Haydos Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 what pub was that in mate? Kingys goal probably tops it for me also, complete carnage, ended up 4 rows down with no shoe and this about 2 minutes after the ball actually hit the net. Scholar near Waitrose
rico Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Theres quite a few, cant really pick a favourite Steve Thompsons equaliser at Wembley vs Swindon still makes the hairs stand up on my neck The 5-0 demolition of Cambridge in the play off semi final at Filbert Street Julian Joachim scoring that wonder goal at Barnsley in the FA Cup Beating Notts County in the Zenith Data Cup at the old Meadow Lane
stu Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 2 bounces Great moment though. Watching it now after all this time still makes me tingle! Picky bugger! <_< Also anyone notice in that video an old City player Paul Fitzpatrick. Jump over the rail to celebrate with Walshy and O'Neill before being grabbed by a steward?
Tommeh Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Scholar near Waitrose London road right.. You at/were at the Forge then?
Haydos Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 London road right.. You at/were at the Forge then? That's the one. I was at Leadmill, had mates at the forge though
SemperEadem Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Hume a few years back at Barnsley and Dyer at Huddesfield were both quality.
Neil_LCFC Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 The 2 play off wins were the best for differing reasons, Derby because we had a terrible side & had lost the 2 previous seasons so to finally win was amazing. Palace because out of the 7 Wembley trips in recent times it was the best we played & thoroughly deserved to win we were awesome that day.
Tommeh Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 That's the one. I was at Leadmill, had mates at the forge though Ah, nice, yeah Leadmill was tidy. Goes without saying you'll be in Babylon or Crystal after Tuesday's match.
Haydos Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Ah, nice, yeah Leadmill was tidy. Goes without saying you'll be in Babylon or Crystal after Tuesday's match. Fvck that. And I won't be out anyway, pissing exam at 9am on weds. Stooooopid tuesday night games.
Tommeh Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Fvck that. And I won't be out anyway, pissing exam at 9am on weds. Stooooopid tuesday night games. Ditto to my flatmate, so, so wrong.
shailen Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Watching the way we came back at cardiff in the play offs and even though we lost, it was one of the most spirited performances i have ever seen. Nigel really got amazing team spirit going between the players last season
cc_star Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 I've got so many. Leicester 5-0 Cambridge Playoff Semis Leicester 1-0 Portsmouth Joachims amazing goal at Forest ground Leicester 3-4 Swindon Our equaliser to come back from 3-0 down Leicester 2-1 Derby Playoff final Leicester 2-1 Claridges winner Kevin Rooster Russell run of scoring in injury time to take is to the playoffs Marshall's goal to take the lead away in Madrid I'd have to say the pick of them was our 3rd against Swindon. As a moment in ranks up there with Lineker's equaliser against Germany in the World Cup semi-finals as me fave moment in football. It's a shame we were robbed by a dodgy pen Other great moments were taking over 8,000 fans to old meadow lane for a zenith data cup tie, and over 11,000 fans in a crowd of 14,000 at P'boro on the end of season run-in
Jon25747 Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/league_cup/7065182.stm Definitely up there. Never left a game that we have lost as buzzing as that.
Conscript Fox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 A Levein 'B' team going 3-1 up at Stamford Bridge in the League Cup, anyone remember? I know we lost 4-3 ... but the total absolute chaos, and disbelief, when we went 3-1 up will always live with me.
ta-fc Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 This topic's giving me shivers... I have 3 favourites for very different reasons: 1) Cambridge at home play off semi final, first time I cried at a match (happiness obviously). 2) random one but Swindon away in the early to mid 90's my first away game and the strangest thing I've seen in football, someone think it was Joachim judo throws there full back, ref sends him off... Neil Lewis leaves the pitch thinking he's been dismissed... At least I think it was Swindon away???? 3) Walshies winner p/o final and listening to Millsy going mad in the radio Leicester commentary box replayed on our drive back from Wembley... I have a tape with that recorded on. Happy, happy times.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Although probably just normal or irrelevant league games but 2 stand out in my mind as being pretty special My first game against Birmingham at the Walkers Dec 2003 i was not only my game watching LCFC but my first ever live game of football and only my 2nd day ever overseas. Just remember being hungover, Jet lagged and peaking at the same time. Or Leeds away this season seeing my first win was amazing jumping up and down hugging randoms when Stevie Drilled in our 2nd goal.
Jakemoore Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 I was only 6 months old when we beat Derby in the play-offs so I obviously can't call that a great memory although I do love watching it on Video Tape my favourite and most mental memory as a Leicester fan was probably the 1-2 FA cup win against Charlton when big Dion Dublin grabbed the winner in the last minute, it wasn't a very significant game but it's still nice scoring so late. Howard v Leeds for the same reason. I also really enjoyed smashing Watford 4-1 last season, that was a good game. And ofcourse the night in Wales.

cambridgefox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 5-0 cambridge. As you can imagine 1 happy person in the car with 3 others willing to make me walk! Wimbledon away leg worthington cup(i think) went to extra time and we won on away goals,my mate who i bullied into supporting Leicester lived in Shorditch and left me in the pub at midday to get battered, while he went to work,i was wrecked. He wanted to get on the beers, and i just felt ill on the tube,.I believe the kick off was delayed to get all the Leicester fans in.i might be wrong, the first half was a blur!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Difficult to choose, there was the Derby Play off Final Win in 1994, The League Cup Final Replay Win against Middlesboro in 1997, The first Wembley win (Cup Final) against Tranmere in 2000. But pushing those three games all the way would be the Arsenal 3-3 game in 1997, The Swindon play-off come back in 1993 (Stevie Thompson's equaliser at 3-3 was amazing - unreal atmosphere) and what about the European home games against Atletico Madrid in 1997, bad result but awesome atmosphere, and Red Star Belgrade in 2000 again not brill result but good atmosphere. Cambridge United play-off semi final win was very emotional also. So many to choose from, isnt it brill being a City fan? I would have to choose, purely for emotion and result (defo not performance) was the Derby play off win in 1994 with Walshy scoring the winner very late on - i remember the old Wembley stadium literally rocking, i mean the concrete under our feet was rocking as there was such an amazing outpouring of emotion. And id like to throw into the mix (much to certain fans annoyance no doubt) ANY win against the F****t - they are all brilliant.
Fox1651 Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Derby play off game in 1994 - brilliant atmosphere

The Doctor Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 The league cup v chelsea in '07, Howards winner v leeds, King's goal v cardiff last season and Birmingham at home in '06-'07, the kop was truely on form that night, best atmosphere i've ever experienced.
Corky Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 The League Cup Final wins obviously, also the Brighton match to secure promotion and the Southend away match to win League 1. Craig made a good claim about the Man Utd relegation match, we went down with pride and got a lot of praise for it in the press afterwards.
