Maybes Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 £1m is never going to happen/materialise . Not saying it will? Would be decent for that money. Obviously we would want to build some sort of appearance fee payment into it, to protect us a tad from his injury prone-ness.
Edmund Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Interesting if true. From talking to Evertonians, he's highly rated, but there is an attitude problem, reckoning his injury niggles are in part self-inflicted by poor training discipline. Unless the Evertonians you've speaking too are fitness coaches working for the club how the hell would they know this is the cause? I'm sure his first injury was inflicted by another player during a match. Anyway would love to see him back here, really is a top player on his day. I remember when he first burst on the scene at Everton, he looked one hell of a prospect.
DanTheFox07 Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 doesn`t the very fact that we being linked to buy him worry anyone? 1million for a player blighted by injuries and hardly played of last couple of season`s steer clear i say! he wasn`t fit for our most important game of season against cardiff so can see him being a disappointing signing!

Agreed. The enthusiasm for his possible signing is misplaced. Why spend money on a player who has been unfit consistently?
flanimal Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Agreed. The enthusiasm for his possible signing is misplaced. Why spend money on a player who has been unfit consistently? I don't think Vaughan is a good signing at £1m. It's not very good value for that kind of cash.
Narborough_fox Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 I'd take him anyday get his fitness sorted out and there's one hell of a striker!
Koke Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 I don't think Vaughan is a good signing at £1m. It's not very good value for that kind of cash. He's class. Quick, strong, good in the air. Problem is his fitness. He could destroy this league easily if he can stay fit. Vaughan is Prem quality. That goal against Watford where he ran past defenders, out-muscled two defenders and slotted it past the keeper was straight out of a Prem striker textbook. The lad would rip this division a new arsehole. Gallagher was £700k and Wellens £1m. In todays market, Vaughan for £1m is pretty good business. It's a risk, but any signing is a risk.
Ozwin Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 I'd love him here, he's only 21, he's got years ahead of him. £1m would be a steal.

RowlattsFox Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Would love to see him here but I'm not sure I'd like us to spend £1m on him. His talents definately worthy of a million but is he too much of a risk? We may not have many millions to spend in the summer and I don't want to use it on someone who's going to spend most the season injured.
flanimal Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Very true At his best is a quality player, and I agree he would kill the Chmpionship. I have issues with his fitness, though. If he only played about 12 games next season, is that value for money? I suppose he could score 8 goals in that time, that could secure wins, so maybe it is worth it. But I don't think his fitness will ever be right.
calum_lcfc Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Would be a strong signing if we can get him, a sign of intent from us as a club to make a big signing like this
FoxyPV Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 If he had an attitude problem then would Moyes not have sorted this out? I can't see him putting up with any shit (although that may be why he was with us). Good player - should have been on in the first leg on the playoffs.
markbsac Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 strings not long said on radio leicester that city have put in a million quid bid for Vaughan....does this mean no wags then ?
Salieri Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Iron out his injury problems and he would be a superb signing, especially if it was for £1 million. Don't agree with people saying they'd prefer him over Waggy. Think the risk element with Vaughans fitness would make me lean towards Waggy over Vaughan. Both would be fantastic.
Dylan Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Would be a great signing. He looks like he's strong and got a lot of pace. Only worrying thing he's injury prone.
Asha Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Don't agree with people saying they'd prefer him over Waggy. Definitely, I agree with this. I think it must just be sour grapes, because of the reduced chance of us landing Waghorn compared to Vaughan. I suppose it's a bit like deciding whether you would rather jack off into a tissue or on Cheryl Cole's tits. We all know which is more likely, but it shouldn't change which you would want, ideally.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 If 1 million is the price, This would be a great bit of business
Guest Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 I suppose it's a bit like deciding whether you would rather jack off into a tissue or on Cheryl Cole's tits. They're completely different players to be honest, I think Vaughan would be a fantastic signing, provided he can stay fit he's shown more than enough to suggest he'd do well here. He wins balls in the air, has great pace and can finish well, would be really pleased if we get this done.
Bert Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 £1m is never going to happen/materialise . If you can get him fully fit and keep him fully fit then yes. Otherwise it's a waste of money we simply can't afford to lose. Would be a massive risk imo. Soz lads.
Fox You Forest Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Just browsing an Everton forum, one of the lads on there suggested a swap deal, We get Vaughan and some cash for DJ.
dogadug Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Just browsing an Everton forum, one of the lads on there suggested a swap deal, We get Vaughan and some cash for DJ. I seen that as well! The rest of them weren't to impressed with the idea though. Seems like they still rate him very highly
dimmerchant Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Soz lads. Haha, you love it. When will it be announced?
