Patrick Van Aanholt

OK, I kind of take that back because that was sort of a rude comment and I can understand why Bert wouldn't want to be the one starting threads about transfer gossip--and because that Eriksson quote could have been plucked by the Mirror from a completely different context but been made to seem like it was about a van Aanholt deal. But I still think a lot of it is silly considering that there have been many rumors of transfers, free transfers and loans lately that have actually had something going behind them but have fallen in the home stretch.

once again sven shows he means business, these 2 are quality additions, naughton on righ van aanholt on left pace decent crosses and premiership quality........

Van Aanholt AND Davies too?

Surely one of the best squads in the division?

Kind of helps if you are pushing for promotion!...

Unfortunately their fortune is a mere pittance in The Premier, unless of course we have hidden backing.

I'm sure we will have some sort of backing, bear in mind we aren't owned by the Raksriaksorns, but we are owned 80% by Asian Football Investments and 20% by Cronus something, which hints that there are others in the frame... Also i doubt only being worth £200million they would be able to invest this much money with such ease into a football club.

Should be a great signing. Dont know why everyone is saying bye bye Hobbs and Berner, we'll still need them. They are very adequate back up players and our bench looks awful, are squad is lacking depth.

Logan, Hobbs, Berner, Dyer, Waggy Doesn't look too bad to me at all. If Waggy goes though I would like to see someone else come in as Howard hasn't looked like making much of an impact recently

Who needs wingers when you've got full backs like van aanhault and naughton

Right--and now I couldn't care less if Leicester don't switch to the 4-4-2 that Sven was hinting at earlier.

I no some newcastle supporter, he said he was good attacking but a bit dodgey defensively, more suited to be a winger apparently

We haven't got him yet.

When Stringer categorically confirms it it's pretty much nailed on you would imagine. Even though it's his personal Twitter account, he's got the reputation of the BBC to worry about as well as himself.

This guy looks like hes got alot of potential, is he capped at under 21 for dutch side ? Wonder if he would give Dyer a competition for getting down the wings after a ball great vid

because of the overlap he should give Dyer the option of cutting in which he's far better at than crossing anyway

In all fairness its dyer shear pace which poses a threat, got one foot and i agree not the best crosser but the pace which will be in the team now will be the best seen in a while IMO
