Prospero Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 I for one – and it looks like I am the only one – am prepared to accept Sousa’s apology. I am fortunate enough to be able to afford the time and the money to attend all the games, home and away, so I think I am entitled to my opinion, even if all of you disagree with me. I believe he will try his best to put it right and that we will score significant victories over Norwich and S….horpe and then go on to rise up the league. If he is not telling me the truth and we lose tomorrow in an abject fashion again and perform poorly at home on Saturday then I will never believe another word he says and I will throw him to the wolves (or lions?) on Foxes Talk.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Kermorgant scored this weekend.

TheUltimateWinner Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 It took him 3 days to apoligise for being a bad manager, Abit long isnt it considering we wanted answers and not smugness
caz05 Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Who else on FT wants this guy to be banned? Mods, please? Same shit, different day

Fox You Forest Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 He said it during an interview for RL.
Corky Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 A good performance tomorrow night is what we want Paulo, but it's good to read this, cliche or not.
Koke Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Am I the only guy left who is supportive of Sousa?
Wymsey Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Am I the only guy left who is supportive of Sousa? Why do you support him after that thrashing ? (in a nice way)
wurmer Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Am I the only guy left who is supportive of Sousa? No, but you are probably in the minority on here.
Koke Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Why do you support him after that thrashing ? (in a nice way) Because A} I still believe he can turn this crisis around and make us the respectable opposition we are, and B] the alternatives makes me cringe - and when whichever alternative manager is brought in, the fans will get on his back before Christmas if this crisis continues. Just like you don't get anything for being top in September, you also won't get relegated for being in the relegation zone in September.

Agree still thinks he needs more time and would like to see what happens in the next three matches, so I guess I am the only other person supporting Sousa
Wymsey Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Agree still thinks he needs more time and would like to see what happens in the next three matches, so I guess I am the only other person supporting Sousa Agree with you two yes but it would be very seriously likely that Sousa would be ousted if we were terrible like a team against S****horpe. I am just dreading this week.
Prospero Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 No Kareem Abdul-Jabbar you are not alone. I support giving Sousa enough time to improve the situation. At present this is I think the best option. If tomorrow's result and performance and those on Saturday are poor I will find it more difficult to maintain the support.
Ric Flair Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Because A} I still believe he can turn this crisis around and make us the respectable opposition we are, and B] the alternatives makes me cringe - and when whichever alternative manager is brought in, the fans will get on his back before Christmas if this crisis continues. I usually share similar views to you on your footballing opinion but I cannot here. Anybody who can point to any sort of positves as to what Sousa is trying to achieve here must be temporarily insane. There aren't any, and this passing possession football is a myth an'all. We have barely dominated play in any of our games this season bar Coventry away, which we did exactly the same las season and in segments of the Cardiff game but we even sat back towards the end of that like the Leicester of old. He's made us a defensive shambles, so I suppose if that's part of his masterplan then he's succeeding. There are simply no grounds to give this man time, not one glimmer of light. Not one accolade in his day to day running of this club so far, as an employer of his you've no choice but to move him on.
Lillehamring Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Am I the only guy left who is supportive of Sousa? i feel like his biggest fan at the moment, his record is 4-2-5, but some people can´t see beyond the last performance. personally, i´d like to see morrison apologies for starting the collapse by stupidly giving away a peno, i´d like to see matt oakley apologise for failing to motivate the players on the pitch. oakley is the club captain but never steps forward to act out this roll, at times like this you need the players to be accountable, whatever sousa contributed to our performance on friday, the players need to be accountable for their significant contribution. when we lost 5-1 to forest, it was the players i blamed, not the manager - why is this game any different.

Agreed after winning on the Tuesday Sousa took a risk and stuck with Vitor and Morrison yet brought back Oakley. Oakley was crap and Morrison and Vitor plotted the teams downfall. Personally they should feel shockingly as football is a results business and they are helping put Sousa out of a job, after he put his faith in them.
FoxyPV Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 It would be completely stupid to sack him this early in the season. It would create even more instability as the players won't know if they are coming or going. I blame the players at the moment although some of PS's decisions haven;t helped.

Seems every player we got is doing shit at the moment apart from Bruno, Abe, Howard and Hobbs. This will be be virtually do or die for the club in terms of what it can do this season.
STUHILL Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Hmm... tough one! At the moment, we look poor and the early signs of promise are dwindling fast! For me, it depends on how we respond tomorrow night. We need a performance!!! A win or at very least a draw. We have the players to do it. There really are no excuses from this point on. He has had adequate time to assemble a team that is capable of much higher than bottom! Yes, we have dominated some games, had bad decisions plus taken time to gel BUT even with all that, we should not be bottom. It's time for Sousa to step up and turn things round in the next 2-3 games. I believe he will be working his socks off to try and achieve this and I just hope ALL the players are too! The alternative is to sack him now and start again with another manager. He will have time to turn our season round but it won't be easy and it worries me who would actually take this job and whether they would be any better. So, for me. I am with Sousa certainly over the next two games and then depending on performance and results (4 points minimum plz) I will change that support if I need to.
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Sousa needs more time to sort this out. Judge him on the reaction tomorrow night and then see what happens against tin-pot S****horpe. We can all give an opinion based on one bad result and give equally farcical comments off the back of it such as losing the dressing room and so on. The reaction of the team tomorrow night will go a long way in judging his ability as a manager, a manager with a bit of backbone who can stand up to adversity when it is staring him right in the face and do something about it. Until then, back off people. Criticising him will do no-one any favours. He has been extremely unlucky so far this season. If there were an award for the manager of the month who has had the most decisions go against him, Sousa would be top of the list. As for players and their respective positions in the team, we've had people calling for Morrison at CB instead of Moreno who can't head a ball apparently. We've all seen the result of that tactical switch. Total disaster. Perhaps we should all stop trying to be tactical geniuses and let him sort it out.
buzzy Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 at last a decent blog with alot of common sence spoken
