davieG Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 From OS Leicester City Football Club are actively working alongside local police in order to establish those responsible for the recent acts of vandalism committed at the Club's Garden of Remembrance. We would like to inform supporters that the club are working to ensure that all damage, committed on the evening of Thursday June 3rd, is restored as soon as possible following any investigations by the police. Leicester City's chief executive Lee Hoos is hoping that the issue can be dealt with as quickly as possible. "We are extremely disappointed that such a mindless act has temporarily affected the appearance of the memorial garden, which means a great deal to a number of City fans. The club will be working alongside Leicestershire police to identify the offenders." Doesn't say how much damage was done but obviously sufficient to involve the police.
Fosse Boy Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 ***** of the highest order. It's unbelievable how people can have such a lack of respect.
Libertine Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 ****s. Got something there for my dad. Hope the damage isn't too bad.

Floating Fox Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Complete scum. Should be banned from the ground. Pretty sure that they aint gonna be Leicester fans doing that kinda thing....

MikeyT Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Tits. My mind can't grasp what must go through some people's minds to be able to want to do that.
breadandcheese Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 This is unbelievably shocking, that someone would do that to a memorial garden.
Lillehamring Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 well, you only need to visit welford road cemetery to see that this sort of behaviour isn't uncommon, sadly this is modern society for you... shameful. mind you, i half expected this to be a thread on the official ugandan stance on lesbianism...

AoWW Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Despicable act - and typically cowardly. I hope all those remembered in the garden mercilessly haunt those responsible.

Romanus Eunt Domus??? I'd be curious to understand the psychology behind this behaviour. I can only imagine, in this case, that it's born out of "getting back" at society or infamy, albeit anonymous. My condolences to all those who's memorials have been desecrated.
