Weale should definately be out, along be out, along with Hobbs and Fryatt, in my view.

I agree, I'm always up for discarding the spine of a great team after one poor performance, because I'm retarded.

Would like to start quite a strong side to get a win and some momentum.

This is on the assumption that Gallagher and Vitor are still injured. If Vitor is fit, I would start him for Morrison to get a game (not because Morrison played poor on Saturday), and if Gallagher is fit I would start him instead of Nguessan.

Would also start Fryatt to try and get a goal to gain some confidence. I would give Berner a rest, starting Kennedy- test him out. Hopefully we get the win early on to give some of the youngsters a run out!

*EDIT- just realised Crncic and King are unavailable due to international duty.

Either playing the 4-3-3/4-5-1 with Oakley, or the 4-4-2 with Nguessan.

Moreno signed a two - year contract so i will presume he will play in some part. :)

Depends how long he's waiting for international clearance - doesn't it go through UEFA along with every other transfer from country to another country? Could easily be waiting till m'boro before he's able to play.

I would start our strongest 11, forget sat use this as a friendly, put in a good performance, get a good result, then carry it through to Boro!

I want to see all the new boys, especially Moreno, cos we need a defensive midfielder player with strength in the team ASAP! Also Vitor, and the ex PSV boy if he has signed, and maybe Crncic up front with Big Steve.

strong team first 45min get a lead and give the new boys a run out for a half. i'm sure we'd build upon a lead. 30/45min should be enough for debutants in a League cup game. Lamey to start if availble though. had his run out against sunderland.

Hopefully Sousa will play who ever needs the game, the emphasis must be on saturday.

Anyway, even a pretty experimental XI should be enough to see off the opposition, so long as it not just the kids and fringe players. At this stage of the season the players all need games so I expect a fairly strong side with a fair few of the new players getting a run out.

Just hoped that Sousa saw enough first half at Palace to realise that 4-4-2 is not the way to set up with the players we have!...:frusty:

Looking forward to having a relaxing evening there tonight. Hopefully we'll play some good stuff and Fryatt, Hobbs and Morrison play themselves into a bit of form.
