peterborofox Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 But, we're gonna win the Carling Cup! Only Leicester could win the Carling Cup but be so shit in the league!
Corky Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Logan- 7 Neilson- 4 Morrison- 0 Vitor- 3 Berner- 4 Abe- 5 King- 5 Dyer- 6 Oakley- 3 Howard- 5 Waghorn- 3 Hobbs- 4 Fryatt- 3
Facecloth Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Logan nine? missed steve howard from free kicks about 4 times, and if not booted it to the other keeper! dove the wrong way for the penalty, almost got chipped from 40 yards and only tipped over a couple shots straight at him Your criticising a keeper for diving the wrong way on a penalty. Penalties are pretty much guess work, keepers just throw themselves one way and hope for the best. Picking out not saving the penalty is extremely harsh.
dan_84 Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Logan 5 Made 1 or 2 decent saves but kicking was awful and nearly caught out of postion a couple of times. Berner 3 Clueless. Vitor 3 Unlucky to be sent off. Morrison 0 doesnt deserve a rating or to play again any time soon after that performance. at fault for at least 5 goals Nielson 3 Am i missing something I thought this guy had a throw like Rory Delap? more like Rory the tiger! Abe 5 Unlucky to be subbed. Needs to find out what Matt Oakley must be doing to the manager to be staying in the team. Oakley 2 Woeful how does this bloke stay in the side? King 3 was unlucky not to score but went missing. Dyer 4 No service and not in the game after going down to 10 men Waghorn 4 Would expect more for the money we payed. showed his frustration. Howard 6 only play that seemed to really show any pride. Hobbs 3 fitted in well to an awful back 4. needs someone who can read the game next to him otherwise he is clueless. Fryatt 3 did he touch the ball? Paulo Sousa 0 pack your bags iv heard the algarve is nice this time of year. Milan Mandaric If you want to go back to Pompey thanks for what you have done here but get lost rather than sitting there smiling and waving when they are singing your name
Callabinho Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Logan - 6 If it wasn't for him it could have been a triple figure scoreline. Dyer 4 - Played ok in the first half. Howard 7 - Won his flick ons, got a goal and showed fight. Have i missed anyone because i did't think anyone else played?
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Logan - 7 good saves, no protection Neilsen - 3 shocking, not bothered if I never see him in a city shirt ever again. Can't pass Morrisson - 1 Responsible for 4 from 6. Dire Vitor - 4 unlucky to be sent off Berner - 3 bad Dyer - 6 showed some will and effort before subbed Oakley - 2 anon as captain... is a he a leader? NO King - 3 no credit. Unlucky to be chalked off Abe --- unfair to judge, only on pitch for 20 mins. Looked good tues night Waghorn - 3 £3mill, out of position Howard - 6 Put in 100% as usual, no quarms. Only one who seemed to care, Hobbs - 4 tough gig Fryatt - 6 looked energetic
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Oh dear! Logan 6 - made a couple of decent saves, but was also indecive in areas or decisive that he wasn't coming from crosses that he perhapse should have done. Neilsen 1 - I'm not one of the Neilsen haters, but this performance will certainly give them lots of amo Vitor 6 - He's quite short. A tad unlucky / neive with the sending off. Looked confident with the ball when coming out of the back Morrison 1 - not a good night for him, next time let ginger have the free header rather than give away a blatent penalty. Berner 6 - did alright Hobbs - 6 - You have to question why he didn't start and doesn't have the Captains armband Waghorn - 6 energetic, nice touch, pass and shot, but not much else King 6 - some nice touches, put a shift in Abe 6 - unlucky to be brought off after the sending off, looked ok Oakley 1 - the midfield aren't helping with me theme, so Oakley's the one to suffer! Dyer 6 - ran a bit, looked dangerous at time. Not Sousa's best idea to bring him off unless he just felt the game had gone and it was best to give him a rest Howard 6 - won flick ons, but with no one alongside whats the point? Scored which breifly threatened the most unlikeliest of come backs Fryatt 1 - Some nice touches and the like, but when I'm giving 6's or 1's it has to be a 1 Sousa 1 - Team selection was left wanting when you look back in hindsight, did not manage the team after the sending off the players were in disaray and didn't know how was going where. Subsitutions didn't do anything to change the game and ok it was a tought situation, but didn't bring up a master plan at half time to put us back in with a shout. Referee (picture below) 1 - The respect campagin must have done something in order to stop any player from lamping this guy. He is laughable, petty and can't admit to being wrong, even if his linesman has his flag up from a better position disagreeing! Special Mention - Lise Pendry-Hunt, 10! I have never seen a person take a referees inept performance to heart so much and I felt quite angry at the man for doing that to you. I had never really paid attention to the guys arm before, only his mincy strut about the pitch, but I certainly did during the second half and you were spot on. I bet Mr Lisa isn't happy with Mr Hill either as he has no doubt ruined his weekend away with the Mrs? Oh and apologies for suggesting we go back and watch the second half. Oh and one last thing.... Sousa in, I hate being the majority x x x
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Among the many. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 Logan 7 Dyer 4 Howard 6 Abe looked on for a 6 before being inexplicably substituted. Morrison 0 - if he starts again before xmas I QUIT 2s all round for the others.
