Moreno to make Leicester City switch

Defender to join Portuguese contigent

moreno.jpgAfter looking poised to make a move to Hull City. Vitoria Guimaraes central-defender Moreano is all set to play his trade with Leicester City instead.

The 28-year-old stopper was rumored to be moving to the KC Stadium, but now is all set to join The Foxes and the now former Guimaraes man does admit that newly appointed manager Paulo Sousa was key to his decision.

"Yes, everything is upon between the two clubs," attested Moreno to Maisfutebol. 'All that remains are the medical exams and, afterwards, sign for Leicester City."

"He (Paulo Sousa) has already spoken with me, he has known me for awhile. He convinced me to go to England. It was fundamental to speak with him."

Moreno becomes Leicester's third Portuguese signing, after Miguel Vitor joined from Benfica on loan earlier this summer and, of course, manager Paulo Sousa.

Looks like we can assume that this guy will be with us next season.

Leaving us with four central midfielders - King, Wellens, Oakley, Moreno, I wouldn't expect anymore signings for the middle of the park.

All set for Hull but Sousa made him want to come here.

Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be a common theme with Portuguese signings? :D

Sorry there's no edit option when im on mobile but this is in merc, £330k fee 2 year deal. Defensive midfielder was a target for Fulham when hodgson was there. Same article says still interested in lamey as well.

It looks like Andy King with Robbie Neilson behind him

It's the new right back, some sort of genetically modified footballer, so that's what the sports science team do.

They've taken all the best attributes from both players and merged them, so Robbie's throw and the rest belong to King.

I thought his throw was pretty gash.

yeah his throw is standard...makes me laugh when people say shit like that.

Yes, because my post was deadly serious, did I actually say he had a good throw? I don't believe I did.

Has he got pace this Moreno guy? Neilson and Morrison were both slow and got caught out a lot quite a lot when not playing their best.

Even if he has I'm sure we can bring him down to our level before too long.

With any luck this means Oakley will never play again.
