AmyLGK Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I fell over Emile Heskey whilst walking down some steps at Filbert Street in 1998. I'd been for a birthday meal at one of the restaurants there with my grandparents and the entire team were downstairs I believe waiting to go and have their team photo taken (although I'm not sure of that fact as why would that be done in February!?!) He was sitting on the steps and well he's such a big guy I couldn't really avoid him! He was very polite though I was so embarrassed that I ran off into the car park! I didn't speak to a single on of them (well only to say sorry to Heskey)
Darkon84 Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Met Peter Shilton in a car park where he was picking up his nephew, whom i went to school with.. Took the piss out of Mattock in the Fairfield in Glen Parva...he thought he was a bad ass drinking malibu and coke at 17
samjohnson Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 A work colleague of my mother is Emile Heskey's aunt. I was told to stay in school by Dion Dublin. My mother sees Dany N'Guessen on a regular basis dropping his son off at nursery. The guys that delivered our sofa delivered one to Joe Mattock. They asked him who picked the squad (during the 07/08 season) - He said Mandaric. My uncle went to school with Dion Dublin's brother. I went to the same school as Gary Linekar. One of my old teachers is Peter Shilton's something-in-law (i think father) (How many more do you need )
Darkon84 Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 ooooooooh how could i forget, i played at the walkers in the summer (hottest bloody day of the year), Matt Elliott was there running the kids tournament beforehand, and asked if he could play with our team in the match, we said no,
Sylvie85 Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 When I was 10, richard smith and lee philpott came to train my football team, I tried to tackle Richard Smith but subsequently kicked him.
Darkon84 Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 and also, richard smith is a regular at the resataunt/pub i worked at. he brought iwan roberts and then a load of family out for a meal, one of the kids smashed his teeth on the playarea fence, threatened us about sueing, then iwan roberts didnt pay his bill and richard smith had to pay. (he now owns his own skip hire firm BASH skip hire, if anyone needs one )
adam1 Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I once had a kickaround which involved Jamie Lawrence playing in goal. He was on his knees (small 5 aside goal) and we were quite young. No one could score so I told him to stand up to give us a chance. He refused. This was at the Leicester United v City game in Blaby. I think it was 0-6 city?
hairy Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 When I was a kid we would have the Birch round for Sunday dinner (along time ago when he actually played) Dion Dublins brother worked for me and my wife works with his sister Walshy tried to pull my wife
Bellend Sebastian Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 When I was a kid we would have the Birch round for Sunday dinner (along time ago when he actually played) Dion Dublins brother worked for me and my wife works with his sister Walshy tried to pull my wife When we used to go to The Griffin for the pub quiz there, Birch used to call my brother and his two mates Freeman, Hardy and Willis for no reason whatsoever. Oh how I chuckled
syston_fox Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I took a piss next to Brian Deane in the corporate toilets at the Walkers during some random reserve game years ago.
1964FOX Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 An aquiantace of my dad knows Mattock's dad, apparently he's an arse aswell. Yes that is true I knew him as a kid growing up.
1964FOX Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I was playing table tennis a fair few years ago in a league match. One of the other teams players had a young lad acting as ball boy for us. It was our Emile, he had played 2 games for city when it happened.
Kitchandro Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I have a picture with Gallagher on my Facebook to prove mine Me too Actually I was lying. Rofe sold my Dad a freezer, not a fridge.
RGFox Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I met Aman Verma's mum in O'bar a few weeks back! Nice lady, very knowledgeable on footy, she'd just been to watch him play @ Fleetwood as I recall. Does that count?
Kitchandro Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I know it's not a player, but Mandaric threatened legal action against me

SeCrEt FoX Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Met Tony James and got his autograph back in '95 outside my local shop. And Julian Jochim was nobbing some fit bird up the road from my house and one day he was waiting outside her house and i said to my mate ''Theirs Jochim'' and he didnt believe it was him so i plucked up the courage to speak to him.
