The UK would be wise to copy that idea!

The UK would be wise to copy that idea! some of the pavements in oslo seem to have underfloor heating. as far as the roads not being gritted, this is true, but it is because legally you have to use spiked tires so they just plough it down to a hard layer of snow, which is ok to drive on with the spikes. and on the main roads this is soon worn down to the road surface. grit causes slush, which freezes and causes ice.
