Brainy Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 seriously though im not sure why you're giving it so much thought, if it's that bad go and do something else.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 seriously though im not sure why you're giving it so much thought, if it's that bad go and do something else. It's a forum used for airing opinions. I'm airing mine.
FoxyPV Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 I like having a big E-penis It's no use to the mrs though
stez Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Aw! It's years since i've seen e-penis' mentioned. It's always nice to see one.
Jon the Hat Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 It's a forum used for airing opinions. I'm airing mine. You've got a point there.
AoWW Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 I see what you mean. I'm still fairly new to the forum, well compared to other people. I do think this forum has picked up alot of the younger generation. I'm a teenager myself, and yeah I'll admit, I've sometimes been a cnut on here, but it seems Foxestalk has changed since when I first started posting. I used to enjoy reading Daggers's posts and his piss taking, Schrenchel used to be my favourite, but it seems as if he's not posting anymore. Lisa's disappeared as has Ched, probably two of the best posters on here. It seems instead of reading intresting fun threads, I'm finding myself reading thousands of threads being made about 'possible' transfer targets, How we want Gradel back, and how generally people are looking back in the past. I do think though, posters like Bilo, Webbo, LD3, MPH, lcfc30STM, FoxyPV ,Finnegan have probably stepped into the shoes of the best posters on here. You can't knock the younger generation, as I said earlier I'm a teenager, and there are some quality posters on here around my age, (Samjohnson JCN20 is it?). Just maybe a little education into how and when to start topics. That's one of the main reasons in why FT has gone abit downhill for me, the constant pointless threads saying exactly the same thing. But where ever you go, Your going to get people who 'want the limelight' and want to be the best. (Im banging on about the rep system) Amen to this.
Webbo Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Aw! It's years since i've seen e-penis' mentioned. It's always nice to see one. I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
Wymsey Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Ever since i first used this forum, this forum went has kinda gone i presume 'downhill' with certain arsers saying i am chatting shite and thinking they know better than me. I am here for the long hurl so get worrying people!
stez Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Mine exceeds the maximum jpg size the board allows.
davieG Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 I've never really looked at the ratings and I can only remember adding a couple, why I've got such a high rating I don't know because considering all the posts I make I get very few responses so just assumed I was a boring old fart amongst so many younguns. As for the forum I think it's inevitable that after a period of time it will become boring and samey after all there's not much new in the world or on youtube and most of it has been posted on here, we've had polls that have covered every question you could ask and then again. Although the old days had some excellent stuff there was also some unnecessary animosity and abuse and apparent if not actual cliquishness and for every laugh I had there was something that made me think why should I bother with this nasty shit. Well there's now less laughs but also less nastiness.
StanSP Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Mine exceeds the maximum jpg size the board allows. I think TINYpic might be useful for you, in my humble opinion

Agree with this, pretty much how I feel.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 I can't believe people are so unhappy when there's a lovely royal wedding to look forward to
StanSP Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Biscuit Wars was the shizz. I seem to remember my brother being involved in a fairly excitable 'Sheds' thread too Wasn't there a Cheese thread too?
Brainy Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 It's a forum used for airing opinions. I'm airing mine. Thats great but how do you think that'll change how exciting the forum gets? In terms on the internet its just natural progression.
AoWW Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 I seem to remember my brother being involved in a fairly excitable 'Sheds' thread too And then there was the Cheese thread. I'm sure 'kokopops promised to get me some Dambuster cheese when he was next it Lincoln. I'm still waiting. He lied.
StanSP Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Thats great but how do you think that'll change how exciting the forum gets? In terms on the internet its just natural progression. Well it's sparking conversation, no? That's what a forum is about isn't it? I'm sure 'kokopops promised to get me some Dambuster cheese when he was next it Lincoln. I'm still waiting. He lied. Keep pestering. He's bound to give in sometime!
stez Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 A) I shall seek out tinypic and decide whether i'm offended or not. ;-) And B) why the hell has no one told me about a, so called, royal wedding? I've heard nothing!
davieG Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 I'm sure 'kokopops promised to get me some Dambuster cheese when he was next it Lincoln. I'm still waiting. He lied. It's hard to get hold of when it's bouncing all over the place.

Well there's now less laughs but also less nastiness. Fair points there mate. The animosity from the outside looking in was hilarious but I wouldn't have wanted to be one of the lads on the receiving end of some of the abuse on the old threads. I prefer laughs and witty banter myself though and that does seem to have been a casualty of the culture of less nastiness and erosion of perceived cliques. Biscuit Wars was the shizz. Brilliant thread. Face of Kinder takes the prize though. Whatever happened to Smuts as well? Another hilarious poster who barely seems to post these days.
Brainy Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Well it's sparking conversation, no? That's what a forum is about isn't it? By this time tomorrow this thread will have 10+ pages and will most likely be full of shit.
Simi Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 For me, it isn't the same as it used to be. I don't have the time I used to have to post on here anymore but when I do come to post it seems most of the threads have either derailed into an argument about nothing in particular. Or someone has made a comment and everyone else has agreed with it and there is no source for debate. I've met a hell of a lot of great people through this forum that I still see on a weekly basis, Tommeh, Maybes, Wilkesey, Wils and so on. I think as some have mentioned the loss of some of the core of posters that made it as good as it was in 08 has hurt the site a bit. I guess that forums go through changes of the top posters and if I look at the site now I can't really tell who they are apart from the obvious 'old guard'. If people aren't enjoying the forum that much I can only encourage them to meet as many people from the forum as you can. I've met a shed load of people from here and I think it only improves discussion on the forum as you know where you stand with people and how can you banter with them etc without abusing them.
