Best moment as a Leicester Fan?

What are everyones best memories of being a Leicester fan? What moments have you completely and utterly lost it when we have scored?

Personally my best memory was was the pride I felt when we won the league cup in 2000 against Tranmere and the moment where I completely lost my rag was our 3rd goal in the play off semi final against Cardiff. Genuinelly that moment was the most chaotic of my life. When King popped up it seemed like everything was in slow motion. Amazing scenes.

What are everyones elses?

the season where we played these three games, 3-3 against derby at home with big iwan roberts getting a hat trick, the home game against tranmere in the play offs and then the big show down with derby at wembley to get promotion, brian little worked wonders with a lego brick squad

I'm young so it's still Howard's last minute winner against Leeds in League 1. It will be hard to top that, everyone I knew seemed to be at that game and when Howard scored it's defifnitely got to be up there in the top 10 moments of my life.

2nd has to go to Bamba's goal v Man City the other week. Never been so close to the away fans. I was just thinking when we got the corner 'wouldn't it be amazing if we scored in the first minute'. 5 seconds later and it's in the net, couldn't believe it.

Also Preston away and Forest at home last season were fantastic.

Went to the 2000 final against Tranmere but I was too young to really appreciate it.

Was at Wembley every time and went a lot more when I was younger, it's been less since I was 14/15 though.

Remember the Palace game being immense though. Was shitting it for pennos and the silence as Claridge's shot flew toward goal sticks with me.

King's goal to take the lead at Cardiff in the second leg last season did it for me though. Think it was the whole situation, cocking up the first leg then Chopra looking like he'd fooked it for us. To come back from that was incredible and it was just an amazing game. Berner's run in the last few mins of extra time as well, class.

May sound odd, but at Filbo when the whole ground stood vs Man United and sang just before relegation was confirmed. Was such a proud and emotional moment.

Got to agree with Claridges winner against Palace , I swear there seemed like a few seconds of silence before the cheering started ! You had to be there to know what I mean. :chant:

Derby 94 or Crystal Palace 96...

I'll go with Palace as we were all getting ready for a penalty shoot out after Spider had just come on to the bewilderment of everyone, including the Palace players. When we took a freekick which was nodded on to Claridge, one bounce and bang...

Then... time... just... stopped...

Then pandemonium erupted.

What a day.

When we beat Brighton and won promotion with Micky Adams :applause:

I was expecting you to say that the canapés were better at 'such-and-such-a-game'. :P

Another great moment was against Arsenal in the league cup I think it was really can't remember the year. But I think we were 3-1 down and then with 5 mins left we scored 2 and then won on pens thanks to some heroics from the one and only Pegguy Arphexad!

Play-off last year, even though we lost. Was at a bar in Denmark with my mates and my dad and his mates. It was a mental atmosphere! All of my mates starting following Leicester that day.

When we went 3 1 up last season. Went fvking mental, still remember it, sends shivers down my spine :):scarf:

This.

Were in a pub in Sheffield and the UEFA cup final was on the main screen. There were about 15 city fans in there but most were watching the Fulham game.

Soon as that finished we were up on the big screen and it was everyone v Wales. Class atmosphere, made me feel proud to be a City fan 'til Kermo pissed it up for us. Went completely beserk when Kingy bagged it, tables and drinks flying, complete ecstasy.

Was there for that, must have been '98/99ish. was only 9!

Remember him saving Grimandi's and it was mad!

Ahhh, I had LCFC on my laptop (didn't have ss then) and Fulham game on TV. Was an immense night!

The Arsenal game was 1997, its on youtube. Someone asked me to swap shifts for this one. For some unknown reason I agreed and ended up listenning to it on radio Leicester. What an idiot I was for missing out on one of the great comebacks.

what pub was that in mate?

Kingys goal probably tops it for me also, complete carnage, ended up 4 rows down with no shoe and this about 2 minutes after the ball actually hit the net.

First Wembley win for me. Went to Spurs match in 1999. THAT last minute goal broke my heart.

But Matt Elliott banging those 2 smashing headers in from Steve Guppy corners just erased all the above

I wish I could just relive that moment forever. Created history too, Leicester. Last team to win the League Cup final at Old Wembley. There's something special about knowing that that record will never be broken!

Yes know exactly what you meant. Every City fan who was there who I've spoken to says the same.

A moment that will can never or will never be surpassed for me.

Well until May this year maybe...

Play-off final against Palace is the obvious choice. The drama of it being the last minute makes it very special. I also loved the Tranmere Worthington Cup final. It was the only time I went to "old" Wembley and to see us lift a trophy was great.