lcfc_jme Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 Logan - 7 Neilson - 4 Morrison - 0 Vitor - 2 Berner - 3 Abe - 5 King - 3 Oakley - 3 Lloyd - 5 Howard - 6 Waghorn - 3 Subs: Fryatt - 2 Hobbs - 2 Manager: 0
Father Ted Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 Logan 8 - Had no real chance with any of the goals and was the only player showing any passion. Keep him. Neilson 4 - Torn apart by Utaka. Morrison 3 - Bad game, head up son. Vitor 0 - Inevitably cost us the game. What on earth was he doing? Berner 5 - Some decent runs but really struggled against Lawrence. Dyer 4 - Kick and run, kick and run, kick and run, is that all he can do? Oakley 2 - Pathetic. Abe 5 - Didn't look too bad whilst he was on the pitch. King 5 - Started very brightly, had 2 good chances (including a penalty shout) and had a goal disallowed that should have been allowed. Faded away as the team collapsed. Waghorn 4 - Did nothing great. Howard 4 - 100% as always but is ineffective when he has no support whatsoever. Fryatt 4 - Slow. Hobbs 4 - Really lacked confidence. Sousa 0 - Absolute no show. Massive mistakes in dropping Hobbs and Wellens. No passion, no desire. Awful decision taking Abe off for a defender at a point when we were 2-0 down and with 10 men. Should have gone with 3 at the back. Ref 0 - This rating applies every week. Is there ever a week when a ref doesn't make at least 10 bad decisions? FA should stop employ cocksuckers. Milan Mandaric - senile old twat
bigneville Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 From the game; Logan - 6 - Positioning was poor (nearly got lobbed twice), kicking was awful. But made some decent saves. Couldnt really do anything about most of the goals. Neilson - 3 - The return of last season's Neilson. Enough said. Vitor - 4 - Harshly sent off, but after he initially touched the ball, why oh why put your hands around the player. Early signs suggested he was going to struggle against Kitson Morrison - 1 - Worst defensive performance i've seen in a long time. Cannot play the Paolo way. Simples. Berner - 5 - Looks a shadow of his former self. Oakley - 5 - Tried hard, but lacked quality at all times, and didn't lead well. Abe - 6 - Harshly subbed, but was going to be wasted with the football we played. Hitting the ball long to Howard means Abe becomes useless. He did however show good footballing intent early doors. King - 4 - Missing again, poor touch. Dyer - 5 - Gets soooo much joy out wide, but again starved of the ball. He needs to stop coming inside to try and get the ball. Incorrectly subbed when his pace was still a threat. Howard - 6 - Worked hard, got a goal for his efforts, but too often his build up play was poor. Waghorn - 4 - The best thing he did all night was chase down a centre half and block a long ball. Summed it up. And WTF was he doing shooting from 45 yards? Subs Hobbs - 4 - Harshly left out of the side, but when he came on, he needed to lead the back line and take Morrison by the scruff of the neck and sort him out. Wasn't a good night for him. Fryatt - 6 - Looked sharp to be fair to him, but what can you do when your first touch is at 4-0 down. Made a positive impact.
marbelladave Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 From the TV, in the pub, with the sound off. Not Premier League so I had to ask for it to be put on, I was probably the only person watching with any interest. So the views are entirely mine, no commentators, no pundits, so for what it is worth; Logan. Average at best, not a commanding figure, poor positioning, lousy distribution, seems to make regulation saves look difficult and fails to make his saves really count by not knocking the ball clear of the attackers. Neilson. Back to his worst, routinely skinned by Utaka, out of position a lot, distribution poor. Kept going to the end, the only positive thing I can think to say. Morrison. Hugely conflicted, trying to follow Sousa's instructions leave him uncertain and disorientated. Spends far too much time trying to work out what he should be doing rather than doing it. Vitor. Looked very decent, even though his partner was well off the pace. Until the red card he looked comfortable on the left which could be a big advantage eventually. Very unlucky to be sent off by a really poor "homer" of a referee. Berner. Looked solid enough first half, most of our troubles came down the other side. Looked to be fit for the first time this season. After the double strike in the second half he really seemed to give up, disappointing. Oakley. Largely left on his own after Abe was substituted, over run, overwhelmed and hung out to dry by Sousa's tactics. Simply not combative or strong enough to play the defensive midfield role, not awful, just not effective enough. King. Once again deployed well forward even when we were down to 10 men, sort of understandable as he is our most effective attacker (along with Dyer) but it takes a lot from his game and we really miss his contribution defensively. Abe. Looked good on the ball but perhaps not yet attuned to the shear physical effort required by English football at this level. Surprised that he was substituted as it left us wide open in midfield. Waghorn. Largely anonymous, still puts in the effort but to no avail. Played far too wide first half, bit better second, strange as last season he did his best work from the right. Howard. Typically combative and, just as typically, largely ineffective. Unlike some he kept going to the end and deserved his goal for shear persistence. Surely we have better options? Dyer. Easily our best forward for half an hour then largely neutered when Sousa brought him back into midfield. When he plays well forward he needs to play on the right where he can come inside on his left foot. Hobbs. Given the impossible job of shoring up a rattled defence with absolutely no cover from midfield, still a bit hesitant as he tries to do what Sousa requires of him even though it goes against all his instincts. Fryatt. Looked fitter and more up for it than at any time this season, service and support was almost non-existant so there was little he could do. Sousa. Everything that could go wrong did and he had no real idea what to do about it, disappointing.
