Tubes Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Yeah ill be there, they were a right pain hopefully we'll be back in the corner next time so we'll hopefully have different stewards, Ive always stood at Lids before. Not surprised in the slightest they ignored you. I will make the same challenge, they will say I will have to E-mail, but what will they say when I say I did and your managers ignored me - Probably 'it's time to leave the ground now sir' I was about to say id be surprised if they kicked you out, because you put your argument across in a respectful manner, but nothing surprises me in football anymore, mainly from my own experiences.
Stand UP... Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Fair play, but I will certainly not be moving to L block and I will be wearing my Fosse Boys scarf at the next home match by the way I have written to the club as requested by the Leeds stewards on the night about the home fans being allowed to stand and guess what they have ignored me. Hopefully if you go to the Leeds league game we can have another go at standing again. Leeds stewards are pretty much on the same level as Leicester's. Complete arses. I went to the Leeds away game on boxing day (league 1) and we stood all game, you could see there cheif security guard getting very wound up about it and sent a load of stewards in to make us sit..thankfully the whole rest of the city away fans stood up and sang "stand up"and continued to stand so they - then couldnt chuck any of us out. Thats what you call support from your fans, rather then being punched in your back to be told to sit down.
leftsideoverhere Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 its because of statements like this the Fosse boys need to be keeping peoples intrest.. so that they, along with public opinion and public pressure can be a force to challenge the club and put the pressure back on them., It's because of statements like this that the Fosse Boys need to make a statement only when they know what it is they want to say. If the club have made unacceptable demands, then the moment the Fosse Boys say so, all hell will break lose, and they need to be prepared for the deluge if that is what's going to happen. Likewise, if the club have actually been reasonable, and some compromise was reached, then I can imagine the FB needing to make very clear what they 'gave up' in order to get the compromise. Neither of those situation would be helped by going off half cocked. If we were paying subs to the Fosse Boys, and they had elected leaders who'd made promises about communications and so on, then the people demanding a statement might have a point. But neither of those things is true, and the bottom line is the Fosse Boys organisers, who've already given up so much of their free time to organise the thing in the first place, don't owe anyone their right to take the weekend off, and then meet up when they can fit it in to their outside lives, in order to get the next steps right. Viva Leicester.
leftsideoverhere Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 This sums it up. Let the Fosse Boys sit down and figure out how they are to respond to the meeting representatives for the group had with the club. I think we can wait a few days if the outcome many of us wants is on the "closer" horizon. Hell, no. I insist they stand up and do it.

Hopefully if you go to the Leeds league game we can have another go at standing again. What email address did you write to? I've read through the whole of the Leeds 'customer charter' and although they've got a million ways to contact the club if you want to buy stuff, the section on complaints is conspicuous for not having an email address. You have to post your letter to them, if you want it to be taken seriously, it seems. Helping us to help you The Club actively welcomes feedback from our customers both positive and negative. Yes I agree weight of numbers won out on that day and I stood as well, hopefully to be repeated at the league game in a few weeks.
Lillehamring Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Jesus, the FB don't owe anyone an explanation, they don't have to constantly report in with their plans and intentions. they are not an official body, they're just a bunch of fans trying to get something going, if we had a decent club, the whole FB thing would be simply that, a bunch of fans having fun at the ground. sadly, from day one, there have been idiots on this board stirring things and questioning their motives and laughingly writing them off before they had begun; and again after the incident with the complaints, people on here were quick to jump in and accuse the FB of manipulating the press and lying to get publicity - is it any wonder they aren't prioritising an announcement on here... to be honest, if i was part pf the FB organisation committee, i'd keep the majority of discussion on their own board - mind you, i'm sure there'd still be at least one douche from here that would register just to troll the FB website. there's no rush, it's an international break, let them plan their next move in house, and when they're ready, if they chose, i'm sure they'll let interested parties know what is happening. the fact that they even have anything left to discuss should suggest that it isn't over yet, the club are going to have to be very careful and have said they want to cooperate with the FB,
Foxes_Trust Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 The FSF rep has given a written copy of the meeting to the supporters trust ( as mentioned by themselves earlier) so i dont see what the delay is in releasing them... If they take too long then people will lose intrest, media outlets will move on to other subjects. As far as the media is concerned, they have peoples interest... they need to release the minutes of the meeting whilst the media are still on their side whilst it is still fresh on peoples mind and public opinion/ reputation with the public is important to the club. It is not our decision to make, but we would doubt that the Fosse Boys or the FSF will release the notes of the meeting in their current format, as these were written as a good record of events but also as an aid to help the Fosse Boys decision making process

If they want to use this message board to launch themselves, gain intrest and support, when it comes to us wanting a bit of info on what happened in the meeting.... after all... where would they be without Foxestalk? ( i know that might of come accross as being rude, but it isnt meant to be...) and again... not once said they need to tell us what they are discussing, just let us know what happened at the meeting.....

