Leicfox Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Was it him that had a quality game against us at home? EDIT - Looks like Blackpool want him anyway. Blackpool are getting linked with every free and released player though.
Joe. Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Tamika Mkandawire would be a great signing on a free from Orient I think. Impressed everywhere he's been after making the step up to League One effortlessly and is destined for a Championship club. Goal-scoring centre back as well, think he got 10 this season? My Orient fan flat mate absolutely loves him.

Bugg Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Good shout. Is he out of contract then? Yes, Signed a three year contract in June 2007 I think.
The Doctor Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 had an alright season at Celtic didn't he? tbh i don't know, despite liking celtic they'll always be the "second team" and so where ever there's a fixture clash leicester comes first.
Petchy Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Quoted from Edgar Davids' Wikipedia page.. He was in contract negotiations with English Championship side, Leicester City from 22 October 2009.[16] However, Davids failed to make a decision for over a week and the club withdrew their offer on October 30.[17] But on the 28th May 2010, there was some talk of the deal being back on.With Edgar Davids signing for Leicester City to add experience which Nolberto Solano has added to the team. Despite having awful literacy, Someone really won't let it go!!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 If we got our greasy mits on Derek Riordan my arousal would be almost inconceivable.
Fosse Boy Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Where's this Riordan rumour coming from? He was pretty much the best player on the game on FM06. Surely he's gonna fancy testing himself south of the border at some point...
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 All players that are free agents that could do a decent job ....... Benjani Mwaruwari (ST) ..... would be a prelific goalscorer, wages may be too high and will look to stay in prem however Erik Nevland (ST) ..... influencial sub for fulham, would score goals at this level, wages may be too high / may move abroad George Boateng (CM) ..... hulls former captain would be excellent cover, maybe a starter ? Febian Brandy (ST) ..... played well for Hereford against us last season, only young, one for the future ! Ben Burgess (ST) ..... influencial sub for blackpool, well built like steve howard so can be used as cover / target man, does score goals when given the chance Danny Butterfield (DF) ..... excelent cover and very versatile, can also play upfront Lee Carsley (CM) ..... experienced and tough tackling midfeilder, good cover for wellens Shaun Derry (CM) ..... very experienced, impressive for palace after watching him twice Salif Diao (CM) ..... again very experienced Marlon Harewood (ST) ..... guaranteed goals at this level, wages may be too high however ! Steve Harper (MD) ..... lots of energy and very versatile Tom Heaton (GK) ..... only young but very good keeper / cover for chris weale Clinton Hill (LB) ..... very experienced, good cover for bruno berner Richard Kingson (GK) ..... impressive for wigan a few times this season, ghanas first choice keeper too Gary McSheffrey (MD/ST) ..... very versatile and proven at this level Franck Queudrue (LB) ..... excellent cover for bruno berner, can also play center back Lloyd Sam (MD) ..... very energetic skillfull and attacking Sam Sodje (CB) ..... nigerian international, solid at the back, good cover for hobbs Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink (ST) ..... would be a prelific goalscorer at this level, wages may be too high however Moritz Volz (RB) ..... excellent cover at right back, maybe even a starter ? Any Thoughts ?
poopbutt Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 Marlon Harewood.....Darius Vassell...................why do people have a penchant for strikers that don't score, and more generally, a penchant for shite players that are not a patch on what we've already got? err because most fans think this is football manager and jizz their pants when they see anyone half recognisable on a free
Daveaway Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 I think the lack of players coming in will all be down to a certain DJ Campbell leaving. This will all depend on the amount of money Pearson will then be able to spend. I don't think we will see much movement of players for at least a month until the world cup is over. I think Pearson will be dipping into the Loan market with Spearing and hopefully Waghorn returning. Another midfield player such as Mark Davis from Bolton he looked half decent when he was here on loan from Wolves.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Pretty much all of the players on that out of contract list are out of contract for a jolly good reason.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Richard Kingson (GK) ..... impressive for wigan a few times this season, ghanas first choice keeper too He's really impressed me too for Wigan in all of his 0 starts this season. Pretty much all of the players on that out of contract list are out of contract for a jolly good reason. Yes very true. As Pearson has already proved, you can pick up decent free transfers (Weale, Berner, Dyer et al.), but most of that particular list I wouldn't want us anywhere near.
Guest ttfn Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Nevland would be a good little signing, but I'd rather spend his wages on getting Waghorn back next season on loan
Jfox Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Leon Brittain is out of contract with Swnsea at the end of June Thoughts? He could do a good job for us
Fox You Forest Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Zidane still looks like he could easily do a job in the Championship, make him a cheeky offer.
Jimmy Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Leon Brittain is out of contract with Swnsea at the end of June Thoughts? He could do a good job for us I don't want people who can "do a job" for us I want people that will be key players or are an improvement on what we have
RobHawk Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 I don't want people who can "do a job" for us I want people that will be key players or are an improvement on what we have To be fair Brittain has been one of Swansea best players over the last 2 seasons and would add a different dimension to our midfield!! I think he will be going to the Premier League though! there is alot of talk that a couple of clubs including Wigan want his services!!!
Bettsj2 Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 Ross Wallace at Preston is unhappy and wants to leave. Good tricky winger who can cross better than anything we have at the minute. We wont sign him in a million years but i'd love to see it. Another i'd love to see is Jason Koumas who we were linked with in January. Again though, I doubt we'll sign him.
Narborough_fox Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 Figo looked quality with Zidane, new partnership for next season
