marbelladave Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Logan Lamey Vitor Parkes Kennedy Moreno Wellens Adams John Crncic Fryatt With Weale, Morrison, Berner, Verma, Howard, Schlupp and Campbell on the bench At this satge of the season the players need games, Logan, Parkes, Kennedy, Adams and John may well have a part to play as the season develops but we need to get our first choice players fit and firing as soon as possible. If they are ready Vitor, Lamey and Moreno should all play, also Gallagher if he is fit. Something like - Weale Lamey--Morrison--Vitor--BernerMoreno--OakleyDyer--Gallagher--CampbellFryatt BTW. I am assuming Hobbs will be rested as he got a nasty knock on saturday. Crmcic is on international duty, I believe.
Callabinho Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 I think... Weale Lamey Vitor Moreno Burner Wellens Oakley Dyer John Fryatt D.J I think he will pick Moreno if he can, Vitor if he isn't injured, and play those two at center back! Oakley as a holding player and Wellens just ahead of him. I like the idea of Dyer on the right and John on the left. Fryatt and D.J have to play together because they need to get used to one another and this is a perfect opportunity to give them more playing time ahead of Boro.
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Not right to drop players for a bad performance, probably counter-productive and this "should" be more comfortable than Palace (although games like this rarely go to plan). I would like to see Lamey and Moreno permanently replace Neilson and Oakley, so would give them a go. Vitor is likely to have been brought in as first choice centre-back so I would reluctantly bench Morrison (but probably bring him on for 30-45 mins). Gallagher must start if fit, N'Guessan is most definitely a reserve. Fryatt is one of those that I would try and play into form, Howard deserves his chance and hopefully DJ won't see it as dissing him if he is rested for a League Cup game. It looks like Sousa wants to keep him and he's no use if he feels unwanted. I'd be interested to see Kennedy but think it's more important that Berner gets game time. Would keep a few of Saturday's young subs on the bench in case we happen to be cruising - could bring them on and unearth a young star like Northampton seemed to do at the weekend with a lad called Jacobs. Weale Lamey - Vitor - Hobbs - BernerDyer - Wellens - Moreno - GallagherFryatt - Howard Subs: Logan Campbell Morrison John Parkes N'Guessan Adams

Vlad The Impaler Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Weale Lamey Hobbs Morrison Kennedy N'Guessan Moreno Wellens Gallagher Howard Fryatt Weale, Fryatt, Hobbs and Morrison need games. I wouldnt even have Deej, Dyer, Oakley involved. Bring off Hobbs, Gallagher and Fryatt after he scores. Subs - Crncic, Vitor/Parkes, Adams if alive, Logan, Neilson, John, Moore Looks good I can see him starting Moreno at CB in place of Hobbs, if his injury keeps him out.
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Lamey's deal was announced as "subject to international clearance". Will he have this in time for tonight/Saturday? Also, I know he's not available, but can someone point me to the definitive pronunciation of Crncic - I am going for Churn-sitch unless told otherwise!
marbelladave Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Looks good I can see him starting Moreno at CB in place of Hobbs, if his injury keeps him out. Without seeing Moreno I have no idea how he plays or what is considered his best position, the only information we have is that he is either a (central) defender or defensive midfielder. Despite the obvious rustiness on saturday, Morrison, Hobbs and (presumably) Vitor are all decent center backs but we are crying out for a defensive midfield player to offer some protection to them. So, it seems kind of perverse to play him in central defence...

artursteppe Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Logan Lamey Morrison Vitor Kennedy Adams Wellens Moreno Gallagher Howard + 1 That's it - obvious!
marbelladave Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Same but i'd put wellens for oakley. I'm easy on this one, King would be first choice anyway, both Wellens and Oakley are back up... Similarly, assuming Vitor (and of course Lamey) cuts the Moutard, a fit Hobbs would replace Morrison to make up my first choice starting XI from our current squad. Fitting Robert Koren in would be a bit of a bugger though...
VampLCFC Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Any news on Jack Hobbs? Heared he had a bit of a pulled hamstring, he really needs to play tonight, another 90 minutes under his belt, but obviously can't play him if he's a risk for Saturday Also any news on the fitness of Vitor and Gallagher??
davieG Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 From OS Moreno Cleared For City Debut Posted on: Tue 10 Aug 2010Leicester City's new Portuguese midfielder Moreno has received his International Transfer Clearance and is available to face Macclesfield Town at the Walkers Stadium. Moerno, 29, has signed from Vitoria de Guimaraes and is part of Paulo Sousa's matchday squad for the visit of the League Two side. Moreno travelled to Selhurst Park on Saturday to watch his new team lose 3-2 to Crystal Palace, but may now play some part in Leicester's Carling Cup First Round game.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Gallagher and Vitor both fit after injury - SSN Great news
Unabomber Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 My team would now be: Logan Neilson Vitor Hobbs Kennedy Dyer Wellens Moreno N'Guessan Gallagher DJ

Sylvie85 Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Where's king? Where is the defensive cover on the right? i thought king was with the wales squad, would play it as midfield 5 dyer on the right , wellens, moreno (defensive), kennedy and then gallagher just in front of them. Just thought with wellens and moreno in there it might give us enough options defensively, plus if hey are attacking down the right then kennedy can pull into a adopt a left back position, which would then create a back four.
Master Fox Posted 10 August 2010 Posted 10 August 2010 Can this Lamey dude play yet? If so I'd have him in the team. Want to see what this Crinic (spelling) is like too. Give him 20 - 25 mins second half i say.
