dannythefox Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 We dont need him, down the wings is not the problem we need a STRIKER! We dont want to be paying stupid money for blokes of 30+ we want young lads who will stay and do well for us how many times do people need to say this.
Thracian Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 I'm wondering if I've perhaps sold Sven short and if it could be a masterstroke (no pun intended). Leicester have long had a cracking female following and Freddie was nominated in 1998 as Sexiest Man in the World !. Anyway I've just come across these photos which - as a modelling portfolio - would surely increase the female following and that in itself would surely not go unappreciated by a manager renowned for his appreciation of the fairer sex. In fact there's a good few guys on here might fancy a Llungberg calendar as well from what I've read. http://www.google.co.uk/images?rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&rlz=1I7ADFA_en&redir_esc=&q=freddie+ljungberg&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=HOsETb3YN8SChQetl5XtBw&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=2&ved=0CDkQsAQwAQ&biw=1003&bih=567 Go for it Sven. And what's David Ginola doing while you're looking for a bit of glamour! http://www.google.co.uk/images?q=david+ginola&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&rlz=1I7ADFA_en&redir_esc=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=je4ETarDNsq7hAe1k43tBw&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=2&ved=0CDQQsAQwAQ&biw=1003&bih=567
DB11 Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 DID NO ONE READ MY POST - IT IS NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!! Because what you read (the interview) is always right.
AmyLGK Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Because what you read (the interview) is always right. More so than just making up a rumour that has no source at all!!!
Maybes Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 He was shite when he was at West Ham, although much of that was riddled with injury. Has he still got the legs? . . .probably not.
AmyLGK Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 He is one of the most beautiful men in football!
Father Ted Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Not sure about this at all. Will it sell shirts in Thailand? Yes. Will it put more bums on seats? Possibly. Will it improve the team? Doubt it. We will have to wait and see though.
Thracian Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Has he still got the legs? . . .probably not. Sven's an expert when it comes to legs!
dave the caveman Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Probably a waste of time on the pitch. But might be a good lad to have around in training. He doesn't seem the sort to be disruptive, so if I was Sven i'd be saying ok, whatever you want Mr Moneybags
Sylvie85 Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Not for me. Don't think its the right acquisition for the club.
Yokofoxes Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 But might be a good lad to have around in training. He doesn't seem the sort to be disruptive Yeah, he'd never start a punch up during a training session. What? Oh.....
Daggers Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Because what you read (the interview) is always right. You tell 'em, foxychik
Molson Canadian Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 If it is true it's obviously a short term measure, he might be brought in to act as cover for Yuki Abe who will be gone to the Asian Cup for a little while with Japan. Ljungberg was not that impressive in the MLS, infact he wasn't offered a new contract with Seattle and was passed over by other teams in the waiver draft.
Bettsj2 Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 He'd be an All Our Yesterdays signing typical of the sort Mandaric always seemed obsessed with making. Remember Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink? And how good has he turned out since? To think of us trawling around for fading stars like Llungberg (34 in April) when we could have made a big name of Gradel makes no sense to me. Gradel scored his fourth goal for Leeds in eight games yesterday - and had the potential to do it for years if we'd only appreciated it - while I don't see Llungberg doing anything special other than perhaps short term cos he's currently scoring at half Gradel's rate for Chicago Fire, whoever they are. I think he scored six goals in his last three Premiership seasons in close to 90 matches. Why not bring Peter Shilton back if we're that desperate for someone famous. Perhaps I'll suggest he ring Sven when I next see him in The Quarter. Pearson dropped a right bollock letting Gradel go. That aside, Ljungberg would be excellent. 34 is no age these days and if his much documented injury woes are behind him, he would be just another player of additional quality in the squad to take us up to the premiership. The squad is getting better and better with every player that Sven signs and this would be no exception.
BoneDog Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 He is one of the most beautiful men in football! I agree. He's got super cheekbones and lovely tight buns. Phwoooooooar!
Petchy Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Yeah, he'd never start a punch up during a training session. What? Oh..... I'd of decked Mellberg if he came in that late on me too!
B52 Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 If Ljungberg had a broken pelvis it explains both his short temper some times and a lack of play. I remember how Sven resurrected Hamann at Man City.... And when Sven left Hamann disappeared. If you had a broken pelvis and someone made a real tackle under practise you would be very, very angry.....
ScouseFox Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 & one on each wing, bring the birds to the game if nothing else...
sphericalfox Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Apparently there is a rumour that we are having discussions with Bentley. Poor man's Beckham anyone?
Sylvie85 Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 I'd of decked Mellberg if he came in that late on me too! I thought it was a good challenge!!!!
Collymore Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Talksport sorry Talksport sorry Talksport sorry

sphericalfox Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Sounds like, he is indeed pimping himself out there. Sky this morning, talksport this evening? Do let us know if he's courting Sven
ajthefox Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 hmmm not to sure on this one. It's obviously a short term measure and to be honest that's the last thing we should be doing since we will have money to spend in jan. he might still be able to make a decen contribution though, so if thiscompletely unfounded rumour is true, it could benefit. we'll have to wait and see.
