ScouseFox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Need to make this a big partnership, can't lose any more than one wicket before the close really.
ScouseFox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Well this is going well. Siddle ripping through them.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Bloody Ripper Siddle my man HAT - TRICK on hisbloody birthday
ScouseFox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Good 50 from Bell, need to push on, if we get 280-300+ we've got out of jail. Ahh, then again...
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Haddin dropped one he should of taken for Siddles 7th. Siddle is on fire
Fox You Forest Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Bell looks confident, shame nobody had been able to stay with him.
ScouseFox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Ponting's backed right off, strange with Siddle so confident.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Ponting's backed right off, strange with Siddle so confident. Yeah strange descion i would prefer to see Bell having a to hit over the infeild
ScouseFox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 There's your reason he covered the boundary I guess. Few more of them from Bell, hit 300 and it's game on
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Bell batted well. Glad to see X get a wicket thought he bowled pretty well on debut
ScouseFox Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Nice delivery to finish off the innings, bowled well did the Aussies.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 All out for 260 Siddle the star and all the better because he was considered lucky to be in the team
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 I'm super pleased with the days play, certaintly surpased my expectations only disappointing aspect was Johnsons bowling
Finnegan Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Jesus Christ, a hat-trick? That's when you know you've been proper fucked.
Alexikokopops Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 I've found this article by Barney Ronay from the last Ashes series about how he'd like Siddle to be his friend. "Peter Siddle is a throwback to the mid-1980s, when all Australian fast-bowlers looked as though they might smell of scotch egg" Also, quite a good live cricket scoreboard from the Sydney Morning Herald. I'm finding all this through here, which is quite handy for keeping up to date with all things Ashes.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Well that was a great start. I am just hoping to avoid the white wash.
Edmund Posted 25 November 2010 Author Posted 25 November 2010 Wasn't expecting we'd even reach 260, so pleasantly surprised as when I went to bed the upside down men had just taken the first wicket for nought Nightmare start!! Not looking forward to watching the highlights.
Brainy Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 my excitement for this has been totally drowned out
Corky Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 Watched the first four overs, couldn't believe Strauss got out to a ball he normally hits to the boundary. We're on the back foot currently but a couple of early wickets will boost our confidence. Very well done to Siddle for his hat-trick. Still optimistic.
