MC Prussian Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Just one point, even if the club allowed us to take whatever the hell we wanted into the ground, our Kop wouldn't ever look like that so it's abit of a daft comparison to be making. Yeah, but it's not about replicating the exact same feel, it's about increasing the atmosphere. At least let them try.
harpendenfox Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Are you planning on taking your microwave to the Walkers Stadium? I presume not, so what a stupid thing to say. you know, the thingies that heat up our half time pies...... But thank you anyway for your charming comment
Guest Bilo Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Any reason why it couldn't look like this? This is at Crystal Palace, they're in the same division and arguably have a smaller fanbase.
Samilktray Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Why do you lot still bite for that WUM Tilley? Eeeediots.
Kitchandro Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Because it wouldn't. We all know it wouldn't. It could if we used yet more common sense, and the stewards let people stand up. It would also be nice if they told people who want to sit down to go in the West Stand or the Family Stand, instead of sitting in the Kop or East Stand and complaining about people standing and singing.

Setting your sights too low mate we can do better than that once we get the poles we have been promised. Not meant as disrespect to Palace either what they have done is amazing.

No I agree we can be bigger and better if we play our cards right, just looking for something that was a bit more realistic in the short-term than Anfield on a big European night. Though the HF are undoubtedly the benchmark of Ultra groups in England right now, nothing but respect for what those lads have achieved.
Tilley Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Yeah, but it's not about replicating the exact same feel, it's about increasing the atmosphere. At least let them try. Well people post pictures of Liverpool, York and Poznan every week. The Walkers never has and never will be like that. It could if we used yet more common sense, and the stewards let people stand up. It would also be nice if they told people who want to sit down to go in the West Stand or the Family Stand, instead of sitting in the Kop or East Stand and complaining about people standing and singing. Why should people who want to sit down be forced to one area of the stadium?
MC Prussian Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Does Kevin Barclay have kids in Tilley's age?
Tilley Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Common sense must come with being in my age bracket. Remind me of when The Walkers has even so much as resembled the Kop at Anfield and I won't post on here ever again.
Houdini Logic Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 So we've established that Alex's ticket and Bilo's clothes are flammable, anyone else want to make a similarly poor joke? At least they're only guilty of one poor joke each. I think we got your point/stance the first time

What about people who want to sit down and sing?
AndyBrew Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Common sense must come with being in my age bracket. Remind me of when The Walkers has even so much as resembled the Kop at Anfield and I won't post on here ever again. to be fair this is a good point!
Houdini Logic Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 What about people who want to sit down and sing? will they have a flag or a microwave?
Kitchandro Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Well people post pictures of Liverpool, York and Poznan every week. The Walkers never has and never will be like that. Why should people who want to sit down be forced to one area of the stadium? Why not? They aint supporting the team, why do they have a right to dictate how the real fans support their team? It's ok for them, but not for me?
Collymore Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Would it not make more sense to ban lighters, matches, flints etc....
Tilley Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Why not? They aint supporting the team, why do they have a right to dictate how the real fans support their team? It's ok for them, but not for me? You're being serious aren't you? Are you REALLY suggesting we should segregate the stadium into sitting, standing and singing sections? REALLY?
Samilktray Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Whats so exciting about flags anyway, they'd just obstruct your view of the game and generally look ugly.
Corky Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 will they have a flag or a microwave? Quite possibly.
Kitchandro Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Common sense must come with being in my age bracket. Remind me of when The Walkers has even so much as resembled the Kop at Anfield and I won't post on here ever again. So does that mean we shouldn't try? We should accept having a shit atmosphere?
Tilley Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 So does that mean we shouldn't try? We should accept having a shit atmosphere? Yes.
Kitchandro Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 You're being serious aren't you? Are you REALLY suggesting we should segregate the stadium into sitting, standing and singing sections? REALLY? You got any better ideas? I don't see why not, those who want silence and just to see the game can sit one place where they won't be bothered by the noise or obstructed view, and the ones who want to create an atmosphere and support the team can go in another place. It makes sense. Yes. Very poor attitude.
Tilley Posted 8 November 2010 Posted 8 November 2010 Well it doesn't for those that have occupied certain seats since the stadium was opened. Wouldn't work and will never happen.
