So waghorn and ade on deadline could there be anymore that we havnt been told yet ???

Well Hoos did say 2 strikers and a defender. I wonder if they ran out of time..

only loan deals, will have to wait for the premier league squads are announced tomorrow

(although players under 21 don't count towards the 25 man limit, nor the 8 homegrown limit)

was holding out hope for Rubén Rochina from Barca, but it looks dead in the water - although it was probably a non-starter anyway

think we need a little more upfront tbh...like most others I'm really glad to see Waghorn back at the club, but just not sure he's the savior that some seem to think...I do hope so tho :chant:

I must admit. I expected more given what Hoo's said. He didnt give the impression it would be loan deals. Maybe loan with an option to sign?

Funds being what they are I cant say I really mind loan deals..they've worked well for us for the last two years...I guess the only issue is if the team is heavily weighted with loan players, I cant help thinking that some of this seasons early and soon to be resolved problems are due to the number of loanees who left at the end of last season...its a big disruption to the playing staff

Bit of an anticlimax considering the names being branded about at the start of the day.

Most importantly it looks like we've kept the players rumored to be leaving.

A little disappointed we didn`t bring in another centre back, given our problems there at the moment.

Moreno is NOT a centre back, sousa seems to have little confidence in playing morrison there, and vitor and tunch are out till who knows when.

Interesting bid to swansea, for williams , because according to a swansea fan, on tb earlier today, sousa knows fine well that 2 million quid was no where near what they would let him go for.

Well chuffed to have waggy back though!

i was thinking a loan defender signing, paulo seems to be reluctant because of tunch + vitor, but maybe a 1-3month loan signing would do us some good?

Maybe it was down to DJ that some of the squad was unhappy :dunno: . Well i hope so. Welcome back Waggy :scarf:

We've signed a handful of players under Sousa now without losing anything significant from the squad.

He ought to be able to fashion together some decent results using these players, so i think it was wise to hold back any wild spending until we have some proof that he has some idea what he's doing.

Good on the new investors for this. It shows a certain understanding that will be crucial to any future success.

Don't think anyone can moan how things have panned out, we've had an absolute result in my opinion.

Waggy in permanently which is fantastic news plus Abe in who, fingers crossed could be a quality addition.

Added to that, the incredible sulk DJ finally shipped out of the club and thankfully (in light of recent speculation) none of our better players who were reportedly close to leaving i.e Wellens, Fryatt and Gally have been sold.

I think we should all be pretty chuffed on the whole.

True but in the end failed bids, hitches, etc, etc come into play.. I'm quite happy with what we have done and there's still loans to look at and we can do this all again in 6 months! :giggle:
