Simo86 Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leicester_city/8924943.stm Reports saying Tunch is close to a return to training, can only be a good thing. Some very positive signs from Dave Rennie
Collier Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Thought it was going to be about a month or so before they're going to start putting pressure on his knee to see how it copes?
Leicester_Loyal Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Can't wait to see him back in a LCFC shirt.
DanTheFox07 Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Fooking love this Guy!!! Will beef up our defence then moreno can play in defensive midfield!!!
MPH Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 As good as 2 years out of the game. When he was last playing for us we were in the division below. I would be suprised if we saw the tunch we love playing at his best any time before christmas. Would love to be wrong!
J.Lisemore Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 This would be like a new signing IF he plays again
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Great player, but will he really recover properly from his injuries, and be the player he used to be?
dandannieldanok Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 I still don't think we'll see him back in a Leicester shirt ever again. If he does prove me wrong, then I doubt he'll be anywhere near the player he once was unfortunately. Must have been a miserable couple of years for the poor bloke.
themotivator Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 would definitely be a positive influence on the squad once he is fit. only time will tell if he can be great for us.
Fosse Boy Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Obviously hope this is true, but the pessimist in me (which doesn't come out very often) says he won't ever be right again.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Hope he comes bck and stays fit for a long time. Another injury will finish him.
MikeyT Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Will be great to see him back, he's a different class when he plays.
Petchy Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Hope he comes back as strong as ever just to prove people wrong really, got two guys sitting behind me at the walkers and every time they always go on about how he's a waste of a squad number as he's 'another Clemence'. Prove them wrong Tunch!!
FoxesFan123 Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Hmmm, I'm another one doubting his return. I am just expecting another setback in the next couple of weeks. My opinion is we'll never see him play for city again. Hope to good that I'm wrong though, and he comes back as good as before!!
Unabomber Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Like others have said he if does get himself back fit and to a similar playing level as he was at when we first saw him, it will be like a new signing and a fucking good one at that. A back four of Lamey/Neilson Hobbs Tunchev Berner would be very good, and allow Hobbs to go back to the right hand side of defense.
Corky Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 Really hope he comes back and is similar to the player he was before, sadly I fear he won't be.
Bert Posted 18 August 2010 Posted 18 August 2010 I still don't think we'll see him back in a Leicester shirt ever again. If he does prove me wrong, then I doubt he'll be anywhere near the player he once was unfortunately. Must have been a miserable couple of years for the poor bloke. Agree. Sadly, I think this is just poor journalism. It's hard enough coming back from any cruciate injury, but to have setback after setback is even worse. The Merc have simply just hard he's going to be back training and made up a story to get people excited because nothing else is happening at the minute.

Have you listened to David Rennie on Radio Leicester phone in on Monday Night? He seemed upbeat but I know you have your close contacts with the club. As I understand it his "cruciate ligament injury" knee is ok - it's the other knee which has had to have some surgery to clean up things up.