One of the Fosse Boys said they were taking the time so they copuld type up the minutes before releasing anything else so i was just making the point that minutes are already available....

As they have not answered looks like I will have to write to them, how very modern or dare I say inconvenient, anyone would think they don't want you to complain.
Alexikokopops Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 WHAT HAPPENED AT THE MEETING GODDAMMIT???!?!!??!?!??!?!!!!?!?!?!?!?!

This! # "And if all others accepted the lie which the club imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past' ran the clubs slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.'"
ozleicester Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 WHAT HAPPENED AT THE MEETING GODDAMMIT???!?!!??!?!??!?!!!!?!?!?!?!?! forget the meeting and the Fosse Boys... it's now all about 12 year old Thai players.
Floating Fox Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Hello from Fujairah people! Just a quick message to everyone involved, keep at it, dont compromise with the club. I can access foxestalk whilst at sea (Cant post though) and i have to say your treatment at the reading game wound me up more than anything else I had come across despite a lot of problems out in the big blue ocean. This is the best chance we've had at creating a proper group for ages, and I have faith that when I return in December the group will be even stronger. Can't wait! Top effort fellas.
purpleronnie Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Blimey people are impatient, wait until wednesdays you morons.

( i know that might of come accross as being rude, but it isnt meant to be...) and again... not once said they need to tell us what they are discussing, just let us know what happened at the meeting..... no, i think it's you that are missing the point... they didn't 'use the message board to launch themselves' - a lot of the group were FT posters, and naturally, the idea of doing something arose from the common bond of this board - you make it sound like they have come to this board solely to start up the FB. FT is an integral part of the FB, yes, but only as a common meeting point - the 21st century equivalent of the back room of the pub. whilst the content of the meeting may be fascinating to you, i think most people only really care what happens next in this saga - what will you gain from knowing the contents of the meeting and why do you feel a divine right to know about it - do you get all hissy like this if the foxes trust have a meeting and don't personally report back to you within 20 minutes? can i ask, are you actually registered on the FB website? if not, why not, seeing as you feel so entitled to know every movement associated with them and why are you so determined to both get this information and imply some kind of inadequacy or distrust regarding the FB? they don't owe you anything, if you chose to read the threads regarding the FB, fair enough, but that doesn't make them your public property. i suggest you just take a step back and, like everyone else, wait and see.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 I personally feel that we do owe the posters of foxestalk an explanation of the meeting and everything that has happened, because of all the support we have gained from this site, it would have taken us twice as long to have gotten this far without it. we really don't want any confusion over what we say, we will be posting something up on Thursday for everyone to read, about the meeting and what we plan on doing next most people can guess what the meeting was about i think, what persistent standing is i dont know all the details of the meeting my self but will after the tomorrow night (hopefully i can remember it all ) and we still aren't allowed bloody flag poles! please be patient though!! thanks for the support everyone!

1964FOX Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 FT is an integral part of the FB, yes, but only as a common meeting point - the 21st century equivalent of the back room of the pub Another tradition the Fosse Boys will be embracing on Wednesday night - back room of a pub it is.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 yet every man and his dog seems to knock one out over the Kop on a European night I know! and they arent small either at Liverpool are they! It's just so annoying that so many clubs allow fans to have flags in every league apart from Leicester even Middlesbrough allow flag poles for gods sake! we'll just have to take every step at a time, and hope that they will eventually let us have flag poles

This may remain a sticking point for some while yet. By the way, what happened to that flag? Would be good to have it on display for the Cardiff game...
foss1884 Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 I found this interesting article on the Liverpool website. Have a read: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/stadium/anti-hooliganism Also check out the flag issue at Wembley: http://www.wembleystadium.com/events/groundregulations/ If only our club could see sense.
