Arkie Bennett Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 If Pearson doesn't feel he is getting the support he needs from Mandaric in terms of his own salary and money to improve the squad, no manager worth their salt is gong to stay in those circumstances. The surprise is that he sees Hull as the best alternative, and would rather risk his reputaton there than bide his time until a better vacancy comes along. It's a sideways move at best, which doesn't say much for Pearson's personal ambition, or it demonstrates how desperate he is to jump ship here. As for Mandaric, we're all fully aware of his easy come easy go approach to appointing managers. He'll wait until the merry-go-round stops and we'll end up with whoever jumps off.

A local estate agent told me on Friday night that he's already buying a building plot for a flash pine log cabin on Immingham beach - it's a lovely spot just across the Humber near the pier.. He's been given the club house for his family at nearby Bransholme until his house is built- seems it wont take long because it comes in kit form from the USA. My Missus works at the KC and she says part of the deal is the daffodil yellow (yes - the man had taste) club Lambo hired by the ex chairman Duffen on top of NP's £21k pw wages. Hull are doubling the wages of his key backroom staff too. It seems he insisted on being the top paid playing staff bloke like his hero Bob Robson at the Toon. That tells us Bullard is going to Celtic after all coz he's on £45k pw. It is now clear that the rumours that Hull have found a new local investor are true after all. The Missus is tight lipped on that one, but I'll get her pissed tonight and I'll find out. I'll have to raid her purse coz everybody up here is between jobs for the summer. So it's all a done deal. I'm sorry but I' m told at least one of your players is on the hit list (don't know who but several want to follow NP here), + a lad from Notts County and one from SheffWed + a name from the Boro NP has always admired. The Missus has many faults, but she's not a liar. She says she was told your wages are pathetic, "only" £6-8m pa total and we know Hull's wage budget this year is £15m+. So perhaps that's a significant factor in this. Exciting times at the KC. Dont you just love it ? Can't wait for the new season now. Good luck on finding a new manager.

iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 When pearson leaves, will Hull become one of the faves for promotion? and I see his favourites as Hobbs, Fryatt, Wellens and King. I dont think all of them could go, Kingy won't, I dont care if Fryatt does, but that debates for another day, Hope we can keep hold of Wellens and Hobbs. I think Hobbs could get a bigger move anyway.

Not sure what that means, family or backroom, but it's what the Missus told me after she'd been gossiping with her waitress mate from hospitality who has been there all day. There will be people there from the rugby league lot too, see. She said he was"tall and good lookin with alots grey hair." - well that obviously cuts out the only other possibility, Holloway. She said everybody had big smiles and there was a lotta handshaking. I'll know a bit more when she gets back to work tomorrow. Or do you Foxes want me to shut up coz it'll only be more bad news for you ?.
