Corky Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Having games kick off at 3pm on a saturday rather than every other time possible OTHER than 3pm on a saturday This. Although I would've liked to play Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Spurs and the West Midlands clubs in particular the likelihood is plenty of matches would be moved and affect travel plans so to have the majority of matches stay at 3pm is a bonus.
Far Post Gerry Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Not being sold by Mandaric, who comes over all smug having achieved his 'three-year plan' and flogs us to some dubious Turkish betting syndicate, which sacks Pearson, brings in Bryan Robson/Roy Keane/Peter Reid (or any other overrated 'big name') who buys a load of overrated foreign players on massive wages, who in turn screw up dressing room harmony, get us relegated, and jump ship when we go back down to the Championship, hastening our descent into financial ruin and administration, and eventually, back into League One. And breathe...
Dames Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 The home end being full of Man Utd 'Fans' when we play Man Utd at home, The same for Liverpool and Chelsea.
StanSP Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Time that could have been spent driving down to Wembley can now be spent drinking whilst watching Blackpool and Cardiff without a care in the world who wins (probably rooting for Blackpool though). Same can be said for after the match as preparation for CL Final. Just swapped my shift at work for that Saturday to Sunday.
hackneyfox Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 That next years play-off final could be worth an estimated £300m (Think it has risen £10m from the first leg to the second) 300m Where does that come from? This years is supposedly worth 90m (42m minimum in premier plus 4 years parachute at 12m)
Benji Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 If Tunchev (remember him?) can get fit, he has a season in the Championship and wont be rushed into the Premiership
jack-lcfc Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 we have finally learnt how to sing" when the blues go marching in" properly!
Koke Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Not being sold by Mandaric, who comes over all smug having achieved his 'three-year plan' and flogs us to some dubious Turkish betting syndicate, which sacks Pearson, brings in Bryan Robson/Roy Keane/Peter Reid (or any other overrated 'big name') who buys a load of overrated foreign players on massive wages, who in turn screw up dressing room harmony, get us relegated, and jump ship when we go back down to the Championship, hastening our descent into financial ruin and administration, and eventually, back into League One. Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Our Semi final games were at times which most neutrals might not have been watching and not being in the final can help us keep Hobbs, King etc of the radar of Premiership scouts It allows our younger players with potential more time to progress i.e Nguessan, King, Adams, Fryatt etc We have more time to get Tunch back and raring to go We can keep finding little gems from Premiership youth teams and allowing them time to progress in this division i.e hobbs next one hopefully being Spearing
Tommeh Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I'm a good £200 better off for not having the play-off final ticket, travel food+ drink, night out etc. Can go to virtually every away again next season and not settle for 10 odd due to prices. Gutted though. And I'll openly admit that up until march I didn't want us promoted.
Jordan Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 8 more league games For me, City games on TV will still be rare ergo they will still be huge deals to me. For fans that travel to away games, the chance for an early- or late-season trip to Blackpool No midseason trip to La Manga Howard Webb and Alan Wiley won't referee our matches
FoxyLouby Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Good things about not going to Wembley.... 1. Paying thru the nose for a ticket where I can see precisely fook all cos i'm so far away from the pitch. B. Not upsetting my lad cos his birthday weekend away has to be interrupted with a trip to Wem-ber-lee. 3. Being able to go and watch matches where we actually have a chance of winning.
Fosse Boy Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I can sit my upcoming exams without spending all day thinking about the day out at Wembley.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Palace away > Wigan away Forest away > Bolton away Millwall away (hopefully) > Blackburn away Sheff Utd away > Sunderland away QPR away > Arsenal away Derby away > Stoke away Barnsley away > Man Utd away I could go on....
yag101 Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I can sit my upcoming exams without spending all day thinking about the day out at Wembley. This.
Shrenchel Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Trains on Sundays are gash. Our fans are shit at early kick-offs. I don't like losing. Cvnts you don't like from work etc suddenly wanting to talk to you about Leicester all the time. Match of the Day isnt on iplayer. I'm poor. Going on the piss on a Sunday is a risky game. Not getting beaten by Wigan.
Jodranadinho Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 We'll have all the main derby games + a realistic chance of challenging for the league/promotion
Karljohn Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Lets face it, we would have been playing to be top of a mini league consisting of WBA, Wolves, West Ham, Bolton, Wigan, Sunderland, Stoke and the play off winners. I can almost pay off my season ticket with the money I won't spend at Wembley on 3 tickets, travel and beer/food I wont have to pay £12 for pie and chips at stamford bridge, £20 to park, £55 for a ticket and witness Chelsea camp in our half for 85 minutes and win 7-0. If Waghorn stays at Sunderland he wont score against us next season, neither will Vaughan, Spearing, not even McGivern. I will not witness Robbie Nielson up against Wayne Rooney. Match tickets for awaydays will still be affordable leaving more money for We can take 6 points of Dirty Leeds again. And we get the opportunity to destroy Coventry, 11 years into their 3 year operation premiership plan.
samjohnson Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Not having to ring up Lloyds TSB for a mortgage on my shed for tickets Avoiding the chance of losing The referee is none other than the worst of them all: Andre Marriner I dont like substandard pies that cost most of Africas debt The prawn sandwich brigade can stay the fook at home I wont be bothered by glory boy Man U-shite-ed fans/ armchair supporters/ teachers to get tickets... We have a year to strengthen the squad
Asha Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Yeah, the fact we're going to be going to Pride Park and the Ricoh again this year is DEFINITELY a positive.
Fosse Boy Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Yeah, the fact we're going to be going to Pride Park and the Ricoh again this year is DEFINITELY a positive. As opposed to those soulful dwellings that are the DW Stadium, the Reebok Stadium, the Emirates Stadium...
Spiritwalker Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I almost feel silly now for cheering on Leicester.
Corky Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Two very easy away games to get to. Just a shame Colchester aren't in the play-offs.
Fosse Boy Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Palace away > Wigan away Forest away > Bolton away Millwall away (hopefully) > Blackburn away Sheff Utd away > Sunderland away QPR away > Arsenal away Derby away > Stoke away Barnsley away > Man Utd away I could go on.... Watch it all (classic clip), but especially from 1:43 onwards.
