I really hope we don't end up with this useless lump. I recall some glaring misses in the pem last season.

Isn't interested at Portsmouth.

If he sorts his attitude out, he will tear this division apart.

Would be awesome if we could get Portsmouth to pay his wages.

Pompey lad I know says he's not interested at this level, acting like he's too big to play in this division and playing like a nonce. Can't really be doing with players like that if that's his assessment.

Stringer says he is unaware of interest from Leicester.

But it is Stringer.

Now on SSN website http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_6350200,00.html

Leicester and QPR have made enquiries over Portsmouth striker John Utaka, Sky Sports sources understand.

The Nigerian international is thought to be set to leave the cash-strapped South Coast club due to Pompey being unable to afford his lucrative contract.

Utaka moved to Pompey in 2007 from Rennes for £7million, but has failed to live up to his price tag and has often been a bit-part player.

The 28-year-old is in the final year of his contract, and with wages of a reported £80,000 a week, manager Steve Cotterill is likely to be willing to cash in on the player to ease the club's wage bill.

Utaka has scored just seven goals in 66 games in his time at Fratton Park and it is unclear whether he will be leaving on loan or on a permanent basis.
