Narborough_fox Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 I may visit to see if any of my Great-Grandad's things have been touched. Hope it hasn't I know how hard it can be.
milan_foxes Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 Hope it hasn't I know how hard it can be. Cheers pal.
Smudge Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 Seems to me that if they put the CCTV footage in the public domain, they'd identify them all the sooner.
MC Prussian Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 Sad news and a totally unnecessary act of violence, damaging property just for the sake of it. Dynamic boredom at its best (and worst). Stupid.
Matt Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 Seems to me that if they put the CCTV footage in the public domain, they'd identify them all the sooner. They should, but I think you'll find thats illegal, apparently a very large majority of CCTV cameras are illegal. I was talking to a manager of a resturant the other day and they have found crimes/suspicion activity on their CCTV's but couldn't do anything or use it in court as it's illegal footage - and wouldn't stand up in court, e.t.c. Pathetic really, deeming CCTV's pointless, especially if someone's doing wrong and they've been caught on camera. I'm not sure on the in's and out's of the law's on them but just saying what i've been told and read when doing a quick search on it, maybe Lisa would know more about the issue's of them? Another case of people/the country being too PC?!
CosbehFox Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 If they aged between 13 and 16, I won't be planned. It will be kids either high or drunk with naff all to do.....the Walled Garden at Braunstone Park is well-kept includes plenty of memorials and is there for the public to use resourceful, it's continously played around with during the holidays.

Yeah but as Birch said you don't really stumble across it, it's at the side of the stadium and not near any houses.
croftfox Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 terrible. one day these youngsters will grow up and have to live with what they have done. glad it wasnt me when i was that age.
CosbehFox Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 Yeah but as Birch said you don't really stumble across it, it's at the side of the stadium and not near any houses. Kids will just go somewhere which is empty and without anyone about. Ala the Walkers Stadium outside working hours. Damage is never caused anywhere populated.
Dan Posted 5 June 2010 Posted 5 June 2010 I don't care how aggressive my comment seems - after all, that was the intention.
backinthebigtime Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 So f**ck ed of with this this morning, lost my Father suddenly 10 days ago, We have the funeral this comming Tuesday and it is my Mums wish to have Dads ashes scattered at the garden and have arrranged it with the club, who incidently have been brilliant, organising get well cards from the players when he was first taken ill , for this comming Friday...ifthese people could of seen the anger and upset on my Mums face when I had to tell herwhat had happened I hope they would have been truley ashamed...but somehow I doubt it.......complete bastards. RIP Malc Colwell
Blanesta Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time Backinthebigtime, its a very tough on people at the best of times, but this total lack of respect just makes me so angry. if they catch these fools they should parade the shits at half time so they can feel the anger off all the fans, it maybe a deterrent in future!!
Narborough_fox Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 My thoughts are with you and your family backinthebigtime. Hope it all goes well and you do get his ashes scattered. Inconsiderate fools.

Stratford Fox Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 I was concerned when I read about this as my brother's ashes are in the garden of remembrance. I went over this morning to lay some flowers and to check on the damage, but couldn't see anything differed from usual. Well done to whoever at the club was responsible for the the clean up. Still fuming though at the pillocks responsible though.

RIP Malc Colwell Sure they will have the memorial garden nice for your Dads funeral it must be an awful shock, I have my uncle who I used to go to games in there and I make a habit of touching his plaque before the game to bring luck but after Cardiff play off game I shouted at him after we lost, what I am trying to say is it will bring you some comfort knowing he is part of the club in the memorial garden. We must not let the scum get to us they are the ones who should be worried.
carterfox90 Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Seems to me that if they put the CCTV footage in the public domain, they'd identify them all the sooner. well said thats what should be done air it on the local tv news each night untill they are caught & their hands chopped off as they would do in some countrys but they will probably be taken away to florida as punishment in this easy on thugs country
Northants Fox 3 Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 I've read this this stoy here and on another forum, it really begers belief as to what the Morons that did this think that they are going to gain by doing this, it's bad enough that they do it to anything at all but to destroy a memorial grarden that really is the sickest thing to do. No morals and you can bet that they have no regrets as to what they have done makes me sick to the Stomach
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Certainly is disrespectful but I can't say I agree with the comments stating that these people are subhuman and deserve to be killed, tortured, or mutilated. How is that any better than the original crime, and how would that improve the situation in any way?
cambridgefox Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 How much of a big man, have you got to be to do a twatty thing like that! They must be so proud to do that to the defenceless deceased and the families.send them to Singapore!
Dan Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 The day I hear this case become "can't be named for legal reasons" is the day I lose that last 0.01% faith I currently have in the UK's Legal System.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 Very upsetting to read this. Dreadful for fans who have laid their loved ones ashes there. I have it written into my Will that's where mine will go (not planning on going just yet mind). I sincerely hope the Police catch whoever did this. Dreadful people.

Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 The day I hear this case become "can't be named for legal reasons" is the day I lose that last 0.01% faith I currently have in the UK's Legal System. Why? This country has a beautiful legal system, one of the basic tenets of which is protecting criminals from lynch mobs who want to take the law into their own hands. Regardless of what they've done, this is a good thing. If their names were released, somebody who is a bigger nutcase than them would do something a lot worse than desecrating a memorial (as serious and disrespectful as that is).
Orkneyfox Posted 8 June 2010 Posted 8 June 2010 My condolences to Backinthebigtime, you and your mother have enough to deal with at this difficult time without having this to contend with as well. The pathetic morons that did this will hopefully be caught and punished but I have my doubts as to whether that will happen. I am not normally a fan of the big brother society but is there CCTV footage of this area or its approaches? On DanLFC's point about names not being released for legal reasons that usually only applies to where it is children who are involved and there is definately less to be gained from pillorying kids when there may be some hope for redemption for them when they mature. Never the less in general one of the strenghts of our legal system is that accused and convicted convicted people are named, although whether some of then feel any shame is very debatable. Cutting pieces off offenders is a touch severe for me but a severe dose of peer pressure from the whole LCFC community e.g. by being paraded in handcuffs (and some stewards as security for their own safety) at half time at a home game as suggested by another poster does appeal to me as a suitable way of expressing our abhorrence of this behaviour without getting too medieval about it.
