Cropwellfox Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Linkage Translated... Eriksson wants Zokora and Boka Reportedly, Sven-Goran Eriksson, the manager of Leicester (English 2nd Division), seeks to recruit Didier Zokora and Arthur Boka before the end of the winter transfer window. Sven-Goran Eriksson, appointed manager of Leicester in early October, was quick to turn all its networks to enhance the English 2nd Division team. The Swedish engineer recruited early in the winter transfer window, an old acquaintance: the central Ivorian defender Souleymane Bamba, who played in the Scottish club Hibernian. A player that Sven-Goran Eriksson has had under his orders last summer during his freelancing as coach of Ivory Coast during the World Cup. Paid as a choice for its first game under its new colors, Souleymane Bamba scored a goal that helped his team win the draw against Manchester City (2-2), in the third round FA Cup. Eriksson will contact Zokora and Boka in the coming hours The Leicester manager also seems particularly fond of the Ivorian industry. Reportedly, Sven-Goran Eriksson would have made two other elephants, priorities recruitment in January. He is the former defensive midfielder for AS Saint-Etienne, Didier Zokora, who plays for Sevilla and Stuttgart left-back Arthur Boka. The Swedish manager is expected in the coming hours to get in touch with both Ivorian international, he knows particularly well, to induce them to join him in England and see the feasibility of transferring this winter.
Jackirius Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Zokora would be decent, Arthur Boka, don't really know him, shoved him in on google and is a left back, looks fairly decent, first picture that came up
Cropwellfox Posted 21 January 2011 Author Posted 21 January 2011 Were signing elephants as defenders now?!?! better than donkeys.... <tumbleweed>
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Doubt we'd get Zokora. I love being linked with these players, and it's easier to ask who are we NOT linked with... here goes... ex-Port Vale duo Robin Van Der Laan and Nico Jalink.
Edmund Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 We'll soon be fielding the Ivory Coast national team. Didier Drogba next please.
Ozwin Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Boka is well good on FM. He's a free I think too. Zakora we've got no chance surely? He's quality.
1991FOX Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Both players are playing regularly for their clubs. I can't see them leaving to come here unless were paying top dollar Would be top quality additions though, especially Zokora with his vast experience and knowledge of the english game
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Both players are playing regularly for their clubs. I can't see them leaving to come here unless were paying top dollar Would be top quality additions though, especially Zokora with his vast experience and knowledge of the english game But I cannot imagine French clubs can pay top whack - I reckon £10/£20,000 a week with an increase if we go up would be temptation enough. The explosure that playing in the English league can give a player and the Sven factor also helps. Game on I say.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Neither of them play in France. Zokora plays in Spain and Boka plays In Germany. Oh balls - former Saint Etienne player! Oooopsey!
shailen Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Zokora is class, skillful, good passer and defensively sound. If we have the chance sign him, its a no brainer
1991FOX Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Zokora - Spain Boka - Germany Zokora at sevilla and they won the coppa del ray last season and qualified for the champions league, will be a massive step down for him but if sven pulls this off then there's no stopping us on the transfer front Boka at Stuttgart, they are struggling this season and maybe a half decent offer will be good enough to entice him away from the german side.
Tommy G Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Own up who's been looking at ivory coast related porn??
ibbosuk Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Would love both of them Yer so would I they look so big and health.....
Narborough_fox Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 If we sign Zokora and Boka I willrun around Leicester nudie! I won't really
WillyP Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 If we signed them two, our team would be hench!! Zokora, Boka, Bamba and Yakubu!!!
Tewy5 Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Sign them both up top quality players for the city
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 I know I've already posted on this topic, but have we really got a 'cat in hells chance' of getting Zokora??
Callabinho Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Boka isn't a bad shout Zokora would be a silly signing he is quality, would that be bye bye 4-3-3 and hello 4-4-2?
dbtcity Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Surely if anything it would make it harder to play a 442 having 4 quality midfielders
