Great midfield player & scores a fair amount of goals, some of them absolute crackers! The most painful thing is that he plays for the sheep shaggers.........disgraceful!!! What chance of getting David Bentley, Robbie Keane? c'mon Sven do your thing! Lee Hughes? I don't particularly like the guy, but he knows where the net is. A poacher, which we haven't had since Tony Cottee. Everyone knows we need a younger version of Steve Howard, but who & where is he?

Been accused of having a bit of a poor attitude, likes a night out, but a player in his type of mould could really help our midfield where options sometimes look a bit limited. Can hit a ball, too.

True but for what he would cost I don't really think he is worth the risk. He is still only really proven at league one level and I don't rate him as being that much better than fryatt. Besides who knows..Vassel could be coming into the second wind of all second winds and rip the championship apart (unlikely i know). For the money there must be someone better or a safer bet out there. Having said that this is where I come unstuck because I am fresh out of realistic ideas. Despite his horrible miss against Chelsea I think I would still prefer Roberts over Beckford but still that wouldn't be a signing that would light up my life. Hard to please aren't I?

I was actually thinking more onloan until January. Beckford is so overated. I would say that DJ Cambell is better than him and he is shit you could of chosen just about any othert stiker in the world to compare him to and i would of taken you seriously....
