Edmund Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Kazenga LuaLua - His loan deal at brighton expires in January.
Messi Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 A player from Birmingham, who might not be Birmingham, who's bigger than Davies and Naughton.
!-LCFC-! Posted 27 October 2010 Author Posted 27 October 2010 since i heard that sven was in charge i have known that he would get in some well heard of players..so i was thinking of players more like Frederik ljungberg, Roque Santa Cruz, Patrick viera
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Iniesta or Ozil. We need a decent midfield player. I'm sure these two are worth a punt. Do I detect a hint of.... Yes.
darko2k7 Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Just a few i can think of that might be possible Wojciech Szczesny ( GK) Ben Amos (GK) Ross Turnbull (GK) David Stockdale (GK) Stuart Taylor (GK) Carlo Cudicini (GK) Steven Taylor( DC ) Anton Ferdinand (DC) J Bruma (DC) Adam Hammill ( RW ) Denilson ( Arsenal) (DM) Barry Ferguson (MC) David Dunn (MC) Boudewijn Zenden (?) Giovani dos Santos ( RW/LW / ST ) Jamie O'Hara ( MC) Michel Johnson (MC) Jason Roberts (ST) Kevin Phillips (ST) Victor Anichebe (ST) Eddie Johnson (ST) Peter Lovenkrands (ST) Roque Santa Cruz (ST) Simon Cox (ST) Zavon Hines (ST)
Asherz Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 stuart taylor , steven taylor , ferdinand , dos santos, santa cruz sure fire hits in this league... been a fair few years since dos santos was at ipswich and came on along way! played every game for mexico in wc looks a nippy talented player imo former barca youth aswell so carnt be that bad... better than what we have anyway
Jackirius Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Could you not use another of the various threads in circulation about signings.
Donut Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 I dont think its an area of weakness but Stringer seems to think a keepers coming in, so id be looking at Szczesny from Arsenal, maybe Kirkland, Ross Turnbull? Stuart Taylor? Centre Back Im thinking maybe Bruma from Chelsea, Steven Taylor, or extend Davies loan for the season Right Back Try and keep Naughton until the end of the season, if not, maybe Kadar from Newcastle on loan, maybe Jlloyd Samuel? Right Midfield I love Chris Eagles, he can play on either side, maybe if the money was right? Dos Santos was on loan at Ipswich for a while and he has quality, Andy Reid??? seems well out of favour up at Sunderland, and im loving Mark Albrighton, could there be a deal there? Centre Midfield Jamie O'Hara, wheres the gone? genuine quality for me. Michael Johnson, Someone like David Meyler from Sunderland could give us a bit of steel, Maybe bring Kyle Broadfoot down from Scotland? Strikers Difficult. Anichebe would be a good shout, Keane is nowhere at Spurs but doubtful, could we maybe get Michael Antoine-Courier on a free? scored lots of goals in the SPL for Dundee (but we know about our record with SPL players)........Maybe Sven is looking more 'high profile' but i really like Lee Barnard from Southampton, hes a natural goalscorer

Guy Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 It's getting tiring trying to keep up with everything now! I just wish we could keep a settled team (very much like Pearson managed to last season) and push on up the table with minimal distraction!!
MPH Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 For what its worth... Doncaster just lost billy sharp to injury - their record signing and have mentioned they will have the money to replace him for the ten or so weeks he is out with injury.. sounds like an opportunity for Fryatt to get regular games and match fitness to me...
jimmy7587 Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 I've gone for realistic signings (IMO). Keepers Stuart Taylor, Chris Kirkland, Kasper Schmeichel Defender Davies (Perm), Naughton (Perm), Midfielder Taarapt, Ambrose, Danns, Cleverley, Eagles Strikers Roberts, Cox, Jermaine Beckford
Petchy Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Well, It definitely won't be Owen... MICHAEL OWEN may quit football if Manchester United release him at the end of this season.Owen, 30, is in the final season of a two-year deal and there have been no talks with boss Alex Ferguson about a possible extension. He said: "I would honestly love to stay but you will have to ask the manager about the long term. "I could score at this level for many years and would love it to be at a top club like United. "Whether I would want to be dropping down to a poorer Premier League team, I don't know. "Yes I could score goals but I would probably get less opportunities and less enjoyment. "I just don't feel my game is suited to a team that is really struggling. I won't drop down leagues." Owen is clearly still scarred from his time at a crisis-hit Newcastle. He added: "I have played in big teams before and played every game and I have played in a struggling team. I know which I prefer. "When you play here, you play with quality." Owen's switch to United in July 2009 revived him but he has been restricted to 14 starts, scoring 12 goals. Injuries have hampered him too and a fresh hamstring tweak will keep him out for another month. Owen said: "I was fit for most of last season but got the injury in the Carling Cup final. "I'd like to play as much this season but this injury has been a kick in the teeth." muzzieizzet Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Eagles is a good shout, Chris Kirkland or Kasper Schmeichel would be great, think Kasper just signed a new deal though so it might be the ugly one we have to make do with. Michael Johnson would be another great addition from Man City Juan Pablo Angel ....... a name i haven't heard for a while, still at New York Red Bulls I think and not doing to badly, New York or Leicester??? I know where i'd rather be but i doubt he'd want to leave the twinkies an cornbread...
drc Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Kelvin Etuhu playiing winger or upfront would be a good signing.
milsey Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 if we're after a keeper i reckon Brad Guzan at villa would be quality. Also another villa player would be Steve Sidwell.........quality midfielder!! As for a striker, hows about Danny Welbeck from Man United?tipped for stardom by Fergie!
fox123 Posted 28 October 2010 Posted 28 October 2010 Kelvin Etuhu playiing winger or upfront would be a good signing. He hardly set the World alight on his last loan spell with us. No thanks.
