Deary me, he's been on the radar of top European clubs for a while now, any kid that even half impresses in South America immediately is. He's been reluctant to leave Santos, doesn't mean no one's heard of him, some people do watch South American football. Salieri Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 I'd like us to sign Henri Lansbury from Arsenal. I've been following his career down there for a couple of seasons now and in pre-season especially, he knew where his teammates were with a pass, distrubition for a lad of his age was top draw and as he is only going to be on the fringes of the Arsenal squad at the moment (or for the foreseable future) we should seriously consider looking at him. He won't probably cost much - if anything (don't know his age so maybe a compensation package could be agreed) but if we were to sign him or were even thinking of doing so, we should. If for nothing else, he could deliever some stunning corners and free-kicks. One thing we are lacking but onwards and upwards under Paulo! Given Sousa's aversion to loan signings I'd be surprised to see us sign Lansbury or indeed any younger players from prem clubs. Not saying I wouldn't like to see it happen, just nothing in Sousa's record suggest its the kind of thing he'd go for.

Neilson and Lamey are both 30 so won't have the pace that I'd like to see next season. Also I'd like to see a better winger, someone who can control the ball and has lightning pace, who can also get it into the box for someone like DJ to tap it in. Also, one more player would be a CM, just a star CM who could win games for us, we have good midfielders don't get me wrong, but none of them seem to control the game and can change it in a few moments.

Right winger, very attacking. Even bagged himself about 8 goals last season in La Liga, not bad in a relegated side. No link at all, but I wonder if I can get in touch with Sousa. Might take me on as a scout, you never know
