3-5-2

Weale

Morrison Hobbs Vitor ( :fc: )

Naughton -------------------------------------- Dyer

Wellens Abe

King

Vassell Waghorn

Yeah i quite like the look of that. Nice bit of pace up front between Vassell and Waghorn and on the wings with Naughton and Dyer.

I think Sven would be playing 4-4-2 if he felt he had the personnel to do so, as it has always been his way, but he said we are not physically strong enough in the centre of midfield. One of the big problems playing 4-4-2 is King in my opinion, he needs more freedom which is why 4-5-1 suits him perfectly. The problem is he does go missing in games which can leave us a little bit light. (don't get me wrong i'm not knocking his ability). If we wanted to go 4-4-2 he may need to be left out or change his role slightly, which is not ideal as he provides the goals at the mo.

3-5-2 won't happen as playing a back 3 will make already uncomfortable defenders even more so.

I would stick with the 4-5-1 but go with Vassell through the middle and work the channels. Play Hobbs Right CB as i think that is the reason he has struggled all season as he is not comfortable on the left side CB.

Naughton Hobbs(right CB) Davies Berner

We need to stop the obsession that some ageing celeb-footballer will save our season in a 2 month loan deal

Seriously, we have talented players, lets work with them - No one has ever bought their way out of this division, teams need to be built.

I'd send Kirkland packing as as his loan agreement allows, and either sign a keeper for a few mil who's as good as Fulop was, or publicly back Weale as the #1

I'm also bemused at the signing of Cunningham, we are missing Berner's aerial threat at corners & freekicks, we now need to get Berner to step in against ManCity & we've already pissed him about to the point where he reluctantly wants to leave - these loan signings are turning into a farce given the top5 quality we are proven to have in the squad.

I'd play 4-5-1 away from home (at least for the first 60mins) in an effort to keep things tight and stop shipping goals: Weale - Naughton, Davies, Hobbs, Berner - Mussa, Abe, King, Wellens, Dyer - Waghorn

If we need a goal we can always change it to 4-4-2 or 4-3-3, but at the moment we are finding ourselves 2 or 3 goals down nearly every game before the manager makes a like-for-like swap it's ridiculous how an experienced manager & coach has failed to adapt to stop us shipping goals. Disgraceful in fact!!!

A pal of mine told me that when Wellens plays badly, Leicester play badly. Chicken or egg?

My view is that Wellens ( and Gally ) are 'fair weather' players. They often appear to be well up for it when the team is in control, pushing forward and attacking, and then they both look good. However when we get an opposing team who are ready to fight, close us down and want to compete with us, both Wellens and Gally ( and to an extent Kingy ) go missing and don't want to know. They are lightweight lazy b*sterds when the chips are down. In those games our back four and Uki need assistance - they have to do virtually all the graft to try to stop the opposition from overrunning us. It's not good enough. We desperately need another player like Uki who can battle defensively when required but can also go forward with panache!

Using Andy King moving forward is fine, but we cannot afford two players like Wellens and Gally when we have to battle it out. This probably explains why some Blue Army boys think Wellens is a star and others see him as the lightweight ar*ehole he really is.

The title kind of answers itself - the constant changing needs to change.

We haven't had a steady first eleven all season. Sousa kept messing with the line-up, so does Sven PLUS the addition of loanees. Sure there needs to be competition for places, but players won't improve if they're dropped for every little mistake they make.

Name a team and, barring injury, stick with it for a few games at least Sven!

No one has ever bought their way out of this division??? Blackburn (players like Mike Newell, Chris Price, Colin Hendry all cost money), Leeds (bought in players like Mel Sterland, John Hendrie, Gordon Strachan, Vinnie Jones) and Newcastle (Andy Thorn, Robert Lee and Gavin Peacock) all have spent money to go up in my lifetime.

Hi all

First timer, but bit of an old timer as I was at the match when Leeds came and the Birch scored his only memorable goan, I think he says now it was from 45 yards!!!!. I reckoned it came off his shin and still do.

Problem at the moment is we are not physically strong enough at the back and desperatly need a commading goalkeeper and centre half. Dunne from Villa is available and talk of Given.

I dont know why we should be interested in Emil Heskey, he never scores and when he does its and accident.

I personally think that we need to add some stronger more physical players who don't mind mixing it up when teams come with the intention of playing dirty football. We currently have a team with an above average footballing talent in the side for this division but they aren't aggressive enough and really go missing when teams want to get physical as demonstated against QPR, Sheff Utd (After they went a goal down) and Leeds to name but a few. Unfortunately, the only way you get out of this division is either to match teams physically and bully them off the park, i.e. Wigan 04/05, Sheff Utd 05/06, Watford 05/06, Stoke 07/08, Burnley 08/09, or have players that are of standard far superior to any other team in the league, i.e. Reading 05/06, Sunderland 06/07, Birmingham 06/07, West Brom 07/08, Newcastle 09/10, West Brom 09/10. Too many times this season teams have played Leicester with the intention of imposing their style of football on us and looking to prevent us from playing free flowing football, and all too often we simply allow them to do so.

WE JUST NEED TO TIGHTEN THINGS UP!!!!! Not to let crazy goals be scored against us in the first half of any game (particularly away from home) and when we break we need to break with pace so i suggest starting with players like VASSELL, DYER, MOUSSA etc. Come on the CITY :scarf::chant::scarf:

We have the quality of players to be doing a lot better than we are but there is no consistency, and no team will ever fufill their true potential if they aren't consistent.

If Sven just keeps bringing in loans til the end of the season we will go backwards.

A regular starting 11 who know they are first choice, playing together time and again with a little more desire, determination, communication and togetherness will get us further than any number of individual superstars will.

The above reasons are why teams like blackpool, leeds and us last season do well.

I'd accept this argument against Gally and King but not Wellens. Wellens seems in fact completely the opposite to me, he is the only one who will dig deep when we are playing crap. Take Doncaster the first half, we were shocking and he was the only one who got stuck in and looked like he had any urgency. For me this is why he needs to be captain. King can produce the moments of magic but he can go missing. Even when he himself is playing badly, Wellens will always look up for the fight.

I agree, like I said I think it should be the side that started the second half against Doncaster and ripped it to shreds.

SACK THE SWEDE!

Don't be so daft. Sven is our immediate future. He has the experience and contacts to take us to the next level.

Waggy deserves a chance to show us what he can do.

We need to work towards a 4-4-2 formation again eventually. What I would like to see is confidence being given back to players who need it. Get behind Weale and Hobbs. Give them backing and let them play every week. I think a permanant captain would help. I would like to see Wellens skipper the side and be made club captain.

We also need to get more aggressive become harder to beat waway from home. You can't fault the home matches and the formation with 3 up front works at home. But I would like to see us not roll over as easy away from home. Even if we start just getting a run of draws.

As from the BBC sport website Sven has said that :"We don't talk at all out there - especially when you are defending you have to talk".

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leicester_city/9330814.stm

Surely this would be towards the top of the list to change, communication is what makes 11 individuals a team of players. A strong Captain (i.e. Wellens and another leader/experienced player on the pitch) would clearly sort this out).
