cambridgefox Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 If Portsmouth go into liquidation, what happens about the points others gained from them ,and the goals scored against us?
Man Of Faith Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 IF it happens we gain 3 points and the teams that beat them would lose 3 points, as if the game never happened!!!
The Doctor Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 look in the topic in general sport - just here
Webbo Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 IF it happens we gain 3 points and the teams that beat them would lose 3 points, as if the game never happened!!! Why would we?
cambridgefox Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 IF it happens we gain 3 points and the teams that beat them would lose 3 points, as if the game never happened!!! Thanks for the quick response,it doesnt look good for them, and although the points would be welcome,No way would i want that, at the expense of a fellow football club.
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 IF it happens we gain 3 points and the teams that beat them would lose 3 points, as if the game never happened!!! we dont gain points the only thing that will change to us is they will knock 6goals of our GA and knock 1 of GF it would be sad for this to happen to any team though
cambridgefox Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 look in the topic in general sport - just here That will teach me to post without reading other topics.I feel such a fool! close the thread this instant and give me a minus 10!
The Doctor Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 Thanks for the quick response,it doesnt look good for them, and although the points would be welcome,No way would i want that, at the expense of a fellow football club. we wouldn't get any points, the teams that beat them/drew with them would just lose the points won against portsmouth. All we'd get would be +5 in our GD.
Spencer Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 Hopefully I haven't cocked it up too much, looks good for city though
FrankieADZ Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 got to feel for the pompey fans..... Also all them players gonna be without a club too. hope something pops up for them
Disco Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 It would be a sad day for football It would be a sad day for football
paddy Agyemang Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 call it a sad day if u like but it swings in leicester's favour therefore i couldnt give a toss about pompey
Smudge Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 Hopefully I haven't cocked it up too much, looks good for city though Looks like the same as mine I assume only two teams are relegated if this happens.
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 call it a sad day if u like but it swings in leicester's favour therefore i couldnt give a toss about pompey Hardly!!
STUHILL Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 I'm more interested in some of their players we could steal!! Don't want them to go out of business though. No fans deserve that!! I still don't think they will but you never know
Guest Bilo Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 AFC Portsmouth in the Blue Square South then. Terrible if this happens, football will eat itself and Pompey look to be the first casualties.
The Doctor Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 AFC Portsmouth in the Blue Square South then. Terrible if this happens, football will eat itself and Pompey look to be the first casualties. they'll start lower down than that, probably ryman league at the highest
Spiritwalker Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 Will not happen, just a game of bluff and counter bluff with their ex owner.
Philbert Fox Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 Its not good, even know I don't support them, noone wants to see a club die, its such a shame, if they do go under fifa are seriously going to have to do something regarding the financial of the game, its wrong that a club has to take massive financial risks such as Portsmouth to compete.
Wymsey Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 It makes our club really lucky considering the debt levels we had in the past.
Karljohn Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 Don't want them to go out of business though. No fans deserve that!! Not even that annoying twat with the bell?
Guest Bilo Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 they'll start lower down than that, probably ryman league at the highest I think the rules say that any Phoenix club must start a minimum of three divisions below the division the original club was in, under those circumstances the highest they could enter would be BSP. They would be within their rights to enter the BSS therefore. It just depends on where the relevant authorities would be prepared to admit them, I admit the Ryman looks more likely though. I'm not sure what would happen to Fratton Park either, Gaydamak may still own the land on which it stands or the liquidators may seize it to pay off the debts. If that happened, they'd probably end up somewhere like Havant & Waterlooville until the new club could afford a ground of its own.
Tommeh Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 What amazing supporter cohesion we have in this country. A club about to lose 100+ years of history, many fans about to lose a huge part of their lives and all we care about is chalking off a 6-1 defeat. Utter bollocks.
1964FOX Posted 22 October 2010 Posted 22 October 2010 Would hate to see this happen, their fans must be hating it. This is a consequence of the greedy bastards that are coming into football to make money and have know genuine support of the club. SKY also needto take some of the blame. No Al Calcio Moderno
