CosbehFox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 We had a very good season last year - was that MM's fault or do you give him any credit? We weren't far away from the Play Off Final and the Premiership. We hardly had two pennies to rub together before MM arrived. I enjoyed the last 2 seasons and look forward positively to the next. I find negativity depressing and unhelpful. The past two seasons was down to management (let's not forget how MM went through six managers in the year of relegation!). Transfer funds were raised through departures ever since Pearson's been here and depending on your viewpoint, he's just 'sold' that brilliant asset of a decent manager. I can't see the point about two pennies rub together, it's irrelevant I am judging Mandaric's period as chairman and he's probably made two correct decisions and a fair few bad un's. All the money he's lumped in as along as we in the CCC will be debt as he loans to the club (a point when asked about he's goes very unspecific and quiet about). Just like the VAT charity thing which went very quiet. Negativity? You choose to read it and debate. On the whole I am positive about the appointment, if Sousa does a similar job as he's done at Swansea, we'll be in the top six with a squad well assembled from the previous management. We've got some of the top prospects outside of the Premier League, I don't want them sold on as we have a squad to which can be built on here with three or four quality additions.
Head Honcho Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 One decent season at Swansea and all of a sudden he's fvcking chocolate! I was wrong about NP and I hope I'm wrong about PS but ex-fans have always been the best judge's of ex-managers and I'd say a high percentage of Swansea and QPR fans are glad to see the back of him. Which is a worry! It seemed to me that Swansea couldn't wait to get rid of him either, which is also a worry! ...........and question for Hoo's. What pedigree? I'll give him my full backing but I can't see him lasting until Christmas. There I've said it. Feel free to remind of thIs post come next May!

Presumably, you regard MM's appointment of Pearson as a good decision so at least he got one thing right! Premiership here we come!

Salieri Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Football fans are very, very fickle. I think we can all agree on that, can't we?
bluebeau Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 It's so easy to run a football club, any silly sod can do it !!!
CosbehFox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 It's so easy to run a football club, any silly sod can do it !!! Is that a defence? In comparison to a fair few chairmen, he's doing a below average job atm.
Narborough_fox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 If i got the money I'm sure i could do a decent job. I assume others think this to especially at a club we all love.
Bert Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Whether it's been mentioned or not - For those who don't know. The players are back in training tomorrow, and sousa is expected to address the media sometime in the afternoon, I believe.

Didn't I read somewhere that there won't be an official announcement until MM returns from abroad? The OS I think I saw it

Koke Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Interesting watch/listen if anyone is interested. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/swansea-city-fc/2010/07/06/why-swansea-city-will-not-miss-special-one-sousa-91466-26791864/

Considering the club were in the play-offs for most of the season, finished 7th and their best ever placed finish, this is pretty ungrateful

AmericanScott Posted 7 July 2010 Posted 7 July 2010 I completely forgot Swansea are used to finishing in the top four of the Premier League every year so 7th in the Championship just isn't good enough for them.
Shrenchel Posted 7 July 2010 Posted 7 July 2010 Don't know why some people are suprised Swansea fans are pleased to see him go, a massive section of our support would be exactly the same. Didn't quite a few boo the team off after the 0-0 against Oldham in the league one season? Despite the fact we were storming the league and I think that was only time we drew 0-0 at home all season. If we draw 0-0 at home 8 times this season like Swansea did the last, there will blatantly be fvck loads of people calling for his head even if we're sniffing round the play-offs. Someone that's waxed £450 to sit in the plastic factory is never going to be happy that over a third of that cash has gone on watching nil-nils.
Guest ttfn Posted 7 July 2010 Posted 7 July 2010 Let's all go on the Hull forum and tell them that Pearson's worse than Peter Taylor
