HEGGSY Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 dont know if most of you know, but Moreno is being allowed to go on loan to Tenerife for the rest of the season no link as it was only a small peice in the sun disappointing really as i really wnated him to go altogether along with sousas other shit
The Doctor Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 he signed in the summer so we can only loan him out anyway.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 thank god the squad is getting smaller though without any major replacments coming in
Edmund Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 What the fuck's happened to Tenerife? They used to be a regular in La Liga not so long ago.
The Doctor Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 could barcelona/villarreals b team actually get promoted to the same division as the first team or would they have to stay in the second tier?
Edmund Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 could barcelona/villarreals b team actually get promoted to the same division as the first team or would they have to stay in the second tier? I'm pretty sure they can't be in the same league. If Barcelona got relegated then the B team would get relegated as well regardless of position. (I think) What happens if Barcelona B get into the playoffs I'm not sure. Maybe the next team outside the playoffs gets that place.
Far Post Gerry Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 What an utterly shit system. Doesn't Spain have a wealth of historic, passionate, yet ultimately pointless small town clubs to fill their lower leagues? Where's your Rhonda Rovers or Torremolinos Argyles? Rubbish. Best league in the world my arse.
leicester4life Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 I wouldn't mind going on loan to Tenerife for a fortnight.
Jimbo Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 When you see other countries lower divisions it makes you feel blessed that our lower leagues are much better equipped. I've been to Tenerife a few times, the stadium is half decent. No real facilities inside the ground, yellow patches of grass on the pitch etc The worst thing though is the lack of away fans! Obviously due to where Tenerife is it's a little hard to travel to an away game there (unless it's against bitter rivals Las Palmas from Gran Canaria) I went once when they played Celta Vigo and there was literally 5 Celta fans there. I always think of them as quite similar to Leicester at times though, in terms of form. They were a decent enough force in La Liga in the not too distant past. Then they got relegated and didn't do much for years, just bummed around the Spanish 2nd division. Until they got promoted again for a 1 season tour of La Liga last season.

The size of the country obviously has a big affect on the travelling support, but apparently the home sides dont really give away many away tickets, only a couple of hundred. ie, at a Barca-Real match, I believe the away team were only given 500 tickets, so that it makes the stadium more threatening to the away team...kinda makes sense in a away, but still stupid.
lee(lcfc) Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 I wouldn't mind going on loan to Tenerife for a fortnight. sorry your a key first team player you have to stay here

Not my experience at all, seen 'el clasico' several times, mostly in Madrid but once in Barcalona, plenty of away fans on each occassion though more scattered than is the case in the UK. Ticket prices for non ST/club members are pretty outrageous though. Tried watching Malaga once or twice, plenty of Brits go to watch a bit of live footy, only time you see away fans in any numbers are the games against Real and Barca, or of course the 'derby' with Seville. That said Malaga are pretty poor and the crowds are pretty piss poor for most games, even in La Liga.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 dont know if most of you know, but Moreno is being allowed to go on holiday to Tenerife for the rest of the season as he's missing the sunny weather You sure it wasn't this?
nickelbyfox Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Played in the reserve game today so is not in Tenerife, at least not yet
Samilktray Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Had a soft spot for Tenerife since I visited there ground on holiday once. Not sure why this is relevant.
Alexikokopops Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 he signed in the summer so we can only loan him out anyway. It depends, did he play for whoever we signed him from before we actually signed him?
The Doctor Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 It depends, did he play for whoever we signed him from before we actually signed him? i doubt it but i'm pretty sure the no more than two clubs in a year is within 12 months rather than a season and i think he played for them at the end of last season.
Jacnah Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 thank god the squad is getting smaller though without any major replacments coming in are you on drugs?

I always thought it was that they couldn't play for more than two clubs (permanently) in a season. Who knows, ey?
Fox Genius Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 He played for the reserves last night: http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2276390,00.html
bald reynard Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 He played for the reserves last night: http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2276390,00.html A pretty strong City team. I wonder how many of them will be on their way in the next few days - Moreno and Waggie we've heard about; but, Logan, Crncic, Lamey, Neilson (it could be, that this match was intended to be their 'farewell game' !) ? I wonder if O'Neill, Moussa and Parkes were in the 'shop window' for a loan somewhere ? Shame about Sven already saying he won't sign Brandy - it sounded like he had a good game - as did Norales (but do we need ANOTHER Centre Back, IF we sign Davies ?). I guess the fact that N'Guessan wasn't playing, could mean that his move out is already sorted ?
