Mike the Metal Ed Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Precisely my point, which is why stuff like that is sorted by the teachers and not left to the kids so I don't get Ashley's point. Because it's a reasonable request denied by an overly litigious society, making life more difficult for those of us with a modicum of sense, because some opportunist wankers see an accident as a source of free money.
MC Prussian Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Uh oh. I just realized my matchday tickets aren't fireproof. Where can I get a fire certificate? Bramall Lane?

Kilworthfox Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 The Sheff Utd O/S states that Sheffield United F.C will help their fans obtain such certificates as long as their fans take the flags along to their ground for a certificate & then they will forward the certificates to the appropriate person at LCFC. I wonder if such a facility exists at LCFC for home fans to do this? Or is this another brainwave by Barclay to stop anything which may be deemed as matchday experience from occuring? I wonder if the LCFC flags that one can pruchase in the club shop will come with a fire certificate? P.S certain members under the employ of LCFC make our club look a fookin joke! This is utterly incomprehensibly stupid!

It's the courts' fault rather than the opportunist wankers to be fair.
Guest Bilo Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Bollocks. Just checked my clothes and they say Keep Away From Fire. I'll never get a fire safety certificate for them. Wednesday will have to be my Nude Day.
Tilley Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 So we've established that Alex's ticket and Bilo's clothes are flammable, anyone else want to make a similarly poor joke?
Guest Bilo Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 The judgement of the person who made this ruling is a joke that has long since ceased to be amusing if that helps.
AndyBrew Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 everytime I lose complete love for my club, they do something to make me laugh so much, I can't help but love them again
MC Prussian Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 So we've established that Alex's ticket and Bilo's clothes are flammable, anyone else want to make a similarly poor joke? Well, for a start it would help if you'd actually made an effort to come up with one.
Tilley Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Well, for a start it would help if you'd actually made an effort to come up with one. Why would I do that though? The club don't want flags without fire certificates, fair enough.
Guest Bilo Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 I honestly don't know this is allowed. How there has never been a disaster is anyone's guess. Seriously though, why are flags considered safe at Anfield but dangerous here? What exactly is the difference?
Finnegan Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 GUISE MY HAIR IS FLAMBLE I CNT GO 2 DA FOOTBALL ROFL (For Tilley.)
Tilley Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010  I hope you have a fire safety certificate for your hair Finners.
Jimmy Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 I honestly don't know this is allowed. How there has never been a disaster is anyone's guess. Seriously though, why are flags considered safe at Anfield but dangerous here? What exactly is the difference? their club really does have a close relationship with their fans, ours don't
AndyBrew Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Why would I do that though? because normal people think its slightly wrong
harpendenfox Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 what if the microwave heating my pie explodes? What if I explode eating my microwaved pie? What if a terrorist walks into the ground with a bomb in his/her pocket/bag, sets it off and kills us all? There is only thing for it. Ban everything for ever, and we'll just have to settle for simulated football.
Kitchandro Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 I honestly don't know this is allowed. How there has never been a disaster is anyone's guess. Seriously though, why are flags considered safe at Anfield but dangerous here? What exactly is the difference? Well the way I see it is if Liverpool fans can be trusted anyone can! They are safe, that's the point. What a great image that is BTW. That is the kind of support we should be having, if it was allowed. The club is committing suicide by killing the atmosphere - it makes such a difference.

Kitchandro Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Are you planning on taking your microwave to the Walkers Stadium? I presume not, so what a stupid thing to say. You're telling me microwaves are banned too now?!
Tilley Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Just one point, even if the club allowed us to take whatever the hell we wanted into the ground, our Kop wouldn't ever look like that so it's abit of a daft comparison to be making.
1964FOX Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 This is strange because Sheffield Wednesday can't issue fire safety certificates. The material has to be tested by a company who have the specialist equipment to do so. Thsi is just clever way for the away club to say yes our fans flags have been checked and are ok. Its quite obvious that a flaw in banning us from having flags is the fact that away fans bring them in, this gets round it because the away club pre-authorises them and our club will believe their judgement. I have researched this issue and checked with the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service who told me flags would only require safety certificates if they were stored at the stadium overnight. In fairness I do beleive there should be some form of checks made as large combustable items potentially could be dangerous, I would not like to be under a 'surfing flag' that does not have a certificate. However there should also be common sense. It's also quite hard to buy a flag that comes with a safety certificate without paying a lot of money so this makes one of banners out of the question. I have spoken to Kevin Barclay and I have sourced some material he is happy for us to use to make our flags so they will be making a return to The Walkers soon.
