester win 1-2 on aggregate
flanimal Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Leicester to score an early goal. The stadium goes silent. Nerves creep in. It results in an onslaught on the Leicester goal. Hobbs clearing the line, last ditch defending. Leicester hold on, soaking the pressure. It looks like it's going to be extra time. The Cardiff supporters roar their team on, then, Leicester clear the ball, N'Guessan runs to it, hits it by his defender, there's only two defenders back, he muscles by one, flicks it by the other, goes through one on one and fires it into the bottom corner! The Leicester bench explodes. The ecstatic screams of supporters ring out in the hollow arena as Cardiff realise it's over. Leicester are in dreamland!
Daggers Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 There's an argument to be had to say that this result liberates us for the second leg. Cardiff, at home, face the expectations of their fans who have watch them bin the opportunity to go up so many times recently. Without our home support tutting and huffing, with a vocal travelling following, and with nothing to lose we can approach the game with no fear. Cardiff have to meet expectations and they only have a goal. Hit them early, hit them hard and who knows what the outcome could be.
Salieri Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Liking the optimism, i can (almost) feel my black mood lifting.
flanimal Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Losing the first game 1-0 will just make the story all the more brilliant when we get to the final. Leicester is that kind of club. Why win 5-0 when you can lose 1-0, then win the next game and make the victory all the more sweeter!?
Corky Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 I felt dejected after the game, I thought our best chance had gone. But the pressure is off us, in a way. We have to go for it, and an early goal for us will change things. This isn't over yet.
moseeds Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Exactly, we're foxes, we show our true strength when we are being chased by the pack!
Mee Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 As the saying goes, Leicester never do it the easy way. Early goal by Waghorn then an 80th minute Fryatt magic i think. Keep the faith though, the master tactician must of had an off day :city:
lavrentis Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Keep the faith. Got a feeling we will nick it 2-0 on Wednesday which is all we have to do.

Bettsj2 Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 been reading roy of the rovers recently? Reality check people. Leicester will throw everything at Cardiff for the first hour then Cardiff will score ending the tie. We'll keep fighting to the death and grab a goal in injury time but it'll be too little to late. However, we will all spend the summer with immense pride that our club has transformed to the lengths that we were just 3 games away from the Premiership. Progress has been made and we can look to next season and a challenge for automatic promotion. Nigel Pearson is the best manager we can hope for and Milan is a Chairman that we need not doubt. I pray that i'm wrong and on Thursday morning, messages of abuse are plentiful but I just dont see it.

We'll sneak this in the 90 minutes, I can just feel it
Bettsj2 Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Take your half empty glass to another thread! We'll sneak this in the 90 minutes, I can just feel it I hope you're right. You won't be, but I hope you are. The only way we would have won this tie is if we completely battered them first leg, which was never gonna happen. Like I said, auto promotion next year.
Tommeh Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 FOXES never quit. Keep the faith etc. etc. We can do this. Buzzing for Wednesday already.
MikeyT Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 We WILL do it. Going to be very tough, but it'll happen. Couldn't care less how the goals go in, be it a deflection, hit's someone on the bum and flies in..whatever..just want a win and believe we'll get one. Foxes Never Quit!! And whatever does happen, this has been one hell of a blinding season.