Fox92 Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 Logan - 5 Neilson - 2 - Passing is horrible. Morrison - 2 Vitor - 2 Berner - 3 Abe - 4 - Nice touch and pass in places. King - 3 Oakley - 3 Lloyd - 5 - Moved to the right and was never the same player. Unlucky to be taken off. Howard - 6 - Deserved his goal, never gave in. Waghorn - 2 - Out of position again. Shots at stupid distances. Did nothing great.
Lillehamring Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 Logan - 7 - kept us in it and couldn't really be blamed for the first 2 goals, and the other goals he was pretty much left by the defenders to cope for himself Neilsen - 4 battled to try to support the midfield, but accountable as part of a sorry back 4 Morrisson - 1 finally looked like the non league player he was until recently. poor Vitor - 4 not really on long enough to judge Berner - 3 disappointing Dyer - 5 started brightly and did more in the first 20 than king or oakley did for the last 80 combined Oakley - 2 needed a captains performance, and we got captain fuckin birdseye King - 3 looked good until Abe went off and may as well have gone off with him Abe - 5 different class, the weighted ball down the line to dyer was the classiest bit of football in the whole game, has to start regularly if we are going to play sousaball Waghorn - 4 looked much better towards the end when he seemed to move more central behind howard and fryatt must start as the centre man in the front 3 Howard - 2 had he not touched the ball for 90 minutes we'd probably have played better, sadly almost every attack went through him and broke down at him each time. poor heading, poor control and the toepoked goal was not nearly enough to compensate for the overall negative impact he had on the game
martyn Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 Logan 7 - Unlucky Neilson 2 - Abysmal Morrison 1 - Catastrophic Vitor 2 - Uncomfortable Berner 4 - Disappointing Dyer 4 - Inconsequential Oakley 1 - Leave King 3 - Anonymous Abe 4 - Japanese Waghorn 2 - Terrible Howard 4 - Scored
J.Lisemore Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 Logan - 5 Neilson - 2 - Passing is horrible. Feeling genorous?
Fox92 Posted 25 September 2010 Posted 25 September 2010 Feeling genorous? Quite genorous, J. Lisemore, quite genorous indeed.
themotivator Posted 26 September 2010 Posted 26 September 2010 Blatantly cant sleep. i blame our poor form. i keep getting nightmares that i am michael morrisson. either way i think we were sloppy, unlucky (yes again i know) and the result and performances from the players were completely embarrassing and unnacceptable, but i firmly believe that it would have been a completely different game if we hadn't conceded the penalty and had Vitor sent off. didn't totally roll over which was ever so slightly encouraging... there i've said it. AND WHAT? Logan-5- some good double saving action, but apart from that, not world class. Nielson-3- Running about like a shite, angry, frustrated, beaten scottish bloke with long hair. go back to being good-ish again. Michael Morrisson-1- Horrorshow. he is MENTAL. Vitor-5- tried to hug Nugent and was sent off. Apparently it was harsh, i thought it was VERY HARSH...(sort of) BRUNO-3- ran the length of the pitch at one point and lost the ball i think. made mistakes throughout. Abe-6- Early days, early bath, but looking good. Oakley-3- not impressive. no leadership, poor distribution. uninspired. King-4- Scored, but ultimately couldn't create enough striking opportunities. not great Lloyd dyer-5- by this seasons standards he didn't cause enough trouble, but loved it when he completely did that defender. Waghorn-3.5- Kicked the ball at the goal really hard from long range, was out of position and generally struggled to make any impact. Howard-4- Looked frustrated, tired and slow, loads of flick ons to nobody from a million long balls. not a threat. oh he scored too, but it wasn't an amazing goal really. Subs: Hobbs-3- Looked uncomfortable Fryatt-5- Looked sharper than most and was creative at times but was neutralised and ultimately didn't get close to scoring.
