Paulo Sousa says: "I'm under no pressure"

"I never feel under pressure. I feel very secure in myself and very positive. We will turn things."

Sousa is confident things will change because he said the spirit within the squad was still strong, and he said he was proud of the effort his players put in after defender Miguel Vitor was sent off with the score at 1-0.

"Everyone is sad but proud with the way the players tried to turn things around," he said.

"It was not easy from the start. We started very poorly and individual mistakes cost us two goals straight away.

"Then we had to play for 70 minutes with 10 men. We tried to change a few things and we tried to push forward to turn things around but, of course, when you do that you risk conceding more goals.

"But we need to feel proud of how the players worked. People can make mistakes and have a bad day. But, when you see the players working very hard like they did, we have to keep looking forward to change things."

The man is mad! How can he not feel under pressure? 23 goals conceded in 8 games! JOKE

what do you expect him to say??

hes still trying to back his team.. i wouldnt wana see him come out and slate the lads or say he cant handle it himself etc..

How can he say hes not under any pressure? ...almost everyone on here wants him to do one.

We lose to Norwich, then thats the last straw for me.

For me, thats been and gone. Needs to go this week

I think the team will respond positively on Tuesday, only to return to losing ways on Saturday against Scünthorpe.

The term "One step ahead, two back" springs to mind.

In business & football only 2 things count, Time & Money, to be honest how much have we given Sousa of either?

I don't think he's being cocky or anything in any way.

Anyone within the World, a football manager, a pilot, a teacher, anyone, has to have confidence in their ability, otherwise, whats the point in turning up for work?

Anything else he would have said may have had an adverse affect on the team.

I agree. I think we'll find ourselves getting the odd win, everyone getting all excited, then we'll lost the next two. Before we know it we will have a horrible relegation battle ahead.

I'm fooking ashamed of Leicester City right now. Everyone is laughing at us.

To be fair mate, thats only 2 managers that have turned it around. So many managers have been sacked at this time and their team have turned it around, we don't even look like getting a result...but as i say, Norwich on tuesday will be the decider in my eyes. :fc:

There is no more last chances for me, or lets see what happens at the Norwich game or lets give him until xmas. Its done. This guy is not up to the task.

I do take on he has had some bad luck with disallowed goals bad reffing decesions sending offs etc. But thats what happens in football. However, bad planning, inept tactics lack of fitness and preperation eg not knowing enough about the team when he took on the job. Why else would he not pick Andy King at the begining of the season.Surely this guy must of watched videos of us last season looked at team lineups of last season and tactics. How do players like Jack Hobbs look like shadows of the playersthey were from last season?

One thing I did notice from the Pompey game was how deep our back 4 was. You are just inviting the opposition strikers to come at you. This playing from the back does not work with the players we have got. I think the confidence that Morrison and Hobbs had last season has gone, simply because they are being asked to become some sort of Franz Benkenbaur or Alan Hansen over night instead of doing what they do best which is to defend. The fact is our team has not just become shit over night they are good players who are used to playing an aggressive direct football which Nigel Peason drilled into them over his tenure week in week out.

They are simpley not YET able to adapt to Sousa's pass pass pass style. With time and different players im sure Sousa would be able to play and win. But the fact is the next transfer window is 4 months away. Even then it would have to take him the following summer and next season to get him the team he wants playing the Sousa way. The table says we are bottom of the league and have just been thrashed on national tv and been humilated by a team who cannnot even fill all there subs bench because Sousa wants to play his brand of football.

Well Mr Sousa its the results business and the table doesn't lie. We need a new manager who can play the type of football according to the players we have which will achieve the best end product a win. Not play the type of football which suits the manger until that happens I cannot see any progression. Giving Sousa the benefit of the doubt I hope no I plead with him to at least turn it around when we play our local rivals. If were are going to have a god awful season at least we can keep our heads held high against Derby and Forest. I just hope we dont get thrashed by any of them, thats all I can hope for this season.

i am very stressed out also, i reckon hes got 2 games to get at least 4 points, but we need 6!!

i was in nottingham town today shopping, what a wan*hole. seen all the forest fans smirk over their 3-1 win, met a bloke on a train he says hope leicester go down. hahaha, i told him do 1 u to55er

and im sure i seen michael lamey pushing a pram too? whats he doing there?
