davieG Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 I'm not that fussed he was only ever going to be a short term/stopgap solution we should be looking for some one with some longevity to him.
Tom_LCFC_1990 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 not what I want to be reading My link Yeah i just read that too on Late Kick-Off website. I think he was solid in some performances last season but he is 35 so all in all frees up the wage bill.
Guest Bilo Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 As good a passer of the ball as he is, he has next to no pace and was showing the fact that he's 35 in several performances last season. I'll be sad to see him go as he could have added something towards the end of matches but if Solano's the only player Pearson can get his hands on, we'll have done pretty well.
Uncle Monty Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Yeah, and surely there will be a fee as well right?
Jimmy Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 in his last season, on big money & only a fringe player means he wouldn't be a massive loss
Bettsj2 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Didn't really do anything for me. He aint no right back and he cant do the job as a winger anymore. His free kicks weren't particularly impressive and his crossing wasnt exactly what you'd expect. Yes he can play a pass but shouldn't all footballers be able to do that? Wouldn't be overly bothered if he was to go.
C-man Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Not really fussed. Won't miss his ridiculously unnecessary outside-of-the-boot long balls either.
Corky Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 I like Nobby but with his current deal we wouldn't miss out on too much. We have greater assets in our squad who we need to try and keep.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Not a big loss. If he goes then I would question why to be honest.
Claridges'Shin Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Joining Pearson training next week. aah well he was gonna retire anyway. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/hull_city/8790490.stm
Joe. Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Little bit disappointing but it's not the end of the world. We really do need to improve on what we already have this summer though, a right-back should remain fairly high on the priority list.
Houdini Logic Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Agreed it's not the end of the world, as long as it stays at Solano
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Agreed it's not the end of the world, as long as it stays at Solano Agreed, but I have a feeling N.P. will be back.
morris1234 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Little bit disappointing but it's not the end of the world. We really do need to improve on what we already have this summer though, a right-back should remain fairly high on the priority list. agreed, especially if neilson goes
MrSpaM Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Ok, didnt see that one coming Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of Neilson next season then
Bettsj2 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Agreed, but I have a feeling N.P. will be back. He's not got anything to come back with. Hull have to cull the majority of their squad to save on wages so theirs no way they could afford any of our 'stars'
Sylvie85 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Not massively gutted, however, i did think he added a touch of class, his touch and his reading of the game were the best in the squad. Great player in his prime.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Meh... don't care if he does go. Never rated him here and I think right back is a position we have to work on anyway so if he goes, it'll free up some wages for someone new if we can find them.
Spiritwalker Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Ok, didnt see that one coming Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of Neilson next season then Only if your getting a S.T for Accrington Stanley.
whitlock Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 I thought that he signed a 6 month deal? or was it just offered?
Salieri Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Nobby did a decent job last season but wouldn't be too disappointed to see him leave. His best days are way behind him.
